I LOVE these sheets----------------from the silver-blue, soft color to the shiny look and feel. They are very well-made, comfortable to sleep on, and pretty to look at. My only reason for giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is that like almost all queen-sized sheet sets, they come with standard-sized pillow cases which barely fit my queen-sized pillows that match my queen-sized bed. I don't understand why all other sheet sets have the correct-sized pillow cases, but queen-sized sheet sets are almost always mismatched with standard-sized pillow cases. Anyone paying extra for a queen-sized bed is almost certainly going to buy queen-sized pillows to match. We pay extra for queen-sized sheet sets only to find they've been mismatched with standard-sized pillow cases that do not fit properly. The ends of the pillow protrude from the too-small pillow cases, which we have had to fight the pillows into. These days, pillows are being made fluffier and fuller and over-sized, so supplying standard-sized pillow cases to queen-sized sheet sets is something that needs to stop. We consumers should let it be known we need and demand the correct size (QUEEN-size) pillow cases with our queen-sized sheet sets. We're paying an awful lot of money for sheet-sets that don't match, and it's only queen-sized sheet sets that are packaged incorrectly. We pay extra for larger-sized sheet sets and should not be short-changed. It's an easy-fix. How about it, Manufactures?Read More

These are some of the best sheets I have ever slept onRead More
I expected softer sheets given the thread count, but the price was right.Read More
The main description really made me think these were 100% cotton sheets. In actuality, they are as follows: Materials: 55-percent cotton/ 45-percent polyester! Also, which was not in the description, but was listed on the insert in the sheet package- these sheets are 'Wrinkle Free" which I ALWAYS avoid buying because they use a toxic chemical on the sheets to make them wrinkle free! If I would have known these were wrinkle free, chemical treated sheets & that they are not even 100% cotton I would have skipped this purchase. Next time I buy high thread count sheets I will thoroughly read the description, because then I would have noticed they aren't pure cotton. BUT I still wouldnt have known they are chemically treated to resist wrinkles, I don't see that listed anywhere on the description here, which is disturbing. All that aside, they look very pretty, I got the burgundy color and they are a deep merlot sateen sheen to them.Read More
I purchased a queen sized set in burgundy. After the third washing both pillowcases were frayed and ripped beyond repair. The sheets don't seem to have the same problem but now I need to purchase an additional set of matching pillowcases. Not much of a bargain and very disappointing.Read More
These sheets are beautiful to look at and lovely to sleep on, but I didn't read the listing thoroughly enough. The title "Royal Luxe Egyptian Cotton . . . Sateen Sheet Set" led me to believe they were 100% cotton, but further reading would have told me they are cotton/polyester. I suppose I shouldn't complain - the polyester gives them a beautiful sheen and a no-wrinkle wash!Read More
These sheets are exactly what I wanted. They are soft, thick and relaxing. They fit perfectly on my mattress. I have bought 3 sets of sheets now and each time I am never let down.Read More
These sheets are labeled Sateen on Overstock and are not on the package. I was very disappointed in them immediately. Overstock did offer to take them back and sent a return label but my daughter did not know and put them in the wash before I could tell her. After one night on them she asked me why her sheets were not soft and I told her. So she could tell the difference without me telling her and she is only 14 years old. So I had to keep them and will use them if no other sheets are clean.Read More

FAQs about Sateen Sheets
Sateen sheets are high-quality sheets woven in the same way as traditional satin. Unlike satin, sateen sheets are made with more common fibers, such as cotton. Sateen sheets are soft to the touch and allow skin to slide smoothly into bed. Sateen sheets are available in very high thread counts, and as such, are quite durable. Take a look below for some of the most frequently asked questions about sateen sheets.
Bed Sheet Thread Count Fact Sheet
The thread count of bed sheets refers to the number of threads per square inch of fabric. For example, if a square inch of fabric in a 300-thread count sheet with a standard weave were examined closely, 150 vertical threads and 150 horizontal threads would be counted, for a sum total of 300. The higher the thread count, the softer and smoother the sheets will be. Thread count is an important consideration to take when choosing a new set of sheets, but it should not be used as a sole indicator of quality. Equally important in choosing a bed sheet is the type and quality of the materials used as well as the fabric's weave.
Egyptian Cotton Sheets vs Sateen Sheets
Deciding which type of luxury sheets to purchase is easier when you have the facts. Sateen sheets feel soft when new and have sheen to them, while Egyptian cotton sheets soften over time with use. Both are made from cotton and have much to offer, making the choice one of budget and personal taste.
