Egyptian Cotton 1500 Thread Count Striped Duvet Cover Set

I got the gold duvet cover. It's an excellent product: really hefty, and the series of buttons (5, I think) to keep the down comforter in place is sewn real tightly so they're not going to fall off anytime soon. The 1500 thread count makes it almost impervious to wrinkling. A real plus when you have to make the bed in a hurry.

Although the quality of this duvet cover is excellent, the high thread count makes for a very dense, heavy fabric... too warm in combination with a down comforter in our mild climate.

The material is obviously very high quality and will last. I will use it in the winter, and it probably would be perfect at that time. My plan was to use it as a cover for my electric blanket, which is scratchy. I washed it once already prior to use and it is not any more supple but I suspect a few more washes will soften the material to a point. It would be perfect as a top layer duvet. The matching pillowcases/shams are very nice and can be used year 'round.

This duvet is very high quality and was exactly what we wanted. We ordered the sage in king. One thing I like is that the duvet manages to keep the down comforter in place without any ties. I'm not sure how it's done it, but it's probably the material. It's definitely more substantial feeling than your average duvet, so if you like a lighter weight feel then don't buy this. We've washed this several times already and it hasn't faded or shown any wear. I would definitely recommend it!
