Upon arrival, this duvet LOOKED perfect and felt very luxurious; THEN I washed it!!! The fabric came out of the dryer extremely wrinkled and felt very thin. There must have been a lot of sizing or starch in this before washing. I had to return it.
The duvet set arrived a bit slower than I hoped. I am used to two day shipping so ordering on black Friday didn't speed things up. The duvet has shed a few threads each time I make the bed, but they are loose so likely from the seams. I like the color (taupe) for our room, it is definitely a light warm brown, not a cool tone.
I purchased this set to use on a plain white lightweight comforter which I have in a guest bedroom. It is usually folded at the end of the bed more as an accent piece and doesn't get daily use. With that said, I was very pleased with the gold color which seemed fairly close to how it appeared on my computer. Essentially this duvet cover is 2 gold sheets sewn together with a buttoned opening. For me, that was fine because it was the exact sheet color I was looking for. I think the lower thread count helps it stay better on the comforter without a lot of slippage and not much wrinkling.
