I have bought many down pillows over the years and these were the worst. You lay your head down on it and hit the bed...lowest fill power I have ever seen. I can't believe that people actually have good things to say about these. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE.
Great pillow. Yep, has a few feathers in it as other reviewers have said. Incredibly small percentage, tho. Really nice down. Comes flat as a pancake - 5 mins in the drier on air fluff and its puffy, or just shake 'em out a bit before putting on the pillow case. These are as nice as the ones I've paid $XXX for before.
I read all the great reviews and was very disappointed with my pillows when they arrived. They were to be a replacement for my current old (5 years) goose down pillows. My new pillows arrived and looked and felt worse than the ones I was replacing! Very thin and not fluffy at all! Return initiated and I will continue my search.
I was dubious about purchasing pillows as pricey as these, but they're definitely worth the money! I like a pillow that I can bunch up and these fit that bill. They don't have hard goose feathers that stick up/out/through the fabric, either. I hate that! These are soft, luxurious and just right. If you want a firm pillow, these wouldn't be for you. Very well made~I'm impressed!
This is a very flat pillow, and I mean flat. You mine as well as sleep without a pillow. I cannot believe the price for this product considering the name; Naples Grand Down--- not even close to the marketing name or the quality of a down pillow—I don’t’ understand the great reviews here—obviously people don’t know what a good quality down pillow really feels like—you get what you pay for, but there are better down pillows elsewhere for this price. My advice is skip this pillow, just go to a quality store so you can feel and try, and not waste your time returning pillows
I've spent thousands on pillows. Thousands on bedding. I'm a firm believer that you spend a good portion of your life in bed, you might as well make the experience as comfortable as possible. I usually spend *****pillow so this was slightly less in terms of price but clearly much lower in quality.
I read a lot of the reviews before I purchased this pillow. I think people are way to critical. This is a great pillow for the price. It's excellent quality and good fill power. Everyone has different tastes in firmness and thread count but for the price this is a great buy. I have no issues with mine, my wife didn't buy one at the time because she wanted me to test it out first. She slept on it for the first time the other night and said it was like laying her head in a cloud. I bought her one today.
These pillows i bout two for my new silk duvet. My eyes are very sensitive so i must have the very best when it comes to down filled pillows. These pillows are very very soft to the face and feel so good around the head. But they do hold up for the night. If you have a fancy hair do and want to sleep with these pills here is the trick. These pillows will support you and not miss up my curly hair from the beautician, for the next day.
I recently bought the Hotel Grand 500 count soft pillow which was no support what so ever, returned it for this 700 count medium pillow thinking that it would give me better support. I was wrong. I am a belly and a back sleeper and this pillow is the same as the soft pillow. If you fold the pillow in half it does not unfold because there is not enough fill in it. After about two minutes it's like sleeping on a pancake. I am returning this pillow and I will not buy another Hotel Grand pillow again. My old down pillow is ten years old and gives me better support than this one.
I ordered two of these deluxe down pillows. They were purrr-fect for us! They were not too hard (i.e., overstuffed) and not too soft, just great fluffy pillows that support my post 3-level cervical fusion neck very gently. We are learning to share them because both of us love them and find the quality of the down and most importantly, the exterior cotton cover to be excellent. Believe these will last a lifetime.
I ordered one of these pillows to try as I was converting from a latex pillow. What I found was that the cover was very nice and it is a well made pillow. The tag that reads 75% down should not be taken too seriously as this is a standard tag that is on a lot of pillows showing they have enough down to legally be called "down pillows". The part I do take under consideration is where the feathers come from and if they are truly goose down or duck down. Siberian down is largely an industry name and not a geographical location that the geese are from. There are only a few companies that actually manufacture in Siberia and they are not in this price range. The pillow does not tell us where they are from but I can tell that they are not high quality European goose down. I ended up shelling a lot more money for some very high quality pillows and found that the difference is pretty obvious. The Naples pillow is much heavier even though it is listed as the same fill power and ounces. (High quality down will be very light). The softness factor is also different when sleeping. This pillow flattens out and feel a bit hard at the bottom when in use. This is also the difference in where the down is from and how it was processed. This being said, some people might actually prefer this feeling to the cottony feeling of other pillows. I find that these make beautiful stuffers for my shams so I ordered one more and some of the Hotel Grand 1000 thread count ones also for sham stuffers. They are not bad pillows at all but if you are looking for a very high end fluffy down pillow, this may not work for you.
