Down and feather-filled products are packed tightly during shipping. Upon receipt, remove them from their packaging, fluff gently, and allow several hours to recover their full loft. In addition, being sealed in plastic packaging sometimes causes the scent of these natural products to concentrate. A few hours of airing is usually necessary.
We recommend that this pillow is fluffed at least once a week to maintain down distribution.

We call them our "brick" pillows
Pillows are so much "to-taste," it is really very difficult to describe them in an un-biased way. My husband prefers firm pillows, and I prefer down, soft pillows. This pillow attempted to satisfy both, as it is a tightly-packed, foamy down. But, in reality it didn't satisfy either one of us. What I like about down pillows is how light and fluffy they are. When you throw this pillow, it falls quickly, like the "brick" we call it. It is a heavy pillow, and your head sinks into it like it's almost a light-weight memory-foam. If you like that, then this is the pillow for you. For us, it's become our "bricks."

Sooooooo Comfy!
These pillows were super heavy when they arrived and I was concerned - why would feather and down weigh so much? Surely there was a mistake! When I opened the box I was REALLY surprised to find that feather and down do, in fact, weigh a lot. With that said, I have not slept so well in YEARS. The weight of the pillows actually works in their favor - I no longer wake up to my pillows laying on the floor where they've fallen off the bed... they pretty much anchor themselves to the bed. Super comfortable, they form to your head and support your neck regardless of whether you lay on your side of your back. I'm a HUGE fan!!
