Better quality than expected
I don't know where all the other reviews are coming from. Mine was just exactly as described, except the pillow shams do not have fringe (thank goodness); the set is a perfect color and very well made. I am very happy with the overall quality and price.

- Please tell us about the quality of the product. High end jaquard outer layer, with a very soft faux silk under layer. Fluffy and perfect dimensions. LOVE IT.

A great look at a great price!
I read the reviews by other costomers and while some were negative, I was not concerned as we have ordered a number of items over the years from Oversock. We have only returned 1 item, and that was a fast and easy process. , As always the descriptions are accurate and rellavent. We are very happy with this purchase.

2nd worst comforter from Overstock--Don't Buy This
First I was so excited to see that Overstock.com had the same exact comforter set I had ordered approximately 2 years ago (which I absolutely LOVE). So I ordered this set. To my surprise the quality of this item had drastically changed. The comforter was very lightweight and the fabric was very thin. Not the quality at all of the original comforter set. So I immediately boxed it back up and returned it only to be charged the return shipping which ticks me off. It's like paying someone $$$ to take something you don't want. That is so ridiculous!!! But knowing the quality of items that Overstock.com carries. I carefully chose another comforter set and thought "This will be the One!!). Well to my surprise the second comforter set was even worse than the first. Now I'm ticked off at this point. Overstock has always carried quality items. What is going on???? Now I am returning the second comforter set. That will be another $$$ for them to take back their crappy quality item. I'm done with Overstock.com and that is really a shame because I have been doing business with them for 10+ years.

Would buy again!
I am very happy with this comforter set. It was exactly as described and looks beautiful in our master bedroom which is a deep purple on the walls with white wainscott on the bottom third of wall. Our sheers are purple with gold drapes. The comforter and pillows complete the look!

Comforter didn't fit
The comforter is made cheaply and is a poor quality material. The bed skirt looks cheap and does not match the comforter. I ordered a king size set and the comforter is too short to fit the bed. I would not recommend this set to anyone.

Off-color and small...
For the price I paid, this wasn't a bad set at all! However, the color was SO much lighter than what the picture shows, it's almost white! I wanted the darker gold look to it, so that was a big disappointment. It's also quite small for a "Queen" bedding set. It's not long enough, and in width it's a bit shorter than I'm comfortable with as it barely reaches past the mattress line. This is in the guest bedroom. It is, however, very comfortable! That was this sets saving grace, for me. I had to sleep in the guest bed one night when family was over, and was very surprised at how soft and warm it was.

Halifax 7 piece Gold Comforter set.
I brought two of these comforters. I have yet to open my box yet because I was moving and then the weather changed so, I have yet to see mine. I brought the other one as a Christmas gift for my son and daughter-in -law. She loves it. I'm sure once I get a chance to use mine I will also.
