These are the classic old fashioned, cotton percale sheets. Percale is meant to be crisp and has more body than sateen. If you're looking for something soft, then these are probably not for you. Percale does soften some with repeated washing, and will last awhile if fabric softener is used sparingly, and even longer if line dried. Line drying also reduces wrinkles with percale, unlike most other things. Don't spin them too dry; wash them on permanent press cycle or even delicate to avoid this. Give them a few shakes and hang out. They'll smell fresher and you'll save energy. Some of the stiffness will go away as they dry. Iron, if you feel like it. I sometimes iron them for the guest bed after spraying with lavender water, and occasionally even for ourselves, when I'm not too busy.;) It's not difficult if folded properly, and our guest bed is king size. I only do along the top 12-16 inches of the flat sheet, [the part that shows when the sheets are folded down] and the fitted sheet stretches enough, it's not needed. Pillowcases are just fun, a no-brainer. These are classic cotton percale, like your classic oxford shirt. If you don't want wrinkles, they'll need ironing. If you're looking for soft, silky sheets, then you want sateen, not percale. [or silk!] If you just want easy care and comfort is secondary, then go for a blend, like poly-cotton. If you want only good looks and something that'll make you sweat, then try microfiber. [!] Learn the difference between different kinds of sheets and you will not be as likely to be disappointed.

I love the size of the sheets. The texture is not as soft as I thought it would be, being percale but I think it may be that the sizing wasn't fully out after two washings. The color is good. I made a mistake in my first order and thought I could substitute different size pillow cases. I found out that what they mean is that you have the option of ordering additional pillow cases of another size. I was able to return the extra pillow cases, since a phone call to the 800 number only continued my confusion. On the whole, I am satisfied with the product and the service. I have ordered another set.

The color of the sheets was as advertised and do look very nice. However, the sheets are not as comfortable as I expected them to be because of the thread count. They are very deep pocket. I have a California King bed with a pillowed mattress and the sheets are actually a bigger fit. If you want a snug fir for your sheets, these are not for you.

Beautiful soft sateen weave hand. Rich sateen Champagne color. Actual *** on sheets & pillowcases printed on tag at ***. These are of high end Hotel Quality. Will go back & buy more. Why go to Bloomingdales when Overstock carries the same quality.

Jury is still out on these. They weren't soft at all. In fact, I actually questioned whether they were really 100% cotton. I washed them before I put them on the bed and then I googled egyptian cotton sheets and it said you have to give them a chance and that they get softer. I washed them a second time and they seemed to soften up a bit. I'm really just lazy and hate to return things so I'm sticking with them for now. Let's see.

I was concerned about ordering this product because the other reviews said that the sheets were so uncomfortable. Straight out of the package, the sheets were very scratchy and uncomfortable. But I washed once with hot water and dried on high heat and now the sheets are really comfortable. The fitted sheet is very very deep and covers the large mattress pad easily with room to spare. Very happy with the purchase. Minus one star because the "slate blue" color was much darker than expected - almost looks black.

When I measured the corner seams (pockets) before laundering, they measured not 24 inches, but 19 1/2 inches. The top sheet did not measure 112 inches X 106 inches, but 110 1/2 inches by 108 inches. After I've laundered and dried according to their instructions, I'll betcha' they'll be even smaller. Based on my results, I will not hesitate to return. I only provided rating parameters because it was required, not because I have formed an opinion on quality and value of these sheets.

Sheets are rough and scratchy, I have washed them many times. They are extremely uncomfortable and not worth the price. I can not trust your descriptions.

They are very stiff and not comfortable at all. I will never use them but will keep them because they were my choice and I wash everything new I buy before I use them.
