This duvet cover is great. It is very thick, and very heavy... which should be expected for 1200 thread count. After a couple of washes, the duvet is very soft, and luxurious. My favorite feature of the duvet cover is the fact that there is no seam at the top of the cover. There is an openeing on the bottom (which closes with buttons) and two seams up the side, but none at the top. Which means, this is one piece of fabric. Not "top and bottom" pieces that are sewed together around the edges. Love it.
This product came exactly as advertised, no surprises, no disappointment here. I usually don't write reviews but in this case I was very pleased with this Duvet. I washed it right when it came and took it to my cleaners to have them professonally press it and it looks great and is holding the press very well just like high thread counts will do. Highly recommend.
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? The color description was an excellent match to the actual product, so many times what you see or read is not what you get, but that's not the case here, the sage is a great color.
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. The quality is what I expected, 1200 thread count is heavier, more durable and holds it's shape better the other types. Nice feel.
- How accurate was the on site description of the product? Very accurate.
This duvet cover is not only very soft, but has excellent weight to it. I like a heavy duvet, I like the weight while I sleep. We live in Massachusetts, and it gets very cold at night. Easy to wash, I do gentle/cold, and dry on low. It does wrinkle a bit, as do my high quality sheets, but I am not one who minds that. If you're looking for a soft and heavy weight cover for your duvet, this is a great choice. I ordered a second one for my parents, as well.
I bought a second one because our first met with an unfortunate disaster in the laundry room. This duvet cover is so soft, substantial, and beautiful. It does wrinkle in the dryer, so I just hang it to dry. You won't be disappointed with this luxurious duvet cover.
A real skeptic when it comes to advertised thread counts (just how power are their lobbyists, and how lax are regulations?), I was nonetheless impressed by the heft of the fabric for these pieces - the soft hand and sheen as well. The duvet fit my comforter perfectly, and the shams look great. The color was true to what was exhibited (I purchased sage), and that "factory" chemical smell from the packaging wore off in less than 24 hours. Overall, count me as very satisfied with the value I received for my purchase, and the service I experienced in the purchase and delivery process.
This Duvet set from Luxor treasures is thick, cool, soft and crisp. Exactly what I wanted and expected of high thread count Egyptian cotton. I prefer a crisp feel over the silky touch of sateen weave, and these sheets deliver. I bought the taupe. It's a true taupe. Love them, and highly recommend this Duvet set and the sheets as well. On another note, I purchased the 650 thread count from this same company Just two days before and was deeply disappointed as it did not have the cool touch of Egyptian cotton, nor 650 tc and they were silky, though not advertised as sateen. I was sure that the 1200 tc duvet and sheets sets I ordered from Luxor would also disappoint, and then they arrived and I sleep in heaven! its very odd that the same company produced such different qualities. I'm confounded. Never the less, both the sheets and duvet set Luxor Treasures produced are the perfect luxury, quality and genuine Egyptian high thread count cotton that I love to sleep in.
