Having grown up sleeping on heavy white cotton sheets before synthetics were available, I found these sheets to be very smooth and luxurious. Although I prefer the rougher texture of the heavier 1000 thread sheets offered at Overstock, I will admit these are smoother. My wife is way more sensitive than I am and prefers the 600-count supima sheets. It is interesting reading the reviews on the various sheets how many people find the heavier, higher thread count sheets too "scratchy". If high thread count sheets feel smooth there is something wrong. Higher thread count leads to a higher density of microscopic cotton fibers sticking out which absorb minerals from the wash water and become stiff leading to the rougher texture. With low thread count sheets there is more air space and fewer fibers, thus they feel smoother. Supima cotton has longer fibers which means there are fewer fiber ends in the thread which helps increase the smoothness. Although these sheets are silky smooth, I actually prefer the cheaper short fiber cotton with higher thread count which gives a rougher texture, but that is my preference.
I have gone through many sheet sets trying to find one that is comfortable right from the start and remains so, washing after washing. I have tried sheets from 400tc to over 1000tc. I tried this sheet and absolutely loved it. After washing the first set several times, I bought another set. I wash them on the delicate cycle and do not overdry them. They are virtually wrinkle free and are of a generous size, both the fitted sheet and the flat sheet. I have different depth mattresses on my queen size beds and they fit both very well. I have found nothing negative to say about them, and will be buying more in the future. Please do not remove them from your stock!
These are wonderful sheets, and feel very luxurious. They do wrinkle when washed/dried but are lovely enough that they actually inspired me to iron them (flat sheet and pillow cases, anyway), and they iron beautifully. Care directions call for cold water/ tumble dry, although I have also washed them in warm water without problems. One note -- I had expected the stripes on the pillowcases to run the length of the pillows (perpendicular to the stripes on the sheets), but instead they run in the same direction as the stripes on the sheets. Not a big issue to me, but may be of interest to someone out there.
The 600 thread count pima cotton is very soft compared to Egyptian cotton. Perfect weight for year-around comfort. I ordered a second set!.

Nice rich color (aubergine) but the sheets are very rough. They feel like cheap 200 thread count sheets for a college dorm not the nice 650 TC I thought I was purchasing. Even after washing them they are still rough on the skin. Although I LOVE the deep purple color, the sheets are not comfortable,
I came out in a rash after washing these sheets and sleeping on them for two night. I changed the sheets for my old ones and the rash went away. I'm allergic to cats, some dogs, wool etc. These sheets were very rough - almost like thin canvas. I'm sure they'd last a long time, but not on my bed. I sent them back and Overstock refunded the cost. Thanks. Ron.

I have no idea what the other 396 reviews got but the sheets we got are not that soft. We washed them out of the package and we were excited to put them on our bed. When we got in they did not feel soft at all. Even less soft than our 400 thread count sheets. We are very disappointed. We will not buy sheets online again.

In the last few weeks I have purchased several sheet sets from Overstock. These sheets were not any where near the quality of the others although they claim to be of the same 600 thread count. They were a nice color and fit well but very very scratchy. I washed them twice hoping that would soften them. It did not work. They made me so uncomfortable I had to change sheets in the middle of the night. I am sending them back.
I ordered these sheets and I have to say that I was not impressed with the quality. They would not stay on the bed and I had to constantly put the fitted sheet back on the bed. I was suprised about this because overstock usually has good products. Be careful when you order sheets. They will only give you partial credit when they are washed. If I am like everyone else, I will not put new sheets on my bed without washing them first. You really will not know how the sheets are going to fair until they are washed. Overstock gave me full credit but only after I had to push this point to them.
These needed 2 washings before they actually felt soft and comfortable...the color is vibrant and very pretty....fits my cal king perfectly...but if you love your sheets soft....just know it will take a couple of washings before these get there....
