I have had some pilling on these. They are okay. I have bought nicer and better quality on Overstocks for similar price.Read More
Being taller, the only mattress size that really fits me well is the California King size bed. Alas, many stores don't carry this. Overstock had the size sheets I needed, great quality and a price that is hard to beat.Read More
Even though the sheets are soft, smooth, and match the pillowcases, the are a bit short in length as putting them on a 12" mattress and making them stay in place does not work. Have to re-fit on mattress every few days. Fitted sheet needs about 1" more material in length and 1" more in depth for it to fully encase any mattress. Other than this minor problem, I love the sheet set.Read More
Just got these sheets yesterday and washed them today. They're supposed to have 18" depth, but after washing it was more like 14". Pillowcases shrunk also and do not fit a queen pillow. Actual shrunk dimensions of pillowcases ended up at 28" in length. Even on permanent press dry setting, the fabric came out wrinkled - very wrinkled. The top edge of the flat sheet rolled and unless I get out the iron, will not lay flat. The fabric itself is very flimsy. Putting on the fitted sheet for the first time my fingernail penetrated the fabric. These sheets won't last more than a few launders, so don't waste your money.Read More
i purchased these sheets in mint, however i was expecting a different shade of mint, which was my own fault (theyre more of a pastel green). they have a beautiful sheen to them in certain lights and certain angles, i read other reviews talking about pilling so when i received them i washed them in a net laundry bag which i suggest others should do, with no fabric softener on delicate. i also only partially dried them then hung them. they are soft for cotton however for the price they arent as nice as i hoped. i originally bought these to stay cool in the summer however i feel they may actually be warmer than my current sheets which are 100% modal which is what im basing this review off of. hope this helps others decide if they should try them for themselves.Read More
these sheets are really from egyptian grown cotton , and are made in India . they do not have any weird chemical smell to them (as the ones made in china do) . they are possibly hand sewn/made . the sheets are soft , and the peach color is very pleasant . (rare to find egyptian cotton in peach color , or even a nice pink) the only caveat is - fabric somewhat thin . it is possible they may rip after some use . i have returned them , would like something more durable .Read More
These sheets are my first disappointing purchase from Overstock. I had my doubts when I opened the packaging. Very cheap looking which made me doubtful of the product. These sheets have a very rough texture. Nothing like my previous Egyptian Cotton sheets purchased from Overstock which are silky and smooth. Washed them prior to use and I suspect pilling will be a big problem in the future as there are already rough little "pills" I can detect when I run my hands over the sheets. The reviews were mixed so I took a chance and lost this time. Color was okay but small consolation to the rough, scratchy texture. Would not recommend these sheets.Read More
Wanted sheets that would stay smooth after repeated washings. These are perfect thickness, stay cool in Florida heat but heavy enough to last. Fits deep mattress perfectly, stays on the corners. A little spendy, but good quality. The grey was darker than I expected, but a classy color. Plan to get another set.Read More
Good sheets for the price. I ordered the peach color. They look pink on the screen, but are very peachy! They are soft, but not the softest. But for the price and 300 thread count, it's a good deal.Read More
Wonderful product. Ultra soft and beautiful on the bed. Easy to care for and sturdy.Read More

FAQs about Sateen Sheets
Sateen sheets are high-quality sheets woven in the same way as traditional satin. Unlike satin, sateen sheets are made with more common fibers, such as cotton. Sateen sheets are soft to the touch and allow skin to slide smoothly into bed. Sateen sheets are available in very high thread counts, and as such, are quite durable. Take a look below for some of the most frequently asked questions about sateen sheets.
Bed Sheet Thread Count Fact Sheet
The thread count of bed sheets refers to the number of threads per square inch of fabric. For example, if a square inch of fabric in a 300-thread count sheet with a standard weave were examined closely, 150 vertical threads and 150 horizontal threads would be counted, for a sum total of 300. The higher the thread count, the softer and smoother the sheets will be. Thread count is an important consideration to take when choosing a new set of sheets, but it should not be used as a sole indicator of quality. Equally important in choosing a bed sheet is the type and quality of the materials used as well as the fabric's weave.
Egyptian Cotton Sheets vs Sateen Sheets
Deciding which type of luxury sheets to purchase is easier when you have the facts. Sateen sheets feel soft when new and have sheen to them, while Egyptian cotton sheets soften over time with use. Both are made from cotton and have much to offer, making the choice one of budget and personal taste.
