In addition, products sealed in plastic packaging sometimes have a disagreeable scent because of concentrated natural fibers. A few hours of airing typically removes the odor.

COMPLETE COMFORT
THIS IS A GREAT PILLOW IF YOU SLEEP IN MORE THAN ONE POSITION. VERY HIGH QUALITY. WHEN I TOOK IT OUT OF THE BOX IT DID NOT HAVE A VERY STRONG NEW GOOSE DOWN SMELL. IT AIRED OUT IN HOURS AND WAS READY FOR THE BED THAT NIGHT. THE FILL IS EXCELLENT, I NOW ONLY NEED ONE PILLOW INSTEAD OF TWO. IT FLUFFS UP WITH MINIMAL EFFORT, AND I HAVE NEVER HAD A FEATHER POKE THROUGH. I TOOK THIS PILLOW WITH ME TO THE HOSPITAL WHEN I GAVE BIRTH TO MY DAUGHTER. IT DEFINITELY ADDED TO MY COMFORT LEVEL WHILE I HAD TO STAY THERE. I PLAN TO PURCHASE ONE FOR MY HUSBAND. THE ONLY THING I WISH WERE DIFFERENT IS IF THE COVER WAS DETACHABLE FOR EASY MACHINE WASH.

Highly Recommended
I am very particular about what I use for a pillow and have long ago switched to using only down. That said, there are different levels of quality between down pillows. I require a pillow that has enough loft to keep it's shape and not flatten. I require a pillow that is not overstuffed which causes my head and neck to be in a strained position. This pillow has proven to be exactly what I want providing sufficient support without overstuffing, so this is the second time I have purchased this item. Now, with two comfortable pillows I have one to take with me to motels when I travel and one at home. With one at home and one for travel there is no risk of being without a top quality pillow if I happen to accidentally leave the travel pillow behind. Since previous reviews mention an odd odor, I anticipated my sensitive nose to notice an odd smell. I didn't find this the case and immediately used my new pillow with complete comfort. I highly recommend this item for anyone who is particular about their bedding.

impoverished pillow
This was your most luxurious and expensive pillow. It is meagerly filled and doesn't plump or fluff as it seems it should. It lies mostly flat and doesn't provide the expectd comfort.

Goose down pillow
This is a beautiful, very well made pillow. It arrived promptly and had no smell whatsoever, even though it had been encased in plastic for shipping. This is not, however, a good pillow for a stomach sleeper, as it doesn't get flat enough when you lie on it. If you are a side sleeper, then this is the pillow for you.

Goose Down Pillows
As a fan of down pillows for over 20 years, I was really looking forward to receiving these pillows. Comfort-wise, they were great, but the smell coming from the pillows was atrocious. Also one pillow was stuffed really thick and the other one had hardly any down at all. The smell actually permeated the whole bedroom. It smelled like wet dog. I kept thinking it would get better, but it didn't. I tried washing the pillows, bleaching the pillows, and as of three weeks ago, I threw the pillows away. I know I should have returned them, but I finally could take the smell no more and rather than fool with trying to return them after attempting to use them for over a month, I just threw them away. Don't know how these pillows are rated so high after my experience with them.

These are not down pillows
I have 4 other down pillows and these aren't anything like them. These pillows are stuffed with polyester or cotton, not down. They're stiff and lumpy. They squeak when you squeeze them like rubbing a balloon. They don't even smell like down pillows. If you're looking for a goose down pillow, don't buy these!

lumpy and hard
This pillow did not meet my expectations whatsoever. It is lumpy and hard, not fluffy at all. I am very disappointed. For the price, it was far below expectations.

Not happy for one moment!
Do not waste your time or money on purchasing this pillow. I selected this pillow thinking it was one of the best Overstock.com offered and I was throughly disappointed. The picture is nothing like what you will receive. The size and quality is something you would find at a cheap hotel. It is understuffed, does not contain 100% down, and you will be disappointed when you receive it. To add insult to injury, I stated the exact same issues when I returned the product and asked for a refund of my return shipping charges. Did that happen from Overstock.com? No!

I never write reviews but this is terrible
For a king size bed you want awesome pillows so I decided to splurge and spend a decent amount. Worst purchase. I can feel my hand under the pillow when my head is on it. No support at all. Might as well put my head on the bed. Waste of money.
