The duvets are even prettier than the picture. I love them.Read More
Out of the bag, the quality and appearance of the duvet was great, but the odor was unbearable. We had to wash the set 4 times, give it a soak in vinegar solution and leave it outside airing out for over a week. I don't know what kind of chemical smell it was, but it was potent, and probably not good for you. We even had to run a cleaning cycle on the washer after the first round of washing the duvet.Read More
This is a great duvet! I like the 300 thread count because it's heavy enough but still soft. I've had 600 count sheets and they are still stiff feeling after years of washing. I got the green/taupe/blue tone and it's gorgeous, and what a great idea to have stripes on the reverse so I can change the look now and then! I would buy this again. Love Overstock quality and prices!!Read More
Nice feel to the fabric the colors are very pretty and it looks so nice.Read More
I don't now what ya'll are talking about wrt to the smell... yeah it smelled like it had been chemically processed but it wasn't THAT bad and it definitely washed out with one wash. I'm really happy with the sets (I bought two sets) and I use them on a king bed so that my husband and I can have our own blankets... euro style. Liked them enough that I ordered another two sets in the burgundy (I got the green originally) and I'll treat them like sheets... trade them out, etc. every week.Read More
It's very nice and washed well, but OMG it STINKS!!!! I washed it twice and the chemical smell is overwhelming! It's hanging outside now in the hopes that it eventually stops smelling so terrible. It made my whole house smell awful as soon as I opened the package. I don't understand why fabric would smell so bad. Wished I maybe spent more and got something that didn't smell like this. I don't often write reviews, but felt I had to in this case.Read More
I ordered two twins in burgundy. The colors are more muted than in the pictures. They are also less distinct than the pictures show. The burgundy is sort of a watered down burgundy. The greens are also a soft color. They are excellent quality and go with my rug, which has coordinating touches of lavender to go with this burgundy. It definitely is not a deep red.Read More
Unfortunately the set looked nice - but it was filled with a moldy/mildew smell that did NOT dissipate. Returned for another and asked that it be QA'd prior to sending. They didn't - same moldy/mildew in 2nd set. Returning this one as well.Read More
After reading some of the reviews I was pleasantly surprised. My first concern was the odor that everyone talked about. It smelled like the plastic it arrived in. I washed it without any special effort and it smelled fresh and clean. It is soft and the colors are pretty...I ordered the green one. It is exactly what I need. We have a dog that sleeps with us so I like the idea that I didn't spend a lot of money but we still have a pretty bed. I also like the idea of being able to wash it without the bulk of a comforter. For the price the quality is good.Read More
I thought I'd try this set in spite of the majority of other review warnings. Well, I should have trusted what they said. I don't even know how to describe the awful smell of this fabric. I've never encountered such a thing before and cannot imagine what was used in production to cause it. It was still very noticeable after laundering. Over several weeks time, the odor has mostly dissipated, but what have we been exposed to? The pattern and soft colors of this set are pretty with average quality of construction, but I would NEVER RECOMMEND unless you're attracted to strong musty chemical smells.Read More
Questions & Answers
Thank you for contacting us tekslayer. The color below is a pale yellow. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
it is accurate.
do you have the coordinating bed skirt for the green twin duvet?
Hello zippa42, we have matching sheets on item # 15654121, however, we do not have the bedskirts in our inventory. Thank you for checking with us.
What are colors in burgundy paisley? What is reverse side?
Hi promellie, we were able to verify this information with our support team. The reverse side is striped with eggplant, green and yellow stripes. We are working to have a picture added as soon as possible. Thanks fro shopping with us.
The burgundy is almost a raspberry. It is nowhere near as dark as in the pictures. It is pretty, however. The striped reverse side is not at all a feminine combination. They do work just fine for me so I happily kept them.
Does the blue have a white or ivory strip?
The Burgundy and Green have a matching cream stripe
Hello bphmimi11, The stripe is more of a cream than white. I hope this is helpful. Thank you for shopping with us.

Bed Sheet Thread Count Fact Sheet
The thread count of bed sheets refers to the number of threads per square inch of fabric. For example, if a square inch of fabric in a 300-thread count sheet with a standard weave were examined closely, 150 vertical threads and 150 horizontal threads would be counted, for a sum total of 300. The higher the thread count, the softer and smoother the sheets will be. Thread count is an important consideration to take when choosing a new set of sheets, but it should not be used as a sole indicator of quality. Equally important in choosing a bed sheet is the type and quality of the materials used as well as the fabric's weave.

Duvets vs Down Comforters
A new duvet or down comforter is a fast, easy way to change the look of your bedroom decor. These bed coverings can also keep you warm and toasty on a cold winter's night. Traditionally, the word duvet, a French word meaning "down," was interchangeable with down comforter. Today, however, when most Americans say the word duvet, they are actually referring to a duvet cover. Duvet covers are made to slip over many different types of comforters, whereas a down comforter can be used as a standalone bed covering. Best Duvet Covers for Each Season
For those who use duvet blankets year-round, duvet covers allow you to change patterns and color to match every season. Along with the decor of the bedroom, a duvet cover may enhance the ambiance of the entire room or supply it with rich colors and textures for the ultimate comfort factor. If you purchased an expensive duvet, covering it throughout the year will keep it in good shape and allow you to wash it without compromising the batting. Look below to learn the best duvet covers for each season. Spring: Once the evenings start warming up, lighter fabrics like satin provide sheen and style to any bedroom. Satin duvet covers are most often comprised of fabrics like nylon, rayon or silk to provide durability as well as comfort. For spring, lighter colors, including pastels or variations of cream and beige, brighten the room. Summer: During warm summer nights, cotton duvets are one of the most common fabric choices. Light and airy, cotton is also easy to clean and comes in virtually every color and pattern. For the summer season, try a white duvet cover, which will make the room appear more open and spacious. A cotton blend that contains polyester is also an ideal choice for summer, because it is soft, requires simple washing and does not wrinkle. Fall: For the fall season, a duvet cover that is warm enough for intermittent chilly nights is an ideal choice. Microsuede duvet covers offer a soft feel to bedding and come in a variety of colors. This material is easy to care for and machine washable. For fall, choose earthy colors like beige, brown, dark green or burgundy for a seasonal look. Winter: A luxurious duvet cover is a favorite option for warmth during the winter months. Velvet is a soft fabric that comes in a variety of rich colors and provides plenty of insulation for cold nights. The luxurious texture looks good in any style of room decor. For winter months, choose deep, rich colors like burgundy, plum, forest green or chocolate to enhance the room. View All Duvet Covers Back to Guides Directory View All Duvet Covers
