Many were complaining about other high thread count sheets on this site saying that they were too thick and starch which led me to gamble on these ones which were less reviewed. These sheets are buttery smooth and feel exactly how high thread count sheets should.
I was surprised how thick these sheets are. Someone said to me they feel like rubber. But OH they don't feel like that when you sleep in them. They are a little warm, but not as warm as flannel sheets. I expect these sheets to last a long time because of how thick they are. They take up a lot of room in the washer. I can only wash the set alone, before with my other sheets I could add towels. I line dry my sheets and they don't wrinkle. I would buy another set.
Love these sheets, they stay smooth under the body. But make sure you pull the corners real tight. They do get cold in the winter, I suggest laying on top of the spread before turning down the sheets LOL! The only complaint I have is the top sheet gets creases in the upper stitching part of the sheet. Its unavoidable unless you iron or are meticulous about folding very carefully.
I ordered this cause at the time it has all 5 stars review. But this end up the most expensive and the worse sheet I have. It is very thick, feels like vinyl, not soft at all. I don't know why other reviews say this is soft. The thread is very thick too, this makes the sheet thick and stiff, and coarse. The high thread count sheets mean to be within one square inch, how many thread you can fit in, the finer the threads the more count you will get. It is suppose to be a measure of how fine the threads are. But this set is to jammed 1500 thick and coarse thread and the results is bad. I hated it every time I touch it. After a few wash, now it started to pile a bit. I will not recommend this to anyone. It is a bad quality sheet set. If you want a vinyl feel than you will rate this good. I want soft and silky, and this is not it.
I have purchased 1000+ thread count sheets on Overstock 3 times before. They do take extra care, as any $100+ purchase should, but they give back so much more. I bought these as a gift for my girlfriend and she absolutely LOVES them! I know some people don't like the 'stiffness' when they first come out of the package, I would just tell them to be patient. Sleep on them, wash them regualarly and they will become even more luxurious!
I love these sheets. I purchased the blue, and at first I thought the color was off from the picture. After looking again, it is pretty close. They are a light blue or a sky blue. They look good on the bed. I really love the thickness and qualtiy, and I don't find them too warm at all. The do have a satin feel, but not as much as others. I have purchased other high thread count sheets, and these are my favorite. I expect these to last for a long, long time. do plan on purchasing another set. My only "complaint" would be that I prefer the pillow cases to close. These do not (like most).
These are nicely made, but way heavy, so heavy in fact they set my washing machine to Error when I washed them (by themselves) and then took forever to dry in a Gas dryer. Not worth it <imho> The better bet and I purchased them at the same time is the Grand Luxe Egyptian 800 thread count sheet set which are the same price but better made (USA), more comfortable and with more detail. Overstock did a great thing with those, these on the other hand not so much I have pure silk sheets, as well as high end cotton so I know the differences.
These sheets are very thick. I did wash them first in hot water because my mattress is not but 12" thick. They did draw up a little (100% cotton) and fit the bed very tight like I wanted. They do wrinkle, but I have had cotton sheets before like these and they get better & better the more they are washed. Love them!
I have been looking for quality sheets, reasonably priced, for a long time. These sheet exceed my expectations. They are thick, soft, true to size and extremely well made. I have ordered two more sets and given away all my other sheets.
My first set had two holes at the corners of the fitted sheet due to insufficient seam allowances during manufacturing. My second set was the wrong color- ivory not white. The third set I never received. I am at the point where I might just stitch the sheets myself, unfortunate at this price point. As for the sheets... They are the texture of an old school Oxford white dress shirt- durable and comforting. The queen size set necessitates queen size pillows. Love the sheets, but was the hassle worth it?
