For the money, this duvet is a very good deal. Washes well and if removed from dryer promptly no need to iron. Very attractive and soft. Not your five star hotel duvet, but if you have pets that sleep with you it would be frivolous to use a five star hotel duvet! Generously sized. I am very pleased with this purchase.
Bought this to replace another duvet purchased on Overstock that my dogs ripped. This one is cheaper in price and better quality. Very thick, very soft and so far has not wrinkled. The seams seem very thick, especially around the buttons. Very high quality for the price. Got the green and it's a bit more muted than what I see on the screen but a very nice color.
I bought this as one of many top sheet options for our California King bed. Preferring lighter weights in summer - we have started using a duvet & feather light weight comforter as our top sheet. Pairing it w/the fitted sheet allows the elimination of an additional top sheet. Less laundry since I'm only laundering the fitted & duvet each week. This duvet is soft enough to be close to my skin. However, it is a little wrinkly when it comes out of the dryer. I don't press it - however, I do press & infuse lavender water into the pillowcases for sweet dreams :) This is a lower thread count than we are used to - my husband is a sheet snob, so I was actually surprised that it past his discriminating skin test. I think because he was tired of the bulky weight of high thread count is what allowed him to appreciate this new duvet. Since I like to have 4 sets of top sheets, I will be buying 3 more. I'm going to try another brand to compare - just because I'd like to have a little less wrinkle. Sorry review is so long - hope this helps.
Nice quality, soft and light duvet and pillow cases. I replaced an 800 thread count duvet cover with this one because the original was so heavy it was cumbersome to sleep beneath it. I like the feather weight of this duvet cover, I can move easily now.
For the price this item is o.k. It is not as soft as I would have hoped. it remains wrinkled on the bed and would need ironing if a smooth look is desired. it fits well (did not shrink out of size when washed and dried) but the opening at the bottom is entirely open. it would nave been better if the bottom were closed a few inches at the corners.this would have made the quilt lay better on the bed.
Very pleased with this duvet cover and pillowcases. Soft and supple (not too thick), well made and delivered on time. I did sew ties on the corners of the duvet and the comforter, a ten minute job. Should prevent any aggrivating shifting within the cover and make it easier to put back on after washing. I also noted the little extra thickness (versus sheet and comforter without duvet) made the comforter warmer and cosier. Love it!
I was very pleased with this duvet cover. I had been wanting one for winter, but did not want to pay a lot. The color was slightly darker than pictured, but it still worked out fine. It is soft, and came out of the dryer pretty smooth. I did iron it, but only because I am probably overly picky. I don't know if I would iron it again, since it got some wrinkles anyway after wrestling the comforter into it! It does not have ties to hold the comforter in place, but I pinned the corners to keep it from shifting and it is fine. I feel it was very good for the price. Would recommend.
The simplicity of this set may not be to some people's taste but I love the luxury of soft cotton against my skin and this duvet set was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I bought a comforter that was microfiber, not realizing until it arrived that it was dry clean only. We have four dogs that sleep with us and .....well, a dry-clean only comforter simply would not work. Faced with the choice of returning the comforter or finding a washable duvet cover, I went with the duvet cover since the weight of the comforter was perfect for the high desert in Arizona. I may buy another set out of concern that when this one is washed thin, another set may no longer be available to buy. I've had this duvet set a week and it has been washed twice. It performed beautifully. I think if you like the simplicity of Egyptian cotton in stripes, you will love this duvet, too.
Really nice sheet; I prefer the old style cotton sheets that have some body and you know when they have been changed…these aren't all the way there but they are close. They don't have that silky feel of 1000 thread count sheets; more body, great feel…love them.
