I bought this burgundy duvet cover, a 630 thread count Egyptian cotton sheet, and another 600 thread count Egyptian cotton sheet from overstock. Of the three, this one feels like its in a whole new class of smoothness. This duvet cover is smoother than any sheet/duvet cover I have ever felt, there are no stripes on it, the brand is Luxor, the color looks like the burgundy in the pic, and the shams have a crease where the pillow inserts in middle of the sheet on one side. Alot of people here are complaining of the shams, I don't see anything wrong with them. As for the actual duvet cover... Wow!!! It feels like a luxurious satin sheet, but has the crispness and coolness of a high quality cotton. So good infact I went to a department store to feel other 600 count sheets to confirm the legitmacy of my other purchases. Nothing in the store, except the the fancy 200 dollar 1000 thread counts felt quite as nice as these. This is a must buy, I have no idea where these other reviewers are getting their information or what sheet they received. All I know is I purchased 3 sheets/duvet covers at one time from overstock and this one could run smoothness circles around the other two.

I bought gold, and it has a lovely sheen that suits my room. The fabric is heavy (to be expected with 650TC), so it weighs down my comforter more than I expected, but it looks lavish. It is cotton, so it was very wrinkled when I first put it on the bed, but after a few days it's not terribly wrinkled. If I had ironed it, I suspect it would still be this wrinkled after several days of folding it back and moving it around on a king sized bed. If you want pristine wrinkle free, I think you need to go with polyester, which in my opinion doesn't feel as nice.

I purchased the duvet and matching sheet set. The fabric is extremely comfortable, but not practical particularly if you have pets. The material does wrinkle quite a bit after being washed/dried, but 2 minutes with an iron fixed that. My problem is that even though I keep my cat's nails very short, they have already snagged three holes in this duvet in less than a week! My previous duvet was not this fragile, and maybe accumulated 3 holes in 4 years. Also pet hair is attracted to the fabric like a magnet. My previous duvet I only had to wash every month or so, but this I will have to wash every week with my sheets -- it is absolutely plastered with cat hair! However the color is gorgeous (I purchased the burgundy), and the sheets are extremely soft and comfortable. I just didn't expect this set to require so much maintenance. I purchase bedding to sleep on, not to constantly wash, iron, and repair.

Ordered a queen size to fit over my oversized queen feather blanket. At first I ordered the color BEIGE, which arrived with a striped design (subtle in the package, but looks very shiny on the bed). The striped pattern makes it more fancy than I would have liked for my bedroom. Next I ordered the same duvet cover and size in the color linen (turns out this color is a closer match to my other bedding). The LINEN duvet color is solid, with no stripes and therefore is much more plain and appropriate for my particular bedroom decor. Both color covers fit well over my comforter, button easily, and wash well (just take them out of the dryer as soon as it stops and fold them to decrease the wrinkling). I think they are of great quality for the price, definitely warm and low maintenance, but do not be surprised if yours arrives with shiny stripes!

I bought this set for my teenage son and, as recommended, I washed it before he used it. Well it washed fine but it dried horrible. When I took the duvet out of the dryer, the entire duvet was wrinkled and it looks terrible. It is not worth the money. The material is terrible.Dissapointed in NY!

These are deep enough to accommodate a super thick mattress and a top pad. so easy to get on the bed. the texture is super soft even after multiple washings with a wee bit of pills, but nothing i cannot live with. the colour is very true to the picture (i ordered the coco colour) and the stitching is substantial. If they had other colours i could use i would get them all!

these were a gift for my daughter in law, she loved them, the quality of the fabric and thefitted sheet that she didn't have to fight with. she saved the shipping label so she could order her own in the future. very satisfied, thant you very much overstock

Sturdy comfy, soft duvet. Thought it would be softer, but still perfect!

I love this duvet! It is heavy enough that it doesn't shift in the night, but not too heavy that I feel suffocated. It looks beautiful- the stark, bright white makes for an extremely crisp looking bed. I am very satisfied and would absolutely recommend it. In full disclosure: I'm pretty sure I've slept through my alarm every morning since using these sheets- be advised ;)

As the other reviewers have said, it gets wrinkly. After one night it looks pretty sloppy... but maybe after a few washes it'll get better? It also snags pretty easily. Another reviewer mentioned this, but I thought it would be fine since I only have one cat (who's declawed in the front). It's not snagging terribly, but I definitely noticed after the first week. Bad reviews aside, I'm actually quite happy with it. I've gone through so many duvet covers that I've hated. This one is super soft, and it doesn't create unwanted heat/stuffiness. We love snuggling up with it!

The cover is great,and I will order more bedding from overstock.com to finish my decor.

The quality is fine however the product wrinkles really bad and needs to be ironed before you can use it. I would not expect a duvet cover to need ironed. I would not recommend this item to anyone.

I love this duvet, the cover was spot on (ivory), and it looks great in the room. It is a bit of a pain when you wash but if you take it out of the dryer right away and spread it out, the wrinkles aren't so bad. Its super soft and fits our cal king bed perfectly!

I bought this item for personal use and I can say I really happy with my purchase. I feel like I can buy anyting at overstock and be happy with my purcahse.

Very dissapointed. Wrinkles, wrinkles and more wrinkles. Even after ironing it as soon as uou use it it wrinkles again. Very messy looking on my bed and the color is more Khaki than Linin. I did not return it because I did not want to pay the restocking fee since I had to wash it first.

We really enjoyed our product. It worked out well for us and the color came pretty close to what was pictured on the internet.

This duvet set is a nice quality cotton and has a light sateen finish (not super shiny, but a bit so). I got the taupe color and really like it. It's not what I would consider to be "taupe." It's got more brown in it than a traditional taupe has. I would say it's pretty true to color to what you see in the image on the site.

I ordered this duvet in the linen color, and I'm happy with the purchase. It arrived promptly, and I have no complaints. It is soft and comfortable, though it does retain a few wrinkles after drying. I think it is a good buy and would definitely recommend purchasing it.

the duvet is extremely soft and nice. Fits perfectly and have extra wide opening for easy slip on and off
