I had initially been looking for sheets like the kind I had bought on Overstock years ago. (That previous set was a find, high TC and super soft and creamy.) NOTE: these are not like those in that they are not super soft and creamy BUT they are dense and smooth and luxurious in a different way. Even after the first wash and use they were really luxurious feeling (but in a different way from the creamy softness that I once preferred). I love the way they are now but sense they will get even softer over the years (but remain durable - my old creamy sheets eventually just got thin and wore tears into them). These feel like extremely high quality sheets. The stitching is detailed (no loose threads and stray strings.) I washed them in warm as soon as I got them and dried them, and there is very little wrinkling. Unlike my other sheets, I can put them on the bed without ironing (too lazy) without seeing wrinkles. (It comes out of the drier like a wrinkle-free men's shirt - not looking freshly ironed but without significant wrinkling.) I sleep so well on these sheets. I try to buy made in USA whenever possible, so I was ecstatic that these were made in USA and turned out to be excellent quality. Provided you are not expecting the creamy, thin feeling that I described above, I highly recommend these! I'm saving up for another set since I like to stock up when I find something I love rather than trying to find the same thing again years later. Love them!
Caveat: I just got these sheets, and have only had them on my bed for a few days. As I wear them in over the next few months, I will update my review with more details. I have been purchasing most of my sheets from Overstock for some time now. Frankly, the experience has been quite mixed. The last set of sheets I purchased: http://www.overstock.com/Bedding-Bath/Egyptian-Cotton-1500-Thread-Count-Solid-Oversized-Sheet-Set/3355823/product.html had all of the great specs - 1500 TC, Egyptian Cotton etc, and they initially seemed quite nice. They were heavy and smooth... but they started pilling very soon after the first few uses (and this is the first time I have had sheets pill). When I was looking for a new set of sheets, I decided to take a risk on these - and here are my observations so far: 1. Great Packaging - I love that the company uses very little packaging - simple and very low waste. (the company being Veratex by the way - if you search for them on Bing you can find lots of links for them and they have a few youtube vids as well) 2. Heavy - the sheets are thick - just how I like them 3. For 1st out of the package, they are also quite smooth - nice sateen finish to them. 4. Elastic all the way around the bottom sheet - and I like how they are super generous with the depth - will easily fit my 18" or so mattress 5. Nice generous borders/hem - the top sheet and pillow cases have a nice large border on them. 6. They are a USA product - and while this is not something that I require personally, I do love to see companies go for a market here in the US, and, it makes me feel like I could contact someone that actually cares about their product for feedback (if for example, they pill over time...)
These sheets are a dazzling white with beautiful high quality embroidery work. The finished edge of the flat sheet and the pillowcases is generous and thick. The quality is excellent. They are heavy, yet soft and luxurious. My husband and I absolutely love these sheets and will buy more. They are like sheets made for a king and queen. They surpassed our expectations. We are extremely pleased.
These sheets feel very soft and continue to remain pill-free and soft a couple of years later. BUT, they shrink!! They fit my Cal-king pillow top *********** mattress well the first few washes and dryer cycles,, but within 3 months, they became smaller and now, are ridiculously difficult to put on. I can't do it myself! I need an extra person to help me stretch it to the point of ripping it to get these suckers on! For the price that I paid, I am not thrilled . THey do look great but the frustration of having to put on the sheets is too much!
I bought these sheets a while ago and loved them but they did not hold up. Within 6 months of use and multiple washes the bottom sheet developed a hole and multiple thin spots. The top sheet and pillow cases still looks good, but I am disappointed that for what they cost, they should have held up much better. Not worth the money!
I love the fact that these beautiful, quality sheets are made in the USA! I have only had these sheets for about 6 weeks and they are getting softer each time I was them. They are over sized and fit my Ca King pillow top mattress with more than enough room!
Very thick sheets and well made. After several washes, still holds the high quality. One problem however was the fitted sheet does not quite fit as well as I had hoped. The fitted corners should have more fabric to stretch over the corner of the bed, however, the sheets are so well made, one flaw is overlooked. Very expensive, but worth the quality, based on the number of sheets purchased over time, would have saved money in the long run.
