Finch Cove Quilt Set

After considering many bed coverings, I decided on the Finch Cove Quilt Set based on the reviews. It was the perfect choice for my room. The muted neutral pastel colors will go with many different paint colors. There is a narrow border around the shams and quilt that I would classify as periwinkle - some may say lavender. I had previously purchased a great set of periwinkle sheets that happens to match the border perfectly. The weight of the quilt is light enough to use for summer as well as winter (with a blanket underneath). I'm very happy with the quality of the construction and materials used. This purchase exceeded my expectations and the price made it a great bargain too considering the quality and workmanship. I haven't washed it yet but feel confident it will launder well.

I was quite disappointed with this quilt. It is a kingsize, and hangs well over my queen sized bed. The shams fit regular pillows which is nice too. But it is the quality of the cotton that was used and the dye/pigmentation of the fabrics that really dissappoint me. You can see the thread lines in the squares, so it reminds me of cheap fabric, not 100% cotton. The dyes are washed out (I wanted a pastel quilt but these are blah) and have a muted tone: so the greens on the edge look grey, the green squares have a yellow brassy look and the pinks have a redder shade. From a distance, I guess it passes, but it just looks cheap and nasty. I couldn't return mine as I missed my 30 days return timeline, otherwise I would have sent it back. I read a lot of reviews and plenty of people liked it, but it just was a poor standard of quality for me. If the dyes were crisper and the fabric used a better quality, it would have been a very nice quilt.

• Please tell us about the quality of the product. The fabric quality is quite poor: the cotton thread count is low and it looks like a cheap quilt from china. The dyes are not clear: the pinks are obnoxious and the green edging has too much grey in it.
• How accurate was the on site description of the product? The size of the quilt is correct, the color squares are pastel but it does not look like 100% cotton was used. You can see the lines in the threads and they look like cheap fabric. It makes it visually poor.

I was hesitant to spend this much money on a quilt I wanted to put over a light weight down comforter, but after searching online, this was a great deal for the size and colors I was looking for. I have a blue bedroom, but have some expensive comphy sheets from another vendor that were described as blue but were really green when they arrived, bad combination. This quilt ties all the colors together softly, and it works well by itself as a blanket on warm nights. I'm very happy with my purchase. The only negative is I don't love the shams. I got the king quilt for my queen bed, which is perfect and the same price as other sizes, but the shams are huge and do nothing for my room. Overall, I love this and am glad I got it!

Really like the quilt, very pretty and light-weight, which is what I was looking for. I ordered the king size to fit a queen and it fits perfectly, hangs where I wanted it, since I don't use a dust ruffle (hate them). Would definitely order it again. Wish there was a larger size (especially width) for a king bed.
