These extra deep pockets fit well on my hard-to-fit mattress. The color (steel) is a beautiful dark gray (almost black) with a nice sheen, and the set comes with 4 pillowcases, which really tipped the scales in favor of buying this set. The sheets are very smooth and comfortable, but I think I expected them to be a bit more luxurious - maybe a bit more like my 800 thread count set. For the price, they really are nice sheets.
I purchased these sheets because I needed deep pocket sheets as I have a pillow top and was sick of my current sheets coming off in the night. I received these sheets extremely quick and immediately put them on my bed. I have never felt such soft sheets that STAY PUT. These sheets are so amazing I did not want to get out of bed!
I purchased these on a whim when i went to buy a new duvet cover, and after initially clicking on them for the great sale they had i started to read the reviews, to my surprise they were rated overall really well. I cannot say enough good things about them, they are so soft and silky without feeling like they are going to slide off. To my biggest surprise the fit a deep pocket mattress and they don't budge. Super happy with my new sheets. Extremely soft!!!
Sheets were comfortable right out of the package and were even more so after washing. I have a 14 inch deep mattress and the deep pocket sheets fit it without a problem. The color was exactly what was shown. I love them and am planning to purchase another set.
Typically I buy a set of sheets for my bed and keep them at least a year, if not longer. I wash them once a week (cold water, low heat dry), and put them back on the bed. With these sheets I had them for just 2 weeks and I couldn't stand them any longer. They were incredibly thin - I'm not sure how they could possibly be 600 thread count - they easily seem like they're half as thick as my last set of 600 thread count sheets. I knew I was getting sheets with deep pockets - I got them thinking they'd have some space to shrink up a little and still be able to fit the mattress. Well that wouldn't have been a problem because there was just so much excess fabric, it wasn't funny. I had the excess tucked under the mattress, but by morning, much of it would be pulled out and the bottom sheet would be quite the crumpled mess. These sheets just feel very.... budget. I ended up ordering a set of the Egyptian Cotton Sateen 600 Thread Count Sheet Set from overstock.com to replace these sheets, and I am 1,000% happier with them. The difference is like night and day.
These are great sheets. They fit our pillow-top plus 2" memory foam topper with room to spare, and are super-soft. If you like crisp sheets, go with percale; these aren't what you're looking for. But if you like a softer drape to your sheets, these are perfect. One way you can tell whether something is made from long-fiber cotton is by how much lint you get when you wash them. A full load of CalKing top and bottom sheet plus 4 pillowcases generated hardly any lint. That means no short fibers to work loose, so we got exactly what was advertised.
I bought these because I have a mattress that is 18 inches deep and I couldn't find sheets that stayed on. These do fit that mattress and could fit an even deeper mattress. However, that being said, they wrinkle like crazy. Washed in cold water, dried on a medium setting AND removed immediately and you can't believe the wrinkles. Typically a sheet with a 600 thread count shouldn't wrinkle like that. Makes me wonder about the truth of the specs.
