1500 Thread Count Pillowcase Set
 from California,  Jan 20, 2011

Bought two of these pillowcase sets in the King size and Medium Blue color, and two sets in the King size and Sage color. The colors match the 1500 TC sheets perfectly, and are as pictured. Both Medium Blue sheets and pillowcases are a saturated medium blue color, although the Sage color is slightly less saturated than the picture on my monitor shows. Both Med Blue and Sage look very expensive and high-quality. They are large pillowcases that fit my king size pillows well, with a little room to spare. But People, PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH before you buy high Thread Count sheets. Don't give low reviews, or waste your money, simply because you were ignorant of what you were ordering. High TC sheets start out being heavy and a little stiff when you first open the package, but they soften up by washing and using them. The higher the TC, the heavier the sheets, so these sheets are heavy. Lower thread count sheets will be initially more pliable and more "airy" feeling, because there are fewer threads per square inch, so they actually are more airy since there is more air between threads. If you like light weight, airy sheets, get low TC or cotton-blend sheets. Initial softness in cotton sheets depend on the quality of the cotton used, and whether they have been pre-softened before you buy them. Having your sheets pre-softened means that they are usually more expensive, because of the extra time and processes involved. These sheets have not been pre-softened, so we are able to buy them cheaper than you would otherwise. Also note that all cotton sheets, especially higher TC sheets, WILL WRINKLE and take more time to dry! If you have multiple sets, which I recommend, fold the other set when it comes out of the dryer, putting your folded pillowcases between the bottom and top sheets so the weight naturally presses them, and put the set away. When you take them out to change sheets, the folded set will have lost most of the wrinkles. By alternating sheet sets, and folding the unused set, you shouldn't have to iron your sheets. If you are still unsatisfied with your minor wrinkles, or if you only have one set, you can iron your sheets if it really bugs you. These particular sheets and pillowcases are beautiful and have held up well after washing. They are exactly what you would expect from 1500 TC sheets, will last forever, and are far less expensive on the big O than elsewhere.

A must have
from Modesto, CA,  Jun 2, 2011

From the moment I opened the package I knew I was in love. Since I have sensitive skin, I usually do not purchase bedding without touching it first. However, I decided to take a chance after a self-proclaimed "sheet snob" co-worker recommended the luxury sheets on overstock. Since my purchase I have ordered 5 more sets and only wash them together to protect the fabric. It is also important to note that to experience the full luxury and softness of these sheets one must wash them properly. While cheap sheets fall apart after repeated washings, these sheets only get softer. Even though I am not one of high financial income, these sheets and pillowcases are an essential investment in my sleep.

Very pleased
from Ponchatoula La.,  Dec 25, 2008

Bought these in addition to the sheet set, also 1500tc. They are even softer after washing and are a dream to sleep on. We have never been disappointed by any of the sheet sets that we have gotten here. We started with LOL 600tc set went to 800 then 1000. My wife says I am addicted to sheets.

Thick and cheaply made
from Minneapolis, MN,  Mar 8, 2012

I am not a big fan of these pillow cases. The material is thick, as you'd expect with 1500 tread count, but where the decorative trim areas are sewn together, there are pleats, and it is so thick there they could stand up on their own. It makes the seams just seem cheap. I expected the finish on these to be more smooth, but they're almost a bit fuzzy. The one good thing is if the stitching holds up, these pillow cases should last for a long time. They might make better decorative items than something you sleep upon.

We like them so far.
 from Illinois,  Nov 23, 2011

Nice weight and feel, silky; still a little stiff but they've only been washed twice and you can tell they'll become buttery-soft over time. Pillowcases are ample even for thick pillows (a constant annoyance on a different set we previously bought from Overstock). The fitted sheet is actually a little loose, even on our stupidly thick mattress, so it has room to shrink a little over time. My only complaint is that the flat sheet tends to roll up at the bottom and side hems, instead of lying flat. Many heavy sheets do this though.

Think twice.
from Indianapolis, Indiana,  Nov 7, 2011

I wrote a review of the sheets and these pillowcases had exactly the same issue. First set had holes when they arrived. Second set started shredding in multiple places after being carefully washed in a large load new washer and line dried after 60 days. No refunds or credits allowed since it is past the refund time frame. Overstock does NOT stand behind the quality of their products after 30 days. I was offered a 15 refund. Even after speaking to a supervisor.

  • How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Horrible.
  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. Horrible.
  • How accurate was the on site description of the product? Horrible.

Sctratchy materal- 1500? Not sure.
from San Diego, CA,  May 6, 2012

These pillowcases are nice and I'm keeping them but they weren't what I expected .. my 800 thread count sheet set is much softer than these pllowcases. They're scratchy so I really doubt that they're actually 1500 thread count. The color of blue isn't as bright as they show in the picture so they're ok for the price but I wouldn't really recommend them.

Great sheets, but follow the washing directions
from Concord, NC,  May 1, 2012

Soft, heavy, top quality sheets. Not cheap, though. After reading all reviews before ordering, I am careful to follow the wash label on the sheets. "Wash with cold water & Woolite on Delicate cycle. Tumble dry LOW heat." Since mine are California King & I always have trouble getting these big sheets dry, I bought 2 Reusable hard plastic "Down Fluffer" rings for the dryer which works on down, linens & cottons. I got mine from the Company Store, but others have told me they have found them at other stores. Under the low heat recommendation with the rings, they are almost completely dry.

1500 count Sheets Shrink!
 from Az,  Apr 10, 2012

These sheets are thick and soft when they arrive, but after one washing in cold water and drying on delicate (following washing instructions!), they still shrink, to the point they barely fit a king-sized bed! Definitely not high quality fabric as advertised in these pricey sheets! Why aren't they already pre-shrunk? Consumers are better off avoiding higher count sheets at Overstock, and paying less for sheets that may also shrink! Can I return them so Overstock can evaluate this sheet vendor or give refunds? Better high count/high quality sheets are elsewhere!

I was apprehensive because the price was so low, but the quailty was fantastic. I am a sheet snob and they have to be really soft.

EXCELLENT QUALITY!
from Washington, DC,  Apr 3, 2012

Incredible quality. Only needing one washing before use. I had read reviews that I would need to wash the sheets about 15 times before they'd be soft and comfortable. That was not true. I LOVE THESE SHEETS!!!

Good Stuff!
 from Florida,  Apr 3, 2012

I wasn't hesistant about ordering this as I saw mixed reviews. However, I am glad I did. The only problem i have is that unfortunately I have to get out of the sheets in the morning. These sheets are thick, thick, thick--did I mention thick. Honestly if you had some metal rods you could use this thing to make a tent. The thickness is good because it allows you to use a slightly lighter blanket or turn down the heat and save on your bill. It is still cotton so it's not that hot--nothing like flannel or fleece. It is really nice and you will feel in the lap of luxury. Sure it is made in China--but what isn't these days, and who knows what the thread count actually is, some manufacturers grossly overstate it. However, the thread count is definitely high and you can tell that by the sheer weight of the linens. If you get these sheets you'll wish you could pull a Rip Van Winkle and sleep for 20 years.

This sheet set if wonderful!
 from Maryland,  Mar 20, 2012

I love them. I've washed them several times now, and true to other reviews they get softer with each wash. Sheets are heavy compared to lower thread counts. Fit is very good, even on a 17" deep mattress. I definitely recommend buying these sheets.

The more you wash them, the more evidence
 from SoCal,  Feb 25, 2012

These were probably the most expensive sheet set that I've purchased to date. The first washing the sheets came out nice, but a bit wrinkled, even with the low heat and delicate fabric settings on the dryer. The second time washed, I was able to see a few blemishes that was in the material that was not seen after the first wash. I understand these sheets will get thicker as they are washed more. I hope there're not be any more blemishes. Bottom line: I am happy wth these sheets and I believed I paid a fair price for this set. I've seen other sets that were at the same TC and cost twice as much. If asked would I buy another set of the same TC, my answer would be, "Yes". Because fo the TC and the quality of the material, I would recommend these to my friends.
