While I was able to overcome the problems identified earlier, I would not purchase this item again.
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Accurate but the color was limited to perimeter and not at an adequate coverage
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. Fair amount of shrinkage after first wash made it difficult to center on boxspring
- How accurate was the on site description of the product? OK
I am going to keep this because I washed it, ironed it and put it on the bed. It looks OK but in the process of preparing it for use I found: 1. the part that goes between the mattress and box spring is not real fabric. It is non-woven and very fragile - it tears, it melts in the dryer on low heat, and when you are ironing the cotton 'skirt' you have to be careful not to hit this area with the iron. 2. several sections of hem stitching were missing and had to be repaired. 3. many loose strings had to be clipped 4. Even though it is "Egyptian" cotton it is made in China. I would not buy this again and if this were my first Overstock purchase, I would not be back. Generally I find their merchandise to be much, much better than this.
I bought two sets of these to put on my new 14 inch Queen-size Gel Memory Foam Mattress. Each time they get washed they become a little tighter and a little harder to fit onto the mattress. Impossible to get them all the way down onto the mattress.
Ordered this in sage to match the Florence Quilt Set and it's perfect. I took it out of the packaging and washed it. Promptly took it out of the dryer and didn't even have to iron it which is a big plus. Glad it has split corners for the footboard. This bedskirt is not heavy or thick but it does just fine and adds a richness to the comforter set.
The material is quite thin, but after steaming hung out to look nice. I like that there is material that goes over the box spring. Color was a little more yellow than I expected, but my monitor is not calibrated. I think it looks very nice considering what I paid.
I ordered this in twin navy blue for my sons bed. My biggest concern was that his bed has a footboard so it had to split in the corners, which it does. I knew from reading the reviews that it was going to be wrinkly and boy was it ever! I moved recently and can not find my iron anywhere either! I took the advice of another reviewer and threw it in the dryer with a wet dish cloth and that didn't help at all. I put it on his bed anyways and I'm hoping they just fall out on their own. Other than the wrinkles, I am happy with it!
