I like these sheets, a nice weight (but not super thick) and a good sateen feel to them. I bought the white, which is more like a very light ecru. Won't be noticed if the rest of your bedding isn't white, but I could see the difference next to my white comforter. Not enough to bother me, but if you're super picky you should know about it. These do wrinkle badly in the dryer and probably ought to be ironed, but I'm too lazy to do so.Read More
I always read reviews before I buy. The reviews on this one said that the off white was darker than "off" and one said that they didn't wrinkle. There were a few negative reviews but overall I was convinced that they were the way to go. To say that I am disappointed would be mildly understating. First, they are barely off white when I was expecting something with a little color. Second, they wrinkle like you wouldn't believe. As for the quality and feel of the sheet, it is ok but I expected better for the price.Read More
Great color and texture. Have not done any piling yet and I have washed them a few times. Hopefully they don't, have not had much luck in the past and usually the piling is the issue..Read More
Just as another reviewer mentioned, the sheet set is NOT as soft to the touch as I would have expected for a 600+ thread count. However, considering the price (~$XX), I'm satisfied with the quality I received. The sheets did feel softer prior to washing... perhaps the fact that I used regular washing detergent (Tide) in hot water and drying it on permanent press setting made the fabric rougher. Regardless, if the sheets hold up well to few more washes, I would consider buying another set.Read More
This product is about what I expected CONSIDERING THE PRICE. However, they are rougher than I thought they would be, and the quality of the pillowcases is not that good. In addition to being rough, one seam on each pillowcase was misaligned, and white thread was used in the whipping stitch that prevents raveling. Since the pillowcases are dark chocolate, those stitches stand out like a sore thumb. I am very pleased with the extra deep pockets of the bottom sheet and the ease with which it fits over my mattress and a thick foam pad.Read More
In the past, I've bought 1000-thread-count sheets, which I have no complaints about, except the unnecessary price. I recently saw a consumer review that suggested the optimum thread-count was about 500 , and that denser thread-counts merely required thinner fibers...blah, blah, blah... Anyway, I thought I'd test that claim and indeed, I find it to be true! I love these sheets! They're solid and weighty. No thinning or pilling. Beautiful sheen and very well made. Queen-size fits my pillow-top queen bed perfectly. Love, love, love them! They're beautiful and feel posh and rich without the expense. I plan to buy more colors!Read More
I usually dont buy sheets over the internet, but thought I would give it a try. Wow, I was very, very, pleased with these sheets! very soft, and silky. They are a thicker sheet, and are true to their color. I ordered the chocolate. They are worth every penny I spent on them.Read More
Would have given this product a 5 star, but pockets were not deep enough on the fitted sheet and the top sheet is not wide enough for my top mattress. I am using the set, ordered chocolate color and just love the sheen and quality of the sheet set. Has a very elegant look! My mattress set is a 15"+. I can get the bottom fitted sheet on, but I have to tug really hard to make it fit tight. Top sheet same issue, not quite wide enough to touch the bottom of the top mattress.Read More

FAQs about Sateen Sheets
Sateen sheets are high-quality sheets woven in the same way as traditional satin. Unlike satin, sateen sheets are made with more common fibers, such as cotton. Sateen sheets are soft to the touch and allow skin to slide smoothly into bed. Sateen sheets are available in very high thread counts, and as such, are quite durable. Take a look below for some of the most frequently asked questions about sateen sheets.
Bed Sheet Thread Count Fact Sheet
The thread count of bed sheets refers to the number of threads per square inch of fabric. For example, if a square inch of fabric in a 300-thread count sheet with a standard weave were examined closely, 150 vertical threads and 150 horizontal threads would be counted, for a sum total of 300. The higher the thread count, the softer and smoother the sheets will be. Thread count is an important consideration to take when choosing a new set of sheets, but it should not be used as a sole indicator of quality. Equally important in choosing a bed sheet is the type and quality of the materials used as well as the fabric's weave.

Deciding which type of luxury sheets to purchase is easier when you have the facts. Sateen sheets feel soft when new and have sheen to them, while Egyptian cotton sheets soften over time with use. Both are made from cotton and have much to offer, making the choice one of budget and personal taste.
