Great value
 from Seattle,  Dec 2, 2012

For anyone looking for a good quality down alternative, I think this comforter is a good choice. The fabric is quite (not loud and crunchy). It's medium weight - so it works most of the year. I have a nice coverlet that I add during the cold winter months, when needed. I think it's a very good value for the price.

What a find!
 from michigan,  Nov 20, 2012

Absolutely love this comforter. It is a high quality that you would find in any five star hotel. It is light weight enough to not bother your legs, but good for all weather use. best buy for your money.

Very nice quality especially for the money
 from Florida,  Nov 19, 2012

Since I have a household of 4 cats, I always look for a nice quality for a fair price in the event the item has to be replaced more frequently. I especially love the loftyness of the comforter, and the exterior fabric is very soft to the touch. I actually do not use a duvet cover with mine, and looks nice by itself.

Fabulous
from Madison, WI,  Oct 11, 2012

This comforter is warm enough for heat saving Wisconsin Winters, but not too heavy. My son likes it better than our wool comforter because "it doesn't take as long to heat up."

This is the best as far as comfort and Warmth...Bought also the luxury Hotel Grand , and the thing is really great but to me it's way too warm... The Naple 700 is the best year round for me...

Ummmm what happen to the 700 TC?
from Elk Grove, CA,  Apr 7, 2012

I was expecting to receive a nice fluffy 700 thread count down alternative comforter.... I was excited when it arrived and quickly pulled it out of the box. It looked thin and thought if I laid it out on my bed it would fluff up or i'll wait for it to get fluffy and full. That wasn't the case. It's very light and cheap looking so i'm returning it.

Comforter
from Central Wisconsin,  Mar 16, 2012

Love love love this comforter. Have had it for almost 2 yrears, and it still just like new. We live in the midwest and have had a very cold and a very mild winter and the comforter has been perfect for each. It's so large that we have to take it to the laundrymat for laundering, but well worth the extra $$. Very adaptable for cold as well as mild winters. Woud definetly repurchase this item.

Excellent purchase
from Glendale, CA,  Dec 2, 2010

We have dogs - and yes they sleep with us from time to time - so I decided we needed a comforter that was soft, warm and could be washed - dry cleaning adds up after a while. This is the perfect comforter - keeps us warm, it is soft and ready to be washed when needed - so I do not miss our down comforters.

So Warm
 from Texas,  Dec 5, 2009

This is a beautiful, soft, and lightweight comforter! I thought it might be too light, but it is so soft and WARM!. My rotten cats love this comforter! The fabric is white, white and it fluffs after being removed from the packaging. Really happy I bought this comforter.

Naples 700 Thread Count Alternative Down Comforter
from Glendale, Arizona,  May 2, 2008

I love this comforter! The size is perfect for my pillow-top king mattress! I have been looking for one that fits my bed forever!!! I live in Arizona, and I have been using it since March. What I truly enjoy is the fact that I don't sweat to death during the night like I did with my down comforter. It looked great on my bed without my duvet cover because it's so soft and the loft is great being alternative down. However, when I put it in the duvet, the appearance was a bit lumpy. That being said, it wouldn't sway my purchase because all you have to do is shake it out and pat it down in some places. This is an awesome item for the price and I highly recommend it. Thanks Overstock, you are always a pleasure to shop with!

in the lap of luxury
from Coopersburg, PA,  Mar 11, 2007

I was extremely happy with the quality and value of this comforter. It is incredibly warm, fluffy, and well made. Even my "mountain man" boyfriend, who would be happy sleeping with a packing blanket over him and has commented that it doesn't matter what kind of blanket we have on the bed, admitted how comfortable this comforter is and how much he likes it (he isn't going to live this comment down anytime soon!).

Not filled out
from NY, NY,  Feb 7, 2007

I purchased this comforter about a month ago. When I pulled it out of the box half of the squares were puffed up and the other half were completely flat. I then came back to this website to read some of the reviews and one person said that after a few days all the squares came to life. Unfortunately that was not the case with my comforter. Half of the squares are still flat and don't offer that much warmth. The other half that is puffed up seems to get really hot. I would not recommend this product.

Very comfy!
from Indianapolis IN,  Jan 2, 2007

After fifteen years of using down, I was reluctant to try a down alternative comforter. After a week of using this comforter, I love it! It feels just like down - same light weight, same warmth - but I don't wake up in the morning feeling like I've been breathing feathers all night. I guess I had a slight allergy to down and didn't realize it. This comforter needs several days to expand fully. I was a little disappointed when we first opened it, because the fill seemed sparse and spotty. By the first night, it had expanded some, and was warm but it looked flat and limp. Not to worry - the fill kept expanding daily, until after three nights, every cell was thick and fluffy and blocky-looking. It's beautiful now. The fabric is very smooth, so it slides into a duvet easily. This comforter is warmer than our winter-weight down comforter. I've turned down the thermostat another couple of degrees at night to compensate.

Better than down!!!!!!
from Southern CT,  Dec 5, 2006

I received mine yesterday while at work. Went to the laundromat to use the big 35 pound washing machine. Washed in warm water with downy softener. Dried at medium for 40 minutes pulling it out after 20 mins to move it around to dry quicker. First nights sleep with it was great. I love this comforter and would recommend no cover over it. The high thread count makes for extra comfort. I also love the fact that i dont wake up too hot under it. That can happen with down.

quality, and wow is it warm
from Monterey, California,  Nov 30, 2014

I'm a thorough researcher when I go to buy an online item. I ended up purchasing this Hotel Grand Naples 700 Thread Count Medium Warmth Down Alternative Comforter from Overstock and am pleased with the item. The stiching seems to be solid. Materials appear to be of quality. It is fluffier than our current down alternative comforter and, with the fluff comes the heat. A bit too hot for me, but for those in colder climates or who keep their house temps on the cool side, this should be a nice addition. The only critique I have of this item is that it does make some crackling sounds when moving it around in the night. Not loud, not disturbing, but noticable. I think the sound comes from the very tight weave of the cotton cover. The good news is that the tight weave also means the filling will never escape and probably very little will get in either. If you're looking for warm and fluffy with good construction, this is a good one.

REALLY WARM
from Philadelphia, Pa,  May 2, 2014

I like the weight, size and thickness of this down alternative comforter. It's a little on the puffy side - which I like. What I don't like is the scratchy outside fabric & that this comforter is listed as medium warmth but it is extremely warm - which I guess is great if you live in a year round cold climate, but I do not and that is why I wouldn't recommend this product to a friend.

not fluffy
from Jacksonville FL,  Apr 26, 2014

Long story short I thought I was getting something a little better quality as far as fluff. I hope this makes sense, its sewn very well but its flat. It doesn't feel very luxurious. The pockets arent fluffing out like I wanted, although I do enjoy it. I live in Florida but with the air conditioning on at night its perfect. Really everything is great about it except the thickness/fluff. If your looking for something flatter this is for you. I tried fluffing it out but I thing it just needs more material to put in the little pockets.
