    • Pure Unmatched Luxury!!

I'm leaving another review only because now that I've had these sheets for well over a year, I thought I'd let others know how they are faring. First, anyone who expects these to be "soft" out of the package, needs to do some research on higher thread counts.I actually own several sets of the 1500 tc as well as a couple sets of the 1200 tc sheets and I can't get people to stop wanting to come visit or house-sit for us because they love our sheets!! The literally feel like melted butter and when you add the sheets to a feather mattress and comforter, it's literally like gliding onto a cloud and you will never see sleeping the same again.Like I said and other reviewers have said, the more you wash them, the more you will love them. But remember, the higher the thread count, the more dense they will be, so out of the package they will be like brand new drapery, if you remember those from our mothers' making us put them up and take them down. I would say it takes between 15-20 washes before you will actually be in love with them, but that, again, is just my opinion. I'm more than happy to invest that into these sheets because I will never go with less again.I've seen a few people mention that they're pricey as well, but if you actually price these anywhere else, for this high a thread count? They're untouchable for less than 400-500 dollars and that's on the low side. I saw some this Christmas at a large dept store, 800 tc and they wanted 249.99 for them, and THAT was on sale!Next year, I am going to spoil all of my girlfriends with sets of these sheets - they deserve them and anyone else that I can recruit for Overstock is all the better! Go O! Love these sheets, keep them coming and I will definitely come back for them time after time!!

    • Egyptian Cotton 1500 TC Sheet Set

I originally bought a set of these sheets in Cal King Medium Blue. I loved them so much that I bought two sets of the matching King pillowcases, and another sheet set and two more pillowcase sets in the Sage color. The 1500 TC pillowcase colors match the 1500 TC sheets perfectly, and are as pictured. Both Medium Blue sheets and pillowcases are a saturated medium blue color, although the Sage color is slightly less saturated than the picture on my monitor shows. Both Med Blue and Sage feel and look to be very expensive and high-quality. The sheets are very deep, and easily fit my 14 inch mattress with a mattress pad underneath, with room to spare. But People, PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH before you buy high Thread Count sheets. Don't give low reviews, or waste your money, simply because you were ignorant of what you were ordering. High TC sheets start out being heavy and a little stiff when you first open the package, but they soften up by washing and using them. The higher the TC, the heavier the sheets, so these sheets are heavy. Lower thread count sheets will be initially more pliable and more "airy" feeling, because there are fewer threads per square inch, so they actually are more airy since there is more air between threads. If you like light weight, airy sheets, get low TC or cotton-blend sheets. Initial softness in cotton sheets depend on the quality of the cotton used, and whether they have been pre-softened before you buy them. Having your sheets pre-softened means that they are usually more expensive, because of the extra time and processes involved. These sheets have not been pre-softened, so we are able to buy them cheaper than you would otherwise. Also note that all cotton sheets, especially higher TC sheets, WILL WRINKLE and take more time to dry! If you have multiple sets, which I recommend, fold the other set when it comes out of the dryer, putting your folded pillowcases between the bottom and top sheets so the weight naturally presses them, and put the set away. When you take them out to change sheets, the folded set will have lost most of the wrinkles. By alternating sheet sets, and folding the unused set, you shouldn't have to iron your sheets. If you are still unsatisfied with your minor wrinkles, or if you only have one set, you can iron your sheets if it really bugs you. These particular sheets are beautiful and have held up well after washing. They are exactly what you would expect from 1500 TC sheets, will last forever, and are far less expensive on the big O than elsewhere.

    • great sheets

For a college graduation gift, we bought a new bed and mattress set for our daughter. We wanted it to be extra special so we bought her these 1500 count Egyptian sheets to go with it. She has mentioned several times how much she loves her sheets. Before purchasing these sheets we went to several department stores in the area and found nothing close to the quality of these sheets. They cost as much and/or more as these sheets yet they were much thinner and cheaper feeling. She loves the med blue color which we couldn't find anywhere else and she loves how thick and comfortable they are. She doesn't know it yet but we just ordered her the matching duvet cover for Christmas. We will be purchasing these sheets for our own bed as after seeing the quality of her sheets, it is difficult to be satisfied with our own much thinner sheets. In my opinion, it is well worth the extra money to buy these 100% Egyptian 1500 thread count sheets. What is more important than getting a good night of sleep? These sheets can make any bed feel comfortable and luxurious. One down side of these sheets is that they can wrinkle quickly if you don't put them on the bed immediately after they come out of the dryer, but our cheaper sheets are also like that.

    • Decent, but heavy

It seems like the luxury sheet industry has decided to market itself purely on thread-count, which used to be a good measure of how fine and silky a given set of sheets might be. But that no longer works. These sheets could be the poster-child for the problem. Claiming a magnificent 1500 thread-count, what you have is not ultra-fine threads lined up in perfect order giving you a single weave of surpassing perfection, but instead what I'd describe as a very heavy canvas of normal sized threads woven together to deliver the required thread count, but resulting in a VERY heavy sheet that's more about thickness and weight than about silky perfection and texture. I decent sheet, but not near as nice as some 500 thread count sheets I've used in the past. Good news, it didin't cost much. Can anyone manage to make a serious luxury sheet with ultra-fine threads woven tight and perfect like what the 800 thread count sheets of 20 years ago did?

    • The Best

After visiting with my sister who had these on her guest bed, I came right home and ordered them. They are so thick and soft and, unlike some of the other reviewers, don't think they wrinkle much. They are so thick that I wash the top and bottom sheets separately and also dry them separately. There was very little shrinkage. After sleeping on these, my previous sheets (that I bought from a VERY high end catalog and spent twice as much) felt threadbare and cheap. I'm ordering a second set today. When I wake mornings and while still getting my thoughts together, I run my hands between the sheets and marvel at how luxurious they feel. Always brings a smile ot my face and I nestle in while trying to convince myself to get out of bed - - not an easy thing to do when sleeping on these sheets. Thanks Overstock.

    • Horrible, Do not buy this

My husband and I bought the 1000 thread count sheets about 3 years ago and loved them so much that was all we used, they would go in the wash and then right back on the bed, at first they were thick and heavy but after awhile they wore in and became like butter soft. When our sheets wore out I thought that I am going to get the 1500 thread count sheets and they will last even longer and be well worth the money. When the sheets came they were Egyptian Cotton but made in China and boy were they really thin, not the heaviness or quality I was expecting so I sent them back and I am going to buy two sets of the 1000 count sheets. These are not worth the money and I think that you will be sorry if you get them.

    • Gorgeous sheets

Beautiful heavy, smooth sheets. Not 'rough' textured like some other high thread count sheets I have tried. Not heat inducing, despite their weight. Will last a verrry long time. Highly recommend.

    • Not at all like my previous order

I had ordered the Egyptian cotton, single ply, deep pocket sheets 1 year ago. They were thick, heavy cotton sheets, that with washing, became soft sheets. That is what I expected to receive when I placed my order for the exact same thing. It was not. The packaging is the first clue. The 100% Egyptian cotton reads: "100% Egyptian Gotton". If you read this on the front of the package, do not keep them. Head the warnings of the people who have reviewed this product with this packaging before, and return. I will not take the chance that after a few washings, there will be pilling and after long term use, the sheets will wear through. I would like to find the type of sheets I had ordered last year. They are heavy cotton sheets. Out of the package, the 1500 count singly ply sheets should feel heavy and rough, but with several washings they are perfectly soft and wonderful. I compared the new sheets with my existing sheets to find that the new sheets are not as thick, although soft. That concerns me that they may not be the 1500 count stated on the package. They will be sent back before I can tell if they will pill or not. I will not take the chance. This is why I have given them a "Fair" rating and not a "Poor".

    • Fell Apart After 18 months.

We fell in love with these sheets, color and comfort. However, very upset when they begain to fall apart, and shred after 18 months. Have had less expensive sheets last for many years.

    • Great quality-absolutely love them!

I love quality bedding but can't afford the Italian imports. Even if I could afford it, I couldn't bring myself to spend over $1k on sheets. I took a chance on these and I couldn't be happier. I ordered the duvet cover as well and the shipping weight was 24lbs!! I definitely got what I paid for. If you're contemplating these don't hesitate and order them. You will not be disappointed.
