The pillow cases are great although the sheet set that matches them is a different story, the fitted sheet is not wide enough on the sides to come down and tuck in to cover the mattress and the top sheet is not long enough to tuck in at the foot of the bed. But they are very soft.
Opted not to go with the cheapest (money wise) this time but definitely didn't get quality. Made the mistake of washing before I did a QA check. When I put the covers on the seams were split in more than one place on one. Couldn't return since I laundered them but I'll check seams first from now on.
We're completing a bedroom remodel which includes "Restoration Hardware" linen bedskirt and stonewashed linen quilt in tonal greys. We thought a little pop of color (in pinkish or plumish tones) would be nice so, after reading the other reviews, we ordered the plum pillow cases, expecting a "deep plum" (maybe like the fruit with some brownish or maroonish undertones?) On the plus side, the fabric feels fabulous and luxurious and well made and delivery was prompt. Unfortunately, on the down side, while we really, really wanted to love these, the color is just too loud, I would say a bright purple, maybe even "neon." If you love all things "purple," these quality pillow cases should be great for you. But if you're looking for something more subdued, probably not.
I thought I was going to a snottier version of the big chain stores and get the bottom of the barrel set of pillowcases for around $** bucks....wrong! I decided to check Overstock and for the same price, I got a higher quality set of pillowcases in a beautiful deep plum. This is my favorite color, so it makes going to bed and waking up a little more pleasant :) The first wash was done in cold with a set of sheets of similar color because of potential bleed. I guess the real test will be the next wash. As far as the quality, the pillow cases aren't too rough, but they aren't that weird too soft, almost shimmery texture. They are perfect in my opinion and would purchase again.
