Once you buy and use any of these 1000 to 1200 thread count egyptian cotton linen you will never settle for anything less. The price is right and comfort for my bed where we all spend 25% to 33% of our day is worth spending a little extra to me. I have been searching for YEARS for a set of sheets that are heavy, thick and have that crispy feel to them. My search is finally over and I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. I purchased the 1500 thread count for my sheets and the 1200 thread count for my pillow cases (they didn't have the pillow cases in my color at 1500) and I LOVE THEM. Just ordered another set!!!!Read More
These pillow cases did not meet expectations. They did not wash up well, Lost their color and stayed wrinkled no matter what I tried. I would not buy these again.Read More
I bought these as they were advertised as oversized and I needed larger pillowcases to fit my Queen Tempurpedic pillows. They are larger as advertised although they have shrunk a bit on washing they still fit. Fabric is very good quality and heavy duty. Only thing I don't like is they are brushed and cat hair sticks to them really badly.Read More
I first bought these sheets over 8 years ago. When I upgraded from a Queen to a King 6 years ago, I had to have them for the new bed, too. These sheets are amazingly comfortable and last for years with regular washing. 6 years later, I just had to order my first replacement set for the bed we sleep in every night. Thanks, Overstock, for carrying such an outstanding product!!!Read More
Love these thick, soft sheets. Feel so pampered when in bed. Would recommend them to anyone.Read More
All I can say is what I wrote as the title....... PURE HEAVEN or better yet HEAVEN IS FOR REAL !!!!!!Read More
1200 thread count? Incredibly dense, like canvas. Yet the pillowcase hem tore in the washing machine the very first time I washed it (didn't even sleep on it!) Worthless!Read More
These sheets are thicker/heavier than I thought which is not a problem as the quality is very good and they are not hot or feel heavy on. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because thet are not as soft as I would expect from this count of sheets. I will see if they soften more after a few washesRead More
This "luxury item" shrank about 3 inches lengthwise so it only barely covers the entirety of my pillow. It also is not soft after washing...Read More

Popular Types of Quilts
Out of all the bedding made, quilts may be the most diverse. Quilts are produced in all kinds of colors, patterns, sizes, styles and types. If you're looking for a quilt but don't know where to start, take a look at the popular types of quilts below to learn more about this beautiful kind of bedding. Amish quilts: These beautiful quilts reflect the Amish way of living and feature solid colors, deep hues, geometric patterns and very little embellishment. Amish quilts contain the highest quality of construction and stitching, and, sometimes, the wonderful stitch patterns (scrolls, feathers) contrast with the simple backgrounds of their quilts. Applique quilts: These quilts use a French needlework technique where fabric pieces are sewn onto another piece of material to create a design. Applique is used extensively in the quilting process and is not to be confused with patchwork. Patchwork pieces are joined together; applique is sewn on top of the whole piece. Baltimore album quilts: Baltimore album quilts came from Maryland in the early 1800s. Each block in the design of these quilts is appliqued differently, often in ornate floral patterns. Bangladeshi quilts: These quilts are made with layers of Saree cloth. Saree cloth is silk cloth used by women of India to wrap and fold around the body as a garment. The cloth is usually 40 to 60 inches wide by 6 yards long. These quilts are used as bedding or as decorative pieces. Bargello quilts: Bargello quilts are created with offset squares in an up-and-down geometric "V" pattern. The small squares of different fabrics and the colorful designs make these quilts true works of art. Hawaiian quilts: Hawaiian quilts are not pieced, and they usually showcase a large, symmetrical applique in the center of the quilt. Most often the background is white or another solid color. Patchwork quilts: Patchwork quilts are constructed of many small pieces of fabric which are put together in an improvised or irregular pattern. This is a well-known quilt style, and examples of historical patchwork quilts are found in many museums. Ralli quilts: Ralli quilts, sometimes known as rilli quilts, are traditional quilts made in India or Pakistan. There is an abundance of embroidery as well as applique on the patchwork patterns. Star quilts: Star quilts are created with a large star shape, or several star shapes, dominating the pattern. Wedding ring quilts: Wedding ring quilts are crafted in a design of interlocking rings. This pattern goes far back in history: in the fourth century it was used to decorate drinking cups in Rome. Wedding ring quilts are highly popular and make wonderful wedding gifts. If you're looking for a gift to please an engaged couple, you can't go wrong with a wedding quilt. Bedding always makes a significant gift for the bride and groom, and a quilt with coordinating Egyptian cotton sheets can be even better. View All Quilts Back to Guides Directory View All Quilts

Bed Sheet Thread Count Fact Sheet
The thread count of bed sheets refers to the number of threads per square inch of fabric. For example, if a square inch of fabric in a 300-thread count sheet with a standard weave were examined closely, 150 vertical threads and 150 horizontal threads would be counted, for a sum total of 300.
