I have now purchased 5 of these duvet covers and am very happy with all of them. The brick is a very nice mild red color, and the moss turned out to be an interesting shade of brownish-green -- which went perfectly with what I had. Ironically, the sage color turned out to be more like a shimmery silver and not as bluish green as I had anticipated. Regardless, they are all extremely SOFT and wonderful. Only negative was that some of the buttons have popped off with extended use, so just re-sewed them on tighter. Highly recommend.
I read reviews on every duvet cover on Overstock, and bought this one because of the proclaimed "softness". They were not kidding! This duvet cover is so soft, I do not use a top sheet anymore! (What an easy way to make a bed!) The smoky blue color matched the picture on the web perfectly. I turn the buttons in before buttoning them and they rarely show. There are no ties inside this cover, but I have never had problems with it slipping. It fits my duvet perfectly. It washes well, with a bit of wrinkling at first. This smooths out quickly once it is on the bed. To obtain the crisp look you would have to iron it, but it really looks okay straight from the dryer. You will need to iron the shams though, but they are much easier to iron. The fabric seems to be of good quality. It feels durable, yet it is not so heavy that it is hot. I think I'll be able to use this year-round in Montana. With the lower price, I was afraid I would be sacrificing quality, but that does not seem to be the case at all. It looks and feels wonderful! This was my first purchase from overstock, and I will definitely be back. The shipping was reasonably priced and lightning fast! Thank you Overstock!
I bought this to stage a bed in an unused bedroom while we are selling our house. It's fantastic and luxurious and I'm a bedding snob. It's just as rich and fancy as in a really good hotel. I've never been to an overnight spa but me thinks my room looks like it belongs in a Sedona spa catalog with not too much cash at all. I'm so pleased that I didn't get burned on this because I just would have hated the hassle of sending in back blah-blah. This also comes with two nicely tailored shams. I just put it in the dryer with a damp washrag to get the big creases out and then it settled right down nice on the bed after a couple of days. I bought the Oversized 500 Thread Count All Season Warmth White Down Comforter and that is an absolutely fabulous item as well. Here's the deal though. I've purchased PLENTY of items from many stores for a queen that really don't fit the bed well. It's like the bed is wearing a too small pair of pants! Alas, you can feel assured that the King size in both items fit your Queen size bed perfectly with AMPLE bed skirt left showing. I did a little research on the measurements of my favorite hotel queen size bedding and applied my sly sleuthing findings to this purchase. You won't be dissappointed ordering the king size for your queen size bed. Oh, I bought the white and it's nice and white-white and soft-soft.
I would have sent this back but was having out of town guests and needed a fresh duvet set. The seams on the duvet are unsightly and the pillow shams are regular. Why would you have a king duvet with regular sized shams? After one wash it looks terrible and is now used to cover my sofa where the dogs sleep. Egyptian cotton? hmmm. Read ALL descriptions carefully!!!!
I absolutely love this item. I needed a duvet cover in plain white (which is tough to fine in several places) and this was just what I was looking for. The fabric is very soft to the touch after being washed and is extremly comfortable. The matching pillow cases are simple and contemporary and would match any bedding decor. I would definitely suggest this product to anyone who's looking for a simple, elegant duvet cover.
I purchased this cover and used the provided image to select my desired color. I wanted a light "coffee with milk" type brown, which, in the photo, was called "sage". This seemed odd, and maybe I shouldn't have ordered, because sage is traditionally a pale grayish green color. I decided to take a chance, and unfortunately the item arrived as the traditional (green) sage rather than the light brown in the photo. I wouldn't trust this photo as an accurate guide for the color. If you're particular about the color, I would not recommend ordering this item.
Sheets looked beautiful and felt nice when brand new but after 8 washings already looked like they were ready for the rag bin. The pilled quickly and the color faded rapidly (I got the gold) There are are so many truly good values out there, don't bother with these.
I ordered the wrong size. All seemed good and I was happy until I figured out that I'd ordered the wrong size. I had to pay for the shipping back but OS sent the lable and credited my account promtly. No problems returning the product.
After reading all the favorable reviews, I had to give this duvet cover set a try. Well, everyone was right. I am very happy and I am picky about my bedding (color, quality, and feel/thread count). The only issue is that one of the buttons popped off in the washing machine. No big deal. Sewed it back on and went on feeling great about spending so little for this find, relative to what I might have spent on a comparable item elsewhere. Woohoo!
