I love this quilt. I've had it for a while and it has held up beautifully. It is heavy and warm though I keep it on the bed in summer minus the blankets. It reminds me of country English, French, or country decor. Great quality quilt set for this or any price.Read More
I bought this Quilt set for my motorhome. Love it and have alot of compliments.Read More
THIS QUILT REMINDS ME OF THE "QUILT BLANKETS" MY GRANDMA HAD ON HER BEDS WHEN I WAS A LITTLE GIRL. IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL. IT IS VERY WELL MADE AND SO SOFT. THE COLORS ARE SOFT BUT BRIGHT ENOUGH . I GET VERY COLD SO THIS GIVES ME THE WORMTH I NEED WITHOUT BEING TO HEAVY. I AM THINKING OF USEING THE WHITE SIDE TRIMMED IN GINGHAM NEXT SUMMER. I REALLY DO RECOMMEND THIS QUILT IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR QUALITY AND VALUE. I GOT THE KING SIZE FOR MY QUEEN BED AND IT FITS VERY LONG ON THE SIDES, 6 AND A HALF INCHES FROM FLOOR. HOPE THIS HELPS.Read More
I have been eyeing this quilt for some time and so glad I went ahead and purchased it. We put new wood flooring in our bedroom and this looks wonderful against it. The quality is good and so was the price. Love it!Read More
Received my quilt set yesterday and it is much nicer than pictured. It has a good weight to it, not too light, not too heavy and the stitching design is very intricate and detailed. The blue color in this quilt can be used with navy blue or a lighter blue and is versatile. I would definetly recommend this quilt set. The only thing is that the King size has shams that are for King size pillows. I ordered King for my Queen size bed because I wanted to use it as a bedspread and this worked out perfectly.Read More
This quilt set was everything I expected. It was a good weight, good stitching and beautiful. The only problem I had with it is that even though it was a 'king', with the new mattress sizes it had to go on the 'queen' bed instead. I would buy it again. Very good quality.Read More
My husband got me this for Christmas two years ago and it is still holding up beautifully. He even commented on how pleased he was with the quality of the set. Well made, good stitching, fits nicely, lasting quality. Cottage-y without being too feminine. Would go nicely in a Victorian room as well as in a simple cottage room. The blue looks super with my chambray and indigo items, as well as my whites. Heavier than a coverlet but not as heavy as a comforter -- nice all-season weight (add to a comforter for winter).Read More
This quilt set set looks beautiful in my yellow painted bedroom. The quiling stiches are beautifully done. Very happy with my purchase.Read More
I was looking for white and blue toile bed cover that was not too dense in color. The pictures of this was exactly what I wanted but the reviews had me guessing if it would be what I was looking for. It is perfect for me. The blue print is light which I think adds a clean and airy look to the bedroom and makes the bed look very inviting. I have a queen size pillow top mattress about 20" deep, and the quilt reaches just past the bottom of the mattress and covers about an inch or so of the bed skirt/dust ruffle that I have on it. If you want to use it as a bedspread for a queen bed I would suggest getting the king size, but as a quilt topper that covers the mattress it seems to fit fine. The bottom hem is scalloped and the gingham trim around the hem is not very noticeable without other gingham complements such as a dust ruffle. I don't like a lot of covers and prefer being cool to being warm so at least for me in a Pennsylvania winter, unless it is very cold outside the quilt seems like it would suffice. If you like it warm you would probably need a blanket underneath it. I have not washed this quilt, but it seems sturdy enough to be machine washed on a gentle cycle, and dried with a medium heat. This is very close to the representative picture and it is exactly what I wanted.Read More

Popular Types of Quilts
Out of all the bedding made, quilts may be the most diverse. Quilts are produced in all kinds of colors, patterns, sizes, styles and types. If you're looking for a quilt but don't know where to start, take a look at the popular types of quilts below to learn more about this beautiful kind of bedding. Amish quilts: These beautiful quilts reflect the Amish way of living and feature solid colors, deep hues, geometric patterns and very little embellishment. Amish quilts contain the highest quality of construction and stitching, and, sometimes, the wonderful stitch patterns (scrolls, feathers) contrast with the simple backgrounds of their quilts. Applique quilts: These quilts use a French needlework technique where fabric pieces are sewn onto another piece of material to create a design. Applique is used extensively in the quilting process and is not to be confused with patchwork. Patchwork pieces are joined together; applique is sewn on top of the whole piece. Baltimore album quilts: Baltimore album quilts came from Maryland in the early 1800s. Each block in the design of these quilts is appliqued differently, often in ornate floral patterns. Bangladeshi quilts: These quilts are made with layers of Saree cloth. Saree cloth is silk cloth used by women of India to wrap and fold around the body as a garment. The cloth is usually 40 to 60 inches wide by 6 yards long. These quilts are used as bedding or as decorative pieces. Bargello quilts: Bargello quilts are created with offset squares in an up-and-down geometric "V" pattern. The small squares of different fabrics and the colorful designs make these quilts true works of art. Hawaiian quilts: Hawaiian quilts are not pieced, and they usually showcase a large, symmetrical applique in the center of the quilt. Most often the background is white or another solid color. Patchwork quilts: Patchwork quilts are constructed of many small pieces of fabric which are put together in an improvised or irregular pattern. This is a well-known quilt style, and examples of historical patchwork quilts are found in many museums. Ralli quilts: Ralli quilts, sometimes known as rilli quilts, are traditional quilts made in India or Pakistan. There is an abundance of embroidery as well as applique on the patchwork patterns. Star quilts: Star quilts are created with a large star shape, or several star shapes, dominating the pattern. Wedding ring quilts: Wedding ring quilts are crafted in a design of interlocking rings. This pattern goes far back in history: in the fourth century it was used to decorate drinking cups in Rome. Wedding ring quilts are highly popular and make wonderful wedding gifts. If you're looking for a gift to please an engaged couple, you can't go wrong with a wedding quilt. Bedding always makes a significant gift for the bride and groom, and a quilt with coordinating Egyptian cotton sheets can be even better. View All Quilts Back to Guides Directory View All Quilts

Ruffles and pleats can also give long skirts a feminine touch. A-line skirts are the best shape for most women because they create a waistline and widen at the hem, balancing out larger hips. Select flattering skirt sets. To ensure your skirt looks as professional as possible for the office, find a skirt set with an accompanying jacket. You can pair the skirt set with any type blouse, including silk, cotton or polyester. For a clean look, wear a skirt and jacket with a blouse that easily tucks in and does not create a bulge or pull around the skirt waist. You can also pair women's skirts with separate jackets if you want to mix up the wardrobe. Choose a slimming pencil skirt. One of the most common and fashionable skirts to wear is the pencil skirt. It pairs nicely with a variety of blouses, sweaters and jackets, making it a versatile part of the wardrobe. The pencil skirt is flattering to all body types, from very thin to curvaceous women. The skirt's silhouette is straight at the waist and narrows at the knees, allowing it to hug all of the curves of the body. Look for a pencil skirt that has a slit or pleat in the back near the hem to allow for increased movement while walking. Find an appropriate casual skirt. Casual skirts can be professional and dressy enough to wear to work. For the office, look for skirts made of cotton, khaki material, linen or even wool to provide a comfortable option. Keep casual skirts mid-length, allowing them to fall either slightly above or below the knee cap. View All Skirts Back to Guides Directory View All Skirts
