surprise - it WORKS
from upstate NY,  Aug 16, 2008

I was skeptical, but this blanket actually does what it promises. It gets me through the night at a steady, comfortable temperature--no more overheating, sweating, kicking off the covers, and waking up cold. It feels soft and light, like an ordinary cotton blanket, but there's nothing ordinary about the way it works. I'm using it instead of a top sheet--I think it's even more effective if it's closer to the body. The sage green is mint-ish, not gray-green. Size is very generous.

Fairbault NASA Cotton Blanket
from atlanta, ga,  Jul 9, 2008

The blanket actually does what it's advertised to do.....regulate body temprature while you sleep. I've had issues with waking up soaking wet in the night, removing my blanket and then freezing to death because I was cold - never mind the arguments with the husband who is ALWAYS cold! The blanket keeps us both comfortable. My 3 year old is a lot like me, so I'm ordering one for her bed too. The only drawbacks are that it isn't a very "pretty" or "luxurious" looking blanket. And, it can be kind of stretchy so when making the bed in the morning, I have to take the whole bed apart to get the blanket even across the top.

does what it says it does
 from Tennessee,  Jun 10, 2008

Just got the blanket yesterday, slept under it last night, and ordered another one today for my mother. It's very soft, lightweight, and pretty. I was skeptical that it would be warm enough, but it was great. Any blanket that keeps me cool enough and my husband warm enough..is a miracle blanket. It's very thin, but it's perfect for summer nights and I didn't find myself fanning the covers like I usually do. I'm very pleased so far.

Ordinary Cotton Blanket
from Tucson, AZ,  Apr 19, 2008

We've been using this blanket for about a month now and notice no difference between it and our regular cotton blanket. Here in the southwest, nights currently start in the 60's (and we're warm) and end in the 50's. We find we need to use a light woolen blanket on top of this cotton one because without the woolen one, by morning we're too cool. So much for a temperature regulating, space-age cotton. It is a very nice, light-weight cotton blanket and we really appreciate the extra length. But we find our regular medium weight cotton blanket is more versatile.

Great lightweight blanket!
 from Kentucky,  Apr 10, 2008

This is a wonderfully soft, lightweight blanket that really does add warmth. It helped lessen the bulk on our bed in the winter while providing plenty of warmth with a sheet and a quilt. I really liked the look of the blanket as well. I also used it to wrap up on the couch one night and was toasty warm even though it was a much lighter weight than my fleece throws, but I was careful that my little dog didn't get his claws on it because it is an open weave and I didn't want him to pull the threads. It's stayed on the bed ever since so that there's not much chance he'll accidentally scratch it. Great blanket!

GREAT BLANKET!
from Huntington Beach, CA,  Mar 25, 2008

Have a heavy comforter and needed a light "thermal" type blanket for warm nights. Decided to try this NASA blanket and am not sorry. It is great and keeps my body temperture just right. Other than a little lint upon opening and placing on my bed it gets my approval.

Warm and cozy
from Saint Paul, MN,  Dec 25, 2008

This blanket is nicely woven and very warm. I would highly recommend as an additional blanket under a comforter on those especially cold nights in the north.

I get too hot at night and often wake up but this cover kept the fan from chilling me as I fell asleep but still kept me cool enough to sleep through the night.

cotton blanket
from St. Louis, MO,  Jul 30, 2008

Nice thin summer blanket.  Plenty of drop on king size bed.  I got blue and it is a nice color and seems to be made well.  Have had no problems with it.  My husband still uses another blanket on top but it is all I need.

Amazing quality
from Las Vegas, NV,  Jul 12, 2008

Love this blanket. It breathes, and even in the summer air conditioning, it is very comfortable. If still available, I may get another one in a different color.

Color not as Pictured
from Atlanta, GA,  Jul 7, 2008

I purchased the Sage blanket, however, the color is Mint, which is why I gave the 4 star rating. It is a pretty mint, but not what was pictured and not for me. The blanket is light but warm. It is exactly what I wanted. Too bad about the color. I will have to send back. Unfortunately, the other colors are sold out in the King size or I would exchange.

Faribault NASA Cotton/ Outlast Material Blanket
from Nashville, TN,  Jul 6, 2008

This is a quality blanket. It is very attractive and very light weight.. I really have nothing to add to the other positive reviews. I am sure that room temperature determines whether a second blanket is necessary. I selected it because of the association with NASA and the status of the mill.

Nice lightweight blanket
from North Georgia,  Jun 7, 2008

I bought this for a summer blanket and it is a perfect weight. However, I was disappointed in the "sage" color as I purchased this color to coordinate with the rest of our bedding. It is a "seafoam green" so be aware if you are trying to match with your bedding. Would recommend this blanket except for the color.

This space age blanket really works as described
from St. Louis, MO,  May 25, 2008

I was amazed how you barely notice the blanket over you when the room temperature is normal and you would be comfortable without a blanket. However, as the teperature drops, the blanket continues to keep you comfortable as if nothing has changed in the room. I have previously had problems with blankets being too heavy or too warm which caused me to be uncomfortable unless the temperature was really low. We pln to keep our new blanket and will likely add another couple for our children's rooms.

This well made, light weight blanket is just what I wanted to use under my comforter in the colder weather and by itself on cooler summer nights.

NASA blanket
from North of Boston, MA,  May 23, 2008

I am very pleased with my blanket. Very soft, color was what I expected and the size is generous. I usually like to touch a product before I buy but wasn't finding anything in my local stores. This blanket is a blend and great for cool nights. I think it is a quality product. probably priced about right.
