We are long time "Down Product" users. We have never received or had such A DEAD GOOSE SMELL in any of the Goose Down Products we own. We read all of the reviews and stayed away from other products that were reviewed unacceptable because of a bad odor. When the Feather bed was received we opened the plastic bag and were met with a STRONG DISGUSTING GOOSE SMELL. It is SO PERFECT IN ALL OTHER WAYS we were determined to get rid of the odor so we could use it. We left it outside during the day for 5 consecutive days, paid to have it dry cleaned and CANNOT GET RID OF THE ODOR! Of course we cannot return it and we also cannot use it. Other than the smell it is sooo awesome. Much nicer than the photo or description. What a shame that Overstock is offering this item. It has never been our experience to receive any inferior products from this Company, but not this time. However we will continue to shop with Overstock but never for Down Products. We will buy Down locally so we can check the odor prior to purchasing. Ultimately it would have been a much better deal. Choose another Feather bed and if you receive one with a bad odor that does not disappear within 2-4 days (most Down will have a slight odor when you first remove it from plastic), send it back before it is too late!

Be prepared to air it out, fabreeze it if needed just like any other feather or down product. I have back problems AND insomnia issues and this topper has made a huge difference in how I sleep. Expect to have to fluff this topper ATLEAST once a week, expect to have to fluff any topper you buy atleast once a week. If you are unable to do so I would look into buying a non feather/down topper. I own both types and I can honestly say the feather/down best suits me, but the alternative is not bad. I currently have my mattress protector (baby sometimes sleep in bed) on top of my topper so I cannot say I get full effect, but the fact that it is so thick, it still provides ample of comfort. I would recommend buying a cover for it so you can remove and wash it to keep it clean. When fluffing try not to grab just the top and shake, some people were "surprised" that it ripped at the seams when fluffing this way. I have had no issues with bare spots, poking feathers or escaping down and have had my topper for about a month now. I ordered a queen size for my queen bed and it fits perfectly. Great price, great quality, great comfort.

The feathers poke out and then come out of this featherbed everyday. When it is fluffed up I need to vacuum as the feathers are all over the floor. DO NOT BUY THIS FEATHERBED UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE POKED ALL NIGHT AND LOVE TO VACUUM.

This featherbed smells terrible. It came with a wriiten notice that stated the odor may be concentrated due to being sealed up for shipping. It also stated the odor will go away after a few weeks. After 2 months, the odor is still strong. Choose another brand.

I don't move much when sleeping at night, so quite often I would wake up with sore hips. The feather bed cushions my hips so I awake with no more sore hips! It's soooooo comfortable! And the price was terrific for a King size. Also, the 330 thread count cuts down on feathers escaping. I would recommend this feather bed to everyone - try it, you'll love it!

The fabric material is nice and that is the best thing I can say. It feels like they sent me fabric and forgot to stuff it. The 29.99 foam eggshell topper that I had before felt more comfortable. I am going to return.

I was looking for a cheap way to make an older mattress more comfortable. Sometimes the feathers stick through, but that is what happens when you get any kind of featherbed. It really did smell bad when I took it out of the box, but after fluffing it up and leaving it in a spare room for awhile, the smell gradually decreased. It is not quite as comfortable as I hoped it would be, but it definitely helped my old worn down mattress feel better. Overall, it was a good bargain.

The feather bed is very soft and comfortable. After about 4 weeks the feathers started to poke through. I had bought another feather bed cover and put it on and the feathers are not poking through that one yet. I knew from experience with feather products that this is a problem so I planned in advance for it. I like the feather bed very much.

Overall comfortable, EXCEPT that feathers poke through the fabric, which can be relatively uncomfortable as they are sharp....we will try to add a cover blanket to stop this, but that has been the big disappointment so far

VERY nice! No odor, no down or feathers escaping. But, as with just about any feather bed, it must be fluffed almost nightly - for the full effect. What works for me: a king size feather bed put into a queen size high thread count, sateen duvet cover - over the mattress that has a fitted sheet (same color as duvet). The duvet holding the feather bed becomes the bottom sheet and with no bottom sheet to have to pull off to fluff the feather bed, fluffing nightly is a breeze. Highly recommend this feather bed.

This is the worst featherbed that I've purchased thus far! I spend hours pulling out poking through feathers. It's not worth the money and it is hard to get a good nights sleep without getting stabbed by feathers. Do not recommend.

You will not find a more comfortable featherbed than this! I don't know how anyone could rate this less than 5 stars. It is soft, fluffy, super cozy. Buy the 5" featherbed cover to go with it. Best purchase ever!

The description inspired hopes of cloud like softness, and the reality was course feathers in the bottom section that was easy to feel through the down. The best from the O did not compare to the featherbed during a first class hotel stay at the W.

Not happy. It's always flat. no cushin.

I bought this featherbed on Overstock a few years ago and it's still a pleasure to sleep on. I clean it at least once a year with my upholstery cleaner, drying it at the laundry mat. We fluff it once a week and it's a pleasure to sleep on.

My grandmother had a "true" featherbed. As a child I loved sleeping in her bed. As an adult I have purchased several featherbed mattress toppers. I usually replace them every 2 or 3 years. In my lifetime Ive owned about 5 total. I also purchased a memory foam topper 3 years ago, I liked it but it wasn't as soft as a featherbed. I frequently shop online at Overstock and when I saw this featherbed I purchased it. Within a month the feathers started poking through the top. Talk about uncomfortable! I continually had to fluff it, which meant I had to remove the sheets every other day, and every time I shook it out the feathers went everywhere. It truly was NOT worth the hassle so after 2 months I removed it and put the memory foam pad back on my bed. that was 4 months ago and I am STILL pulling feathers out of my mattress. What a waste of money and time!

I am disappointed in this product. It was used for about a week and then the feathers started coming out EVERYWHERE! They imbeded in the matress and I had to pick them all out by hand. The feathers were also VERY poky and stuck to clothing, carpet and matress. WHAT A MESS!! I don't feel that it is worth the $$.
