So, After we bought our brand new bed I convinced my hubby that we need new sheets and we went to the store we couldn't even find 1000 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets... but we did find 700tc but not Egyptian cotton for the same price we bought these at! My hubby was like what ever you want but he didn't understand why I wanted Egyptian cotton or such a high thread count, Well after one night in these sheets and he was telling his guy friends about it. Its like sleeping in the softest of soft. I love these sheets!! The Color is so Deep and Rich!! They also arrived 2 days after I bought them online!!
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? I bought the crimson, it was so deep and rich in color and after 3 washes still looks as the day I received it!!
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. Amazing Quality!! I cant believe we got this at such a steal!
- How accurate was the on site description of the product? Very accurate!!!
I am very disappointed with these sheets. For the money, they should wear better. After one wash, the header on the top sheet frayed and so did the edge on one of the pillowcases. I washed them alone too. You pay a quality price for low quality sheets. I wish I could return them.
Previous to buying these sheets, I had only slept on 800tc. AFTER buying these sheets, I will never sleep on a thread count less than 1000 again! When it's time for me to go to bed, I literally tell people that I am "retiring to my 'womb'" because that's how comfortable they are (like momma's womb... lol). The price is amazing (I paid nearly $500 for my 800tc Egyptian sheets) so for the price and quality, they are WELL worth it! I will be buying a few more sets of these sheets. They are thick and sturdy and soooo soft after the first couple of washings. If you want complete comfort at a very affordable price, these sheets are for you!! I figure if I am going to spend my life working and sleeping, at least one of those activities should be a heavenly experience (and my job isn't very heavenly). You won't be disappointed!!
I know sheets. I am a professional Interior Designer. Though it does not say in the description, these are SINGLE PLY. Which means they're top quality. Look up 'single ply' to learn more... I bought 3 sets hoping they were single ply- SOOOO worth the risk. They are stiff before washing (which is good) and VERY soft after the wash. LOVE IT!!! The price is EXCELLENT!!! BUY THEM! They will last a life time.
I don't put too much stock in thread count, all I know is that the higher the better, and I like Egyptian Cotton better than Sateen. I don't know why, I just do. So, the wife and I ordered these sheets, and let me tell you something. These sheets are fantastic. Like sleeping in a pillow. They are VERY thick, which is perfect for these Sprinter (Spring/Winter get it?!?) nights that we are having this year. We'll have to see about Summer. As of now, we've washed them a couple of times, and the threads are holding up well, and they are doing great!
These sheets are AWFUL!!! The fabric itself feels a lot like the tarp they use to make tents. (I am NOT kidding!!) These sheets are so thick and heavy I can't imagine being comfortable sleeping in them. Then the first time I washed them the fabric literally shredded. Shredded!! Please save yourself the headaches and purchase one of the other lovely sets of sheets available. You'll be SO glad you did!!
While the thickness and feel of the fabric is good (not excellent), the product quality is very poor. The fitted sheet does not fit well over the mattress and won't stay put. The seam on one of the corners is already coming unsewn and/or shredding. After being washed, the hem on the top sheet is completely buckled and very evident the tucks (detailing on the hem) are not sewn on the straight edge. I would definitely NOT recommend these to anyone.
I figured 1000 count sheets would be luscious to sleep in. They are definitely not. They are so thick...they're like big tarps....I have washed them three times now, hoping they would soften up and conform, but they do not. The hand feels good if you wipe the fabric in one direction, the other direction actually feels rough... So unhappy with my $$$. purchase. Should have sent them back, but of course I threw out all the wrappers, etc.. and washed them... so now I'm stuck with them. What I have learned is more is not better....stick with 500/600/800 thread count sheets.
I've learned through painful experience to wash my sheets before I write a review. These were nice enough out of the package, but shrunk significantly, even washing in cold water and being sure to pull directly out of the dryer. The fitted sheet and pillow case are fine, but the flat sheet has bare inches left to tuck in. The sheets also aren't quite as silky as I would expect for 1000 thread count. Bottom line is they're okay for the price, but not worth any kind of raves.
I somehow got everyone in my family addicted to Egyptian cotton 1000 TC sheets. My daughter''s sheets lasted about 8 years, and she decided she needed a different color. My sheets are still fine and dandy after 9 years, not a worn spot on them. Well my daughter looked all over and could only afford locally some Sheets with 650 TC, and her husband absolutely refused to get them. IF he couldn't have his egyptian cotton 1000TC, he'd stick with the old sheets. I found these on Overstock and read the reviews and everybody seemed to love them. So I bought them and my daughter and her husband LOVE them. They are again sold on the only sheets they ever want are Egyptian cotton 1000 TC.
Upon arrival, I pulled the sheets out of the package and inspected them. They had a nice thickness to them and I anticipated they would break in well. I checked all the seams which seemed sturdy. I immediately washed them on delicate cycle and was shocked to discover a four inch tear in the pocket seam when I took them out of the dryer. Save your money.
Egyptian Cotton 1000 Thread Count Solid Full/ Queen-size Oversized Sheet Set These sheets are good for the price if you get them when they are on sale. Otherwise I would look for a better quality. They arrived in excellent condition, then needed to be washed in order to break them in, otherwise they feel hard right outside the packaging. The stitching is ok, some of the stitching has already started to come out and I haven't even had them for a month. Overall these are great for the sale price, they get softer as they get washed and break in, they don't feel like 1000 thread count right out of the box. Overstock processed and shipped them fast as always. I would recommend them if you are looking for a good quality sheet set, but not great.
I dont know if its just the way I do laundry, but the sheets are wrinkly out of the dryer, even with liquid softner in the wash and a cool down mode at the end of the dry. Stretching them out on the bed doesnt unwrinkle them. As much as I want unwrinkled sheets, I'm not going to waste time & energy ironing them after the wash every week. Also, like another set of high thread count sheets I bought from Overstock, these are softer on one side than the other. I'm not sure if that is by design, and if so I wish it would say that on the product page. Overall, the sheets are thick and comfy, but I would only recommend to a friend conditionally, with this full disclosure.
The weight of these sheets is wonderful. Very heavy, solid and thick. But... yes there is always a 'but', the bottom sheet had a seam that was not stitched properly. I sew, so it was easy to fix, but luckily I found it before I washed them. Had I washed them without repair, it would have frayed. Also, I don't think they are as soft as my 600 count. BUT I anticipate this will change with repeated washings. They have improved in softness with two washings. Also, they wrinkle-take them out of the dryer immediately and put on the bed or fold. For the money they are a good value. I you like a weighty sheets, these are for you. I got the gold and the color is fabulous.
The sheet set arrived quickly. I laundered them prior to using as suggested. They came out beautifully, and the color stayed true. They are heavy because of the high thread count, but that is a plus to me. I really hate thin, slippery sheets. These feel very crisp and luxurious . I ordered the burgundy color and it is beautiful. There is a rich sheen to the fabric, but it's not slippery. If they continue to perform as they have since I purchased them, I'll be delighted.
I read all the reviews on these sheets and was so excited when I ordered these sheets. I could not wait to get them. When they arrived, I washed them (as directed) and put them on my bed. They were stiff and felt like a rough- NOT soft at all. I tried sleeping in them and kept waking up all night. These sheets were NOT what I expected and would return them but can't anymore. So disappointed. I own less expensive sheets that feels a lot better and softer. I would not recommend these sheets to anyone!
Not sure if i simply received a bad set or what. Bottom sheet started "pilling" after less than two weeks of use. My old set of sheets was the same product and lasted 3 years without any pilling at all. Unfortunately this one problem makes the sheets unbearable to sleep on, hence the poor rating. They were great the first week or so.
I've had these sheets for more than a year now, and I love then more each time I wash them. This isn't the first set of them I've bought and it certainly won't be the last. They are thick but not heavy, soft and silky. Everything a luxury sheet set should be. After a year of washing, they are true to color, and there is no shrinking stretching or pilling. The only thing I would recommend is too get an additional set of matching pillowcases to accompany them.
