anytime you find king size sheets for under 100 it s a deal. I purchased these sheets in black and although the sheets are definitely thick sheets, they are as my husband put it, like sleeping under a tarp. they aren't very soft and cozy like the second set I purchased from O. I think the difference is that the other set was combed egypt. cotton. ?? I have written a review on them as well. If I were to purchase another set, I would go for the combed cotton vs. this set. ps I have washed them numerous times in an attempt to make them softer , it doesn't work
very happy with this purchase sheets are strong yet soft excellant quality looks beautiful on my bed very deep corners and I ahve a deep mattress and usually have trouble keeping sheets on bed.
I love them after a year now! They are very soft and comfy..
These are great winter sheets. A little too heavy for summer use.
These sheets are not particularly soft and look terrible (wrinkled) when they come out of the dryer. I have been much happier with far cheaper sheets.
Expensive crappy sheets...I used four dryer sheets and they still felt like sleeping on cardboard.
Thanks to your answers about different threat count and fabrics, I was able to choose the sheets that were what I was looking for. Thanks Overstock!
I have always used 800 count Egyptian cotton sheets. They always feel a little rough at first, but they soften up with each wash (make sure you use fabric softener)! These sheets are amazing, and you can't beat the price. Please give them a chance! Best of luck!
The sheets are heavy yet delicate. Durable yet smooth and silky to touch. When I got them, I washed them per the instructions and when I took them out of the dryer they were not wrinkled. I put them on my bed and now it is as pleasure to go to bed each night. I am definitely going to purchase another set. The delivery was made in a timely manner, I got them in less than a week. As a first time shopper at the "O", I will be a return customer.
About 6 months ago I purchased the Twin XL 800 thread count Sheets listed here. You would not believe how hard it is to find a high thread count Twin XL. It was exactly what I wanted for my mother's home hospital bed. Very nice, extremely soft and thick. Unfortunately, about a month ago the bottom sheet ripped so long it could not be patched. I would advise, do get these sheets if you are gentle on things, do not get them if you are tough on your belongings.
I love the feel and look of these sheets. They're comfortable, cool, and worth the price. My only issue is that the twin fitted sheet that I bought for my daughter was not a perfect fit for her mattress but it's not bad at all and these are now her favorite sheets.
pretty sheets; very comfortable; slight color change if you order extra pillowcases (who with a king size bed only has 2 pillows?!) washed once and did pick up my liquid fabric softner in the washer. some wrinkles but who cares. very soft to sleep on. highly recommend.
I purchased the sheets because I have a sore heal issue and all my other sheets make my heals hurt more. The Egyptian cotton sheets were very stiff, so I was not sure that they would help or make my heals worse. After washing the sheets, they were still stiff, but my heals didn't hurt during the night. The more I wash them the better they feel and my heals feel. I am very happy with them and recommend them to anyone with feet issues or wants a set of really good sheets.
Not too thick, not too soft, not too smooth. These sheets feel more like 150 TC percale for the price of 800 TC. Disappointing.
Positives - attractive fabric, good color (ivory). Negatives - Way too short (Calif King) top sheet. Bottom sheet very difficult to get that last corner around my 13" mattress. When I received it I washed them before going onto the bed - unpleasantly rough feel when I slipped into bed. After 2 washings with a good dose of fabric softener they feel much better. I iron the pillow cases and the top 12 inches of the top sheet. I would recommend to a friend along with the negatives.
After contemplating between thread count and style, this set was decided on, and have been perfect. I was going to go with the 1000tc sheets, but after reading reviews and checking some out in the store, decided that they would be too thick for where I live. The 800tc is working out perfectly...they are still extremely soft, but they actually breathe at night too, so I don't get too hot. i would highly recommend these sheets...great feel, and awesome look to them.
The sheets are heavier than expected but they're nice to sleep on. We expect that they will wear very well.
Pros first. I have had the sheets for more than a year, and they hold up very well. The textile material is heavy duty and durable. The white color with subtle stripes look low key and elegant. The fitted sheet has very deep pockets, which will be good for the memory foam mattress topper I am getting. Now the Cons. The downside is that the textile is a bit hard. The workmanship is OK, but no thread has fallen apart after a year. The pillow cases have no envelop or button closing, so pillows sometimes slide out. All in all, it's a decent buy. Would give 3.5 out of 5.
I purchased these sheets in burgandy and found the overall quality to be very good...except.....there was a 7" rip in one corner of the fitted sheet and they were not colorfast! When washed, there was red dye EVERYWHERE!! The sheets came out of the dryer wrinkled, too. However, they are constructed of very high quality cotton. The stripe that runs through them has a bit of a sheen and they are beautiful. I would not recommend them to anyone at the current price of $****, but if they were around $****, they would be great.
My husband and I love these! This is probably the first time I have purchased sheets with this high of a thread count. All I can say is...wow. Just like a luxury hotel. They are so thick, a bit heavier than "normal" sheets, but so comfortable. I washed first and they wrinkled some but were fine once put on the bed. I plan to buy more ASAP.
