I originally bought a set of these sheets in Cal King Medium Blue. I loved them so much that I bought two sets of the matching King pillowcases, and another sheet set and two more pillowcase sets in the Sage color. The 1500 TC pillowcase colors match the 1500 TC sheets perfectly, and are as pictured. Both Medium Blue sheets and pillowcases are a saturated medium blue color, although the Sage color is slightly less saturated than the picture on my monitor shows. Both Med Blue and Sage feel and look to be very expensive and high-quality. The sheets are very deep, and easily fit my 14 inch mattress with a mattress pad underneath, with room to spare. But People, PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH before you buy high Thread Count sheets. Don't give low reviews, or waste your money, simply because you were ignorant of what you were ordering. High TC sheets start out being heavy and a little stiff when you first open the package, but they soften up by washing and using them. The higher the TC, the heavier the sheets, so these sheets are heavy. Lower thread count sheets will be initially more pliable and more "airy" feeling, because there are fewer threads per square inch, so they actually are more airy since there is more air between threads. If you like light weight, airy sheets, get low TC or cotton-blend sheets. Initial softness in cotton sheets depend on the quality of the cotton used, and whether they have been pre-softened before you buy them. Having your sheets pre-softened means that they are usually more expensive, because of the extra time and processes involved. These sheets have not been pre-softened, so we are able to buy them cheaper than you would otherwise. Also note that all cotton sheets, especially higher TC sheets, WILL WRINKLE and take more time to dry! If you have multiple sets, which I recommend, fold the other set when it comes out of the dryer, putting your folded pillowcases between the bottom and top sheets so the weight naturally presses them, and put the set away. When you take them out to change sheets, the folded set will have lost most of the wrinkles. By alternating sheet sets, and folding the unused set, you shouldn't have to iron your sheets. If you are still unsatisfied with your minor wrinkles, or if you only have one set, you can iron your sheets if it really bugs you. These particular sheets are beautiful and have held up well after washing. They are exactly what you would expect from 1500 TC sheets, will last forever, and are far less expensive on the big O than elsewhere.
For a college graduation gift, we bought a new bed and mattress set for our daughter. We wanted it to be extra special so we bought her these 1500 count Egyptian sheets to go with it. She has mentioned several times how much she loves her sheets. Before purchasing these sheets we went to several department stores in the area and found nothing close to the quality of these sheets. They cost as much and/or more as these sheets yet they were much thinner and cheaper feeling. She loves the med blue color which we couldn't find anywhere else and she loves how thick and comfortable they are. She doesn't know it yet but we just ordered her the matching duvet cover for Christmas. We will be purchasing these sheets for our own bed as after seeing the quality of her sheets, it is difficult to be satisfied with our own much thinner sheets. In my opinion, it is well worth the extra money to buy these 100% Egyptian 1500 thread count sheets. What is more important than getting a good night of sleep? These sheets can make any bed feel comfortable and luxurious. One down side of these sheets is that they can wrinkle quickly if you don't put them on the bed immediately after they come out of the dryer, but our cheaper sheets are also like that.
These sheets are fabulous. The difference between a 1500 count sheet and the standard 400-600 is dramatic. I now want to dump all of my other sheet sets and replace them with more of these. They almost have a canvas-like weight to them, but they are dense and soft , and they feel fantastic.
To temper my enthusiastic rave, I should note that my husband can't tell the difference between these sheets and our other, cheaper sets. So some folks may not be impressed, but I am wild about them. If you are the least bit picky about your bedding, you'll be in heaven if you get these.
We ordered these sheets after staying at a relative's house and falling in love with their luxuriously soft sheets. They told us they were from overstock and 1000 count, but didn't know any other details. I saw good reviews for these sheets, and thought "if 1000 count is soft and luxurious, 1500 count must be even better". So far we're not thrilled with these sheets. We've washed them 4 times and they still feel relatively stiff and not too soft. They also feel really heavy and will probably be great in the winter, but we're sweltering in them at night now during July. They don't feel at all breathable because they're so heavy. We're still hoping they'll get softer with a few more washes. We don't hate them, just hope they'll get better soon so they're more like what we expected.
After visiting with my sister who had these on her guest bed, I came right home and ordered them. They are so thick and soft and, unlike some of the other reviewers, don't think they wrinkle much. They are so thick that I wash the top and bottom sheets separately and also dry them separately. There was very little shrinkage. After sleeping on these, my previous sheets (that I bought from a VERY high end catalog and spent twice as much) felt threadbare and cheap. I'm ordering a second set today. When I wake mornings and while still getting my thoughts together, I run my hands between the sheets and marvel at how luxurious they feel. Always brings a smile ot my face and I nestle in while trying to convince myself to get out of bed - - not an easy thing to do when sleeping on these sheets. Thanks Overstock.
I did my research before purchasing these sheets, since this is more than I'd ever spent for sheets. They are VERY HEAVY cotton. Consequently, they take longer to dry. They did shrink when I washed on warm and dried on low. However, they're beautiful and I've been impressed w/this purchase. I bought the sage color in queen sized. The sage is slightly more saturated than my monitor shows in the picture. The sheet finish is smooth and the top sheet has a nice high quality stitched finish across the top. The fitted sheet pockets are deep, but after washing and drying on low, NOT deep enough for my 16.5" mattress though the description indicates this fitted sheet will accommodate up to an 18" mattress. However, I'm making it work. I especially like that the top sheet is wider than some to accommodate the height of the mattress; thus the top sheet hangs just below the mattress, after washing, even though it's a fat mattress. These feel VERY high quality and appear to be well made after several washings.
Queen size weighs 8.4 pounds with both sheets and 2 pillow cases. Don't know weight of king size. Hope this helps.le45 on Jan 8, 2014

Hi cmma1, they have dropped in price since you last saw them but unfortunately not as low as you were able to purchase them at. Our sales vary depending on several circumstances because of this we are unable to determine when they will be on sale again. We apologize for the inconvenience. overstockcustomercare1 on Dec 30, 2013
Do these sheets make noise? Some sheets are really loud for lack of a better word. I currently have 100% Egyptian cotton sheets and they are so soft and I don't hear my husband turning over on the sheets.

I got the Queen...and the pockets are deep before washing. Do not dry in dryer. Takes a day to hang and dry inside...maybe shorter outside in the warm air. Dryer will make it shrink. I have a Queen I now use on a Full...because I didn't know and dried it in the dryer. You can put it in the dryer when it is about 1/2 dry just to get the wrinkles out but don't leave it in for more than a few minutes. Seriously. It will shrink.sashin on Jul 12, 2013
I dried my sheets in the dryer. They have never shrunk and I have 3 sets.le45 on Jan 8, 2014

These sheets will likely be reviewed very well initially, but since they pill quickly, most people will end up not being happy with them. Does Overstock look at quality of products like this over time and take action (Like stop selling them) so others don't end up with a bad product in the longer term? I ask because these sheets have made me quite shy about purchasing other sheets from Overstock.curtissea on Mar 10, 2012Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Yes, if over time we see a negative trend with a product, we try to find a solution for dissatisfied customers.overstockcustomercare1 on Mar 12, 2012
Cotton does not pill. These sheets likely have polyester in them. I do a test on the sheets when I get them. Simply find a few loose threads from both straight and cross threads. Expose the threads to a match flame. Polyester threads retract and form a tiny ball of plastic at the end whereas cotton threads just burn. Again, cotton does not pill.
