I know it says it fits up to 18'', but when you look at the construction of the fitted sheet, is the depth truly 18''? Thank you. I bought a set that said 18'', but the construction was really 14'' in depth, and I had to return it.

I should have read the description better. I just paid $*for ONE sheet. I thought I was getting a whole set.Read More
I searched for 5 hours looking for a fitted sheet that was Egyptian cotton and NOT a Sateen blend. I paid 72.99 for this King size "100% Egyptian Cotton" fitted sheet. It finally arrived and to my utter dismay, this sheet is THIN as could be, SCRATCHY, has long, UNRAVELING threads in every corner. I then read the tag and see that it is indeed COTTON-SATEEN!!! I was SO angry because NOWHERE is this stated in the item description! Now, I will say that the customer service was excellent in that she sent me a pre-paid return label and wrote a report so the item description will hopefully be changed.Read More
I ordered this for a Christmas gift thinking it was a sheet SET. Be aware that it is only each sheet. Upon opening and assisting my mother with it, the sheet seems cheap. Not at all what I've purchased before in a 500 count sheet. I was very disappointed in the quality as well as the fact it wasn't a SET.Read More
One of the pillowcases ripped after the first wash, and the corners of the fitted sheet ripped within two weeks. Fabric is just too thin and weak for bedding, although it is soft and comfortable.Read More
Although it feels great and fits well, this fitted sheet is, hands down, the worst sheet I've ever owned.....After only 3 or 4 washings, we noticed small tears/rips (especially at corners) --- and now, after only a few months, we have a sheet that is coming apart! I have other sheets in my linen closet that we've had for years --- with no problems......The issue is with this sheet. I would not recommend purchasing!Read More
The quality of these sheets are excellent and I couldn't be more pleased with them. What impressed me the most, however, is the letter that comes packaged with it from the manufacturer, proudly stating that they are made in the USA and that by purchasing, over 120 families are being supported. Go Veratex, keep up the good work. We should all strive to purchase more products made in the USA.Read More
The quality of this sheet is lovely but I ordered it mistakenly thinking I was getting a full set. Wanted to warn others to PAY ATTENTION because this item is fitted sheet only.Read More
With high expectations, I was very impressed with the fabric of this fitted sheet and with the fine sewing work of the elastic trim. We were also very impressed with the packaging and the "Made in USA" message enclosed. But to my dismay I was BARELY able to get this sheet to fit on our standard queen sized mattress. Our mattress is NOT a deep pocket mattress! I did wash and dry the sheet first (standard sheet temp and cycle and medium dryer). We hoped the sheet would at least stretch out a bit. It has, somewhat, so that the sheet isn't coming loose from the edges of mattress each night. I would say the sheet is NOT as promised.Read More
I love these sheets except I ordered "King" not Cal king or any other size king. They just swallow my king sized bed. Perhaps they were made for a pillow top but there were no distinctions for a regular king or pillow top. so I have to tuck in the fitted sheet every day just as if were a plain flat sheet. Also the top sheet almost comes to the floor on both sides. So were they miss sized or what? . I hate sending things back but I should have sent these back. They are very good quality and I love their feel but they just don't fit.Read More
Sturdy, comfy, soft sheets that fit and perform as advertised. Colors very close to on-line samples. I'm impressed with the quality of both the fabric and the stitching. The general construction of the sheets (elastic and corners on fitted, fold-over at top of flat) is very fine. I would highly recommend these and plan on replacing with same when these sets have finally given their all!Read More

They fit my deep mattress very well.
I order this product and only got a fitted sheet. Per the question below, should I have gotten a flat sheet also?
Hello dderose, you must have just ordered the fitted sheet. This is not a set. In the drop down tab you would choose flat sheet. Have a great day!
Sorry it is only one sheet, not a set. I made the same mistake, but I love the sheets. I just went back and ordered the one I was missing.

Bed Sheet Thread Count Fact Sheet
The thread count of bed sheets refers to the number of threads per square inch of fabric. For example, if a square inch of fabric in a 300-thread count sheet with a standard weave were examined closely, 150 vertical threads and 150 horizontal threads would be counted, for a sum total of 300. The higher the thread count, the softer and smoother the sheets will be. Thread count is an important consideration to take when choosing a new set of sheets, but it should not be used as a sole indicator of quality. Equally important in choosing a bed sheet is the type and quality of the materials used as well as the fabric's weave.

Sateen sheets are soft to the touch and allow skin to slide smoothly into bed. Sateen sheets are available in very high thread counts, and as such, are quite durable. Take a look below for some of the most frequently asked questions about sateen sheets.

Popular Types of Quilts
Out of all the bedding made, quilts may be the most diverse. Quilts are produced in all kinds of colors, patterns, sizes, styles and types. If you're looking for a quilt but don't know where to start, take a look at the popular types of quilts below to learn more about this beautiful kind of bedding. Amish quilts: These beautiful quilts reflect the Amish way of living and feature solid colors, deep hues, geometric patterns and very little embellishment. Amish quilts contain the highest quality of construction and stitching, and, sometimes, the wonderful stitch patterns (scrolls, feathers) contrast with the simple backgrounds of their quilts. Applique quilts: These quilts use a French needlework technique where fabric pieces are sewn onto another piece of material to create a design. Applique is used extensively in the quilting process and is not to be confused with patchwork. Patchwork pieces are joined together; applique is sewn on top of the whole piece. Baltimore album quilts: Baltimore album quilts came from Maryland in the early 1800s. Each block in the design of these quilts is appliqued differently, often in ornate floral patterns. Bangladeshi quilts: These quilts are made with layers of Saree cloth. Saree cloth is silk cloth used by women of India to wrap and fold around the body as a garment. The cloth is usually 40 to 60 inches wide by 6 yards long. These quilts are used as bedding or as decorative pieces. Bargello quilts: Bargello quilts are created with offset squares in an up-and-down geometric "V" pattern. The small squares of different fabrics and the colorful designs make these quilts true works of art. Hawaiian quilts: Hawaiian quilts are not pieced, and they usually showcase a large, symmetrical applique in the center of the quilt. Most often the background is white or another solid color. Patchwork quilts: Patchwork quilts are constructed of many small pieces of fabric which are put together in an improvised or irregular pattern. This is a well-known quilt style, and examples of historical patchwork quilts are found in many museums. Ralli quilts: Ralli quilts, sometimes known as rilli quilts, are traditional quilts made in India or Pakistan. There is an abundance of embroidery as well as applique on the patchwork patterns. Star quilts: Star quilts are created with a large star shape, or several star shapes, dominating the pattern. Wedding ring quilts: Wedding ring quilts are crafted in a design of interlocking rings. This pattern goes far back in history: in the fourth century it was used to decorate drinking cups in Rome. Wedding ring quilts are highly popular and make wonderful wedding gifts. If you're looking for a gift to please an engaged couple, you can't go wrong with a wedding quilt. Bedding always makes a significant gift for the bride and groom, and a quilt with coordinating Egyptian cotton sheets can be even better. View All Quilts Back to Guides Directory View All Quilts
