We desperately needed nice sheets for our new Serta iComfort split king bed. Good sheets for it have been extremely hard to find (bottom requires two twin XL sheets and top one king sheet). I tried looking just for Twin XL sheets, but most are made for college students so not high quality. I did try some twin XL fitted sheets from Bed Bath and Beyond and they fit terriblly and kept coming off the bed every time we raised the head or foot. We also are in Arizona, so I did not want a heavy sheet. I was very excited to find this set and in a color I liked. Price was reasonable, especially since we were are bit desperate. Another good thing is that they do have good elastic all the way around the fitted sheet, so the sheet stayed on well even when moving bed position (like raising head and feet). That is about all the good. The fit was snug the sheets say they will fit 15-18 but I highly doubt that the iComfort we have is only about 12-13 thick and the fitted sheets barely fit no extra room. The material is strange they are soft and thin (which is what we wanted), but everything sticks to them lint, animal hair and they stick to each other, so the top sheet kind or clings to the bottom sheets, which also makes it a little hard to make the bed. We have washed a couple times. The first time there was a ton of black lint from the sheet left in the washer, but not much the second time. So far they are holding up and work and are fairly comfortable, but I am still looking for a better set. I almost ordered two sets but decided to start with one. I am glad I did as I do not plan to order another set. I only recommend if you are on a tight budget after spending all your money on the fancy bed (hahaha) and need sheets asap because No stores sell them. They are not terrible, but not great either, hence the 3 stars.
I purchased two sets of these sheets for my split king bed and based on the few weeks I've had them, I would definitely not recommend them. The only compliments I can give are related to the colors and the stripe pattern. I was glad to have found something other than a plain sheet, so the stripes were welcome. I ordered the plum and green selections and the colors are nice. However, these sheets are very, very thin and have already started pilling after only one use on the bed and two wash cycles. I always wash my sheets by themselves and dry on a low setting, yet they have already developed annoying pills on them. While they are elasticized all around, they do come off the head of the bed fairly easily if the head is elevated very frequently. Lastly the stitching in the hem around the edges of the flat sheet is coming loose in several areas. Undoubtedly, this will lead to the early demise of these sheets. Overstock, I love it that you guys are willing to carry sheets for the specialty beds!! Please keep stocking split king sheets for us! However, please get your suppliers to give us better value for our money than these sheets were.
I've been trying to piece a set of bedding together for 5 yrs for our Tempurpedic split king adjustable bed because everything is sold in sets these days (stupid idea if you ask me because the bottoms always wear out first - are you listening bedding manufacturers?) I didn't know there was such a thing a "split king set" for these beds and was happy to find one here. The set is soft, washes easily, and the fitted sheets go on with room to spare. My only complaint is the color selection.
I love the quality and color of this set. I have an adjustable bed, so I have to buy split sets. The bed's length requires a California king. I got this set quite awhie ago and have literally been wrestling with it. . The set included a CK top sheet, two pillowcases, one extra long twin fitted and one double fitted. I was so anxious to use the set that I have put up with a fitted sheet that will never fit--too short, too wide. My greatest problem is that I have been unable to get a XL twin fitted bottom sheet in plum to replace the double. There does not seem to exist a site where I can just order this sheet in the correct sheet size. Overstock only seems to have sheet sets. Anybody got a clue where I can get an extra long twin fitted plum sheet?
I was a little unpleased at all the threads that came off the sheets when washed and dried. I have never had that experience. But they are a lovely shade and match our bedroom beautifully. They arrived in a timely manner and, other than all the threads, are satisfactory.
The sheets had a very chemically smell when they arrived. I had to wash 3 times just to diminish the odor. It is still there, but tolerable. I am assuming it will go away after a few more washings. When you shake the sheets out to put on the bed, you can see daylight through the stitching by the stripes. The sheets fit nicely and stay on well even on my adjustable bed. We will see if they hold up. :)
We've moved and bought a new bed and needed new sheets. I found out I needed a split-king set, 2 twin xl fitted and the rest is a king set. Bed,bath and beyond does not carry them, nor does JC Penney, Sears or Macy's. I did find them on WalMarts website for more money than Overstock. My daughter told me to try your website and I am certainly glad I did. I ordered another set as well and have told others about this goldmine online. Thank you Overstock!!!!!!!
I thought I was ordering King sheets and they ended up being a split king set. Now I have 2 fitted sheets that will fit the kids bed and one flat sheet that doesn't match for my bed. The quality of the sheets was also disappointing. I went and bought an awesome set at Costco!
The sheet set arrived on schedule. Although very comfortable, they are thicker than what I'm used to but so far are holding up quite well. Considering there are not many options to purchase split king sheet sets, these will do just fine.
