  • BEWARE

    The cover on this product is fine. However, several of the channels don't have any fill in them and the remainder are filled very unevenly. It also does not seem to be any where near the weight as advertised. The compartments around the perimeter are the only ones filled appropriately. I will have to purchase another one later and hope that I get better consistency in filling than this one.

  • 3 month evaluation

    I chose to wait and use this comforter for 3 months BEFORE I wrote a review, as first impressions of a product don"t always mean quality over time. This comforter is EXTREMELY warm for the amount of weight it has itself. I have kept a cover on it since I bought it as I tend to be a tad perfectionistic about keeping the white cover WHITE! But the comforter itself has an extremely soft&supple material-If I didn't have to worry about washing it, the material is super cozy, alas I opt for a cover! Now the only con is the initial 'down shedding'....if you have EVER owned a feather comforter before, you know that it's inevitable that in the 'infant' years of your comforter, the smallest down feathers are going to make thier way out of the comforter-no matter how high count the cover-these tiny blasted things get everywhere; I am just over 3 months and it's finally slowing down. The total amount shed was probably only a toddler sized hand full of 1-4mm sized down;noticeable only because I have dark plum colored cover&linens-never would have guessed it was even shedding had I not seen them! I have yet to even feel a real feather-the ones that most other comforters have that randomly poke you and you try to grab em&they suck back in---not with this one! Best Buy! The last down/feather comforter I bought I paid three times the price for&had way more problems with by the time 3 months rolled around!

    I was so excited to receve this. Most of the reviews were great and I was expecting a wonderful down comforter to keep me warm this winter. Boy, was I ever wrong. The fabric actually feels ok, but it would be nice to have some down in a down comforter. 700 fill yeah right. There is some in this spot and that corner, but it is so unevenly distributed ( even fluff after fluff ) that I am just giving up and returning it. What's so bad is that I bought three of these awful things ( two for family gifts ). I won't even give them to anyone because I would be embarassed to do so. The list price is ridiculous. There is no way this thing ever cost that much anywhere. It shouldn't cost more than $20 and I still wouldn't buy again. Needless to say, very upset about this item.

    I was very disappointed in this item. It's more like a down blanket. I would never call it a comforter. It's not much more than 1/2 " thick. Not at all what I was expecting as a "comforter".

  • not worth it

    I would not buy this at all. It is not what is described. i went through 2 comforters hoping that it was a fluke. However, Some of the squares haven't feathers so the comforter is lopsided not to mention that it is not warm. I would be better off putting a sheet on my bed.

  • Really soft but flat, not evenly fluffy

    I love the cotton, but wish there was more down in the middle sections; almost all the feathers are on the sides. I enjoyed it the first week and now a month later it's super flat especially the big middle chunks. Too bad because I really wanted to like it but am extremely disappointed. I will be buying a different down comforter.

  • lost fill

    I loved this comforter when I first got it. BUT one side of it went completly flat. when you hold it up to the light you can see that the down just was never there. There was just enough in it to make it fluffy for a month. Now I'm searching again!

  • An okay purchase

    I have had this comforter for almost 3 years now. It has held up. True, it does leak feathers sometimes. Also true that the feathers don't stay evenly distributed throughout. Also true that it is a bit on the thin side. But once you fluff it, everything is okay. I do wish it came with ties for the duvet, I had to macgyver a way to keep the corners from slipping. I live in San Diego, it rarely gets very cold here. It keeps me warm in all the months, I use it in the summer too. Overall, I like the comforter and would recommend it over buying the super expensive one. I am unsure what some of the reviewers on this site were expecting based on the price.

  • Too bad I ordered the wrong size

    I purchased this all my fault for getting the wrong size. We did put it in a duvet cover and try it out for a night. Loved the weight of it and the warmth it provided. Returned the queen for a King and can't wait to get it in. Overstock was absolutely great at helping fix my error. Sending back the queen today in fact..

I purchased three of these comforters last year. Nice, if you can handle the loose feathers that cover everything! The all leak feathers so badly they now are folded up and unusable until I find some sort of cover/liner for each one. Even with a quality dovet cover the feathers are too much! I guess I should have been a bit more clear w/my question, I was hoping to get the definition for "fill power". The specs for this comforter indicate that the fill power is 600. I have no idea what this means? jsweet1 on Jan 9, 2013

Fill power is a measure of the loft or "fluffiness" of a down product that is loosely related to the insulating value of the down. The higher the fill power the more insulating air pockets the down has and the better insulating ability. Fill power ranges from about 175 cm³/g (300 in³/oz) for feathers to around 900 cm³/g for the highest quality down. Hello, I just received the comforter. I'm unpleasantly surprized that it is NOT filled with white down, and cearly, they're some sections (squares) that have almost no filling !? Not to mention, it came in an opened non-factory plastic bag with no indications as the specifications of the product (fill power, cotton, etc). Would you care to comment ? dany0022 on Dec 21, 2012
