I ordered a king size duvet in ivory and received it in July. I thought it was very pretty when it arrived, and was so happy that I saved so much money by not purchasing a similar duvet at a more expensive retail store. However, after only two months of use, the duvet already has patches of threads that are pulling up and making the fabric come apart. I'm so upset since this product received such good reviews, and it's hard to find a high thread count for this price. We don't have any animals or kids that jump on or lay on the duvet so I don't know why its already coming apart. It also hasn't been in the washing machine yet. I guess I'll have to pay more to get a duvet that will last longer at a higher end retail store and hope it lasts longer.
I purchased these based on the review that they didn't attract pet hair - not sure what kind of pets that reviewer had but these have done nothing but attract hair from my two papillons - in fact I'm surprised the dogs have any hair left on them there's been so much caught in the duvet. And even after washing it I'm still pulling hairs off of it. I've never had this big of a problem with the other blankets or even the duvets that have been on the bed. Out of the package I was pulling off loose strings from miscellaneous places (if I wanted to pull strings I would've sewed it myself). The taupe should be labeled as a milk chocolate it's so dark. IIt is also a very cheap looking duvet (nothing as luxurious as the one in the picture). Overall, it's just a disappointing purchase.
The size is large enough to cover the king size bed and come down the sides beyond the side of the mattress, which can be hard to find at all. Good quality and I'm glad there is polyester in it to make it wrinkle-resistant and maintain. If it had come in another color that I could have used, I would have bought another set. Delighted with this purchase.
After I purchased this and was awaiting the arrival I found out it was a blend and had some concern. Don't be worried, it's not too stiff and is very nice. I'm having to put a gate up at the bedroom door to keep our cats ( 2 ) off the bed now! They know they're not allowed in there but they really like the quality of this too! It hasn't snagged at all either which really surprised me. This has to be the best almost mistake I've ever made!
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Perfect match ( white )
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. The quality is better than expected for a blend. So happy with my purchase!
- How accurate was the on site description of the product? Very accurate!
I though that cotton rich, meant it was an extra good grade of cotton, and not a cotton/polyester blend. I do not buy polyester in my sheets or anything else if I can avoid. The title should have been "Cotton/Polyester 600 ThreadCount Wrinkle resistant Suvet Cover Set" which would have been an accurate product description. It is only when your down to last line of detailed description are you informed that there is high % of Polyester. It appears whole description and title is ment to mislead. I violate two rules of mine in purchase on Overstock. 1. Read everything down to last line and 2. Never buy anything with only one good review unless I have previously seen or owned the article. Needless to stay I am sending it back.
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? white is white
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. ok made
- How accurate was the on site description of the product? misleading , unless you know that Cotton Rich means Cotton / Polyester
In addition to the color being incorrect and not matching our bedroom, the thread count of the cover allows the duvet slide around inside of the cover. Every nite the cover moves around and one of us ends up sleeping with just cover over top. Do not recommend this item.
The teal cover is a very vibrant beautiful teal color. Not the dull color the ad seems to suggest. I was pleasantly surprised. It makes a statement in our bedroom. No ties to prevent slipping and button holes look cheaply sewn. I'll see how they hold up after a few washes but they look like they will unravel quickly. Also lots of loose threads to remove. But overall I'm pleased so far.
This is [pleasant fabric, smooth to the touch. The shams are easy to use and a good design. The duvet cover fits well and stays in place thanks to the tip a bout tying the inside corners. LIked it qewll enough to buy a second set. Thanks
I needed a specific size to fit my Cal King down comforter. This Duvet was absolutely perfect! The color I needed was a grey tone and the Stone color was just right. I did modify the Duvet by sewing ribbons in the corners (inside) so I can tie the corners of my comforter (it has sewn-in loops at the 4 corners) to the Duvet which keeps the comforter from shifting and stays right in place. The manufacturer would make this Duvet even better if they provided corner ties. I wasn't sure about the button closure as the comforter could poke out in the open spaces between the buttons. Having the corners tied to the comforter, this hasn't happened. I can't speak to this if the corners weren't secured. I've washed this Duvet in cold water and tumbled dry on extra low and it came out just beautiful. Didn't take very long to dry either. No wrinkles! I like the feel of the fabric - it's soft and smooth but is a bit on the "heavy" side. All in all, I am very happy with this Duvet. 😊
My hubby and I have some friends who have raved about their European bedding which consists of using a bottom sheet, and then individual comforters with duvets (no top sheet). We finally decided to try it, and though standard twin size comforters and duvets are a bit larger than the European ones, I can't imagine using smaller ones, as these twins are just perfect on a king bed. They are so soft and luxurious and wash and dry perfectly. Making the bed is a snap, and when I toss and turn at night, hubby's blankets aren't getting yanked. The color seems to be spot on the picture. The only thing I considered doing was replacing the buttons with velcro. However, after a couple uses and washings, the buttonholes seem to have loosened up and are just fine.
This duvet cover is really great. Loved the feel, washed up great. The only thing wrong was the color. I thought "Stone" would be a grey - cool color and it was a green warm shade. I gave it to my sis-in-law and she loves it. I then ordered a light blue which is now on my bed!
We recently ordered this and were extremely impressed with the quality and softness of it. The fabric was thick enough that I wasn't afraid to use it yet light enough that it wasn't suffocating to sleep under. I would definitely order this brand again
If you are looking for a reasonably-priced duvet, this is definitely a good choice! It is very soft and very warm. My biggest concern when shopping for a duvet set was cat hair. We have three cats and after a couple days, our bedding looks like a hairy creature itself. This set (so far) has not accumulated much cat hair at all!! I am so happy with it! A few things tof which to take note : when I took the bedding out of the package it was INCREDIBLY wrinkled. However, I just popped it in the dryer with a wet (clean) sock in order to steam out the wrinkles and put it on the bed. Fabulous! Also, there are no ties to secure the duvet inside the duvet cover. I bought clips for $* and they solved that problem! Definitely a great choice if you are looking for a simple duvet set for a good price! :)
I would recommend this if you want something utilitarian not showy. The workmanship is average but not bad. For being 1/2 polyester I would think it would wrinkle a little less. It's great for me as I let my Springer Spaniel sleep with me and I need something that can stand up to that....which it does. The color is nice and as indicated. It's a good value, but it goes without saying it depends on what you want or need.
I am satisfied with the quality of the 3 piece duvet set. I only needed the duvet cover so I opted for a well-priced set. I like the fabric very much. It is very smooth and very white. The thread and stitching could be a little more sturdy, but I don't expect it to be a problem.
This set is soft as can be and did not wrinkle when I washed it upon arrival. Keep in mind it is a poly blend, not just cotton. I have always loved percale sheets etc., some high thread count cottons wrinkle horribly and get too heavy, this is heavenly.
The fabric feels thick and soft, high quality, high thread count. It has a subtle sheen to it, but It doesn't look shiny. Pure white color. The button closure works well, and the buttons are mostly hidden. Lovely. I am very please. I haven't washed it yet, so I don't know about how it will wear. But so far it is perfect. Warning: all king-sized comforters and duvet covers are different sizes. Make sure the dimensions are compatible.
