AMPLE length and beautiful BRICK colored pattern
I purchased this brick (almost rust) colored king bedspread for a queen (very high) mahogany poster bed. I wanted it to cover the bed pillows without have to use pillow shams and this spread does just that. I could have used the queen size bedspread because this is long on the sides of the bed, but I'm a fan of the ample length and will be keeping this. Be aware this is NOT a Christmas red, a burgundy red, or a Chinese red, it is a brick red, so it has a rust cast to it. It is medium to light weight, quilted with a very pretty pattern, and is SHIMMERY...like silk. It has a formal silky look to it and is a nice accent to my black/white toile curtains, mocha walls with white accessories.

Definitely brick red, or red that leans toward rust, which is just what I wanted. I knew this from reading previous reviews. It does have a slightly satiny finish to it as well - only slight. If this bothers you, you can use back side as front side, and it has no sheen to it. Super soft and comfortable. Ample size - just LOVE this and wish I could buy it in other colors for my other bedrooms

I was delighted with this bedspread & pillows. The stitching is beautifully done. It is a medium weight. It is large enough to almost reach the floor on our king sized bed. The pillows are a nice size. I have purchased two other bedspreads this year and was not happy with the size of either. The color is brick red - not Christmas red.

Great option for deep mattresses!
We were pleasantly surprised with this set. We've had it on for several weeks now, and it still looks great. We have a very deep mattress and a tall box spring, so we were very challenged to find a comforter that would actually cover the mattress. This was a great option for us. Very happy with the purchase!
