do you have to buy pillow cases separately
I have not purchased sheets from any other source than Overstock for the past many years; therefore, I have not purchased sheets very often. I always select the Egyptian sheets with a high thread count for softness and durability. These sheets are no exception. The reason I rated them as a 4 instead of 5 is because the sheets I purchased a few years ago (my other set of sheets) are softer and don't wrinkle quite as bad. But overall, these sheets are well worth the money....

Loved the size and depth of the deep pockets. However, the material is stiff and not as soft as I would have liked and resembles less expensive sheets.Read More
First let me start of by saying that I love great sheets. When I find them I buy a couple of sets and I'm hopefully set for years. The last time I bought 800 TC sheets it was from Overstock about 7 years ago. The last set of those sheets just fell apart last month. I have been very anxiously awaiting my new set but not I'm wishing I hadn't thrown those out! My 7 year old pair was still thicker and better quality than these! I am completely baffled by all the 5-star reviews. I thought sheets made in the US had to label their sheets as 2-ply or 4-ply if they twisted multiple fibers together to get a higher thread count. There weren't labeled as all. They came in clear, plastic wrap and that's it. But there is no way these are singly ply fibers. I would say these sheets are 400tc max. They are thin. But the worst thing about them is the smell! Oh the smell! As soon as I opened the package my whole living room smelled of formaldehyde! These sheets are absolutely wrinkle free and it's because they are coated with chemical to make them such. Cotton wrinkles! It's suppoed to! Please don't coat sheets with toxic chemicals to make them wrinkle-free! These are definitely going back. I'm incredibly disappointed.Read More

I really enjoy high tc sheets; however for me, some 1200 & 1500 can feel too heavy (like a tent). These embroidered 800 tc are not only classy; but also feel great, even after only the first washing. Men, if you are smart; you will put your woman in great quality sheets like these!Read More

Quick Facts about Egyptian Cotton Sheet Sets
For years, the title "King of Cotton" has gone to Egyptian cotton, and Egyptian cotton sheet sets are, consequently, known for being of the finest quality. It used to be that the only places to buy Egyptian cotton sheet sets were high-end boutiques, and Egyptian cotton sheets sets often carried hefty price-tags. While lustrous, durable Egyptian cotton bedding and Egyptian cotton sheet sets are still more expensive than bedding and sheets made from less distinguished cotton, they are far less expensive than they used to be, and if you want luxury and durability, the price may be well worth it. Keep reading to find out a few interesting and useful facts about Egyptian cotton sheet sets and Egyptian cotton bedding that may help make your purchase easier.
Bed Sheet Thread Count Fact Sheet
The thread count of bed sheets refers to the number of threads per square inch of fabric. For example, if a square inch of fabric in a 300-thread count sheet with a standard weave were examined closely, 150 vertical threads and 150 horizontal threads would be counted, for a sum total of 300. The higher the thread count, the softer and smoother the sheets will be. Thread count is an important consideration to take when choosing a new set of sheets, but it should not be used as a sole indicator of quality. Equally important in choosing a bed sheet is the type and quality of the materials used as well as the fabric's weave.
