After much research, I crossed my fingers and ordered this thing with the hope it would cure my ills,and fix my overly firm mattress. Memory foam does not provide the solid resistance to cushion pressure points like the latex. Some people think the memory foam feels better initially, but it won't do as well, inch for inch as latex. I placed this topper on a very firm mattress that sits on slats with no box spring. It is a very comfortable combination, not too soft, and not too firm, just right. If you like a very cushy mattress it might not be for you but if you like a somewhat soft yet firm feel I would highly recommend this topper. It has the feel of a very expensive mattress. Fabulous, wonderful, and I didn't experience any weird smells. It is so comfortable, I have a foam mattress under it from Overstock as well that is firmer and not as thick as advertised but this topper more than makes up for it. Yes it could rip, be careful, it is hot so I plan to put a really thick mattress cover on it, but the comfort! No more inner spring mattress for me ever! I have had it for months and it looks and feels brand new. Excellent quality.

I already have a latex mattress and another latex mattress topper -- a 3 incher. So, I am familiar with latex. Good latex is relatively resistant to taking body impressions. It gives under pressure and bounces back into shape when the pressure is off. That's one of the reasons I like it. My 3 inch topper has been slept on almost every night for 6 years and still does not show body impressions. Unfortunately, my husband and I slept on the E.C.O. 2-inch Luxury Latex King Mattress Topper for three nights and there were "valleys" where we slept and a noticeable "hill" in the middle of the bed. My husband and I are not large people -- probably a bit smaller than average. So this was both surprising and disappointing. I bought this topper because the other reviews were uniformly great. Now I wonder whether I got a defective topper or whether the other reviewers just didn't know what to expect from quality latex.

We bought a king size (Eastern) to match our bed, and were a little concerned that it drooped off the sides and the end. When our cover arrived (also on Overstock, recommended) it wouldn't fit without stuffing it in and causing lumps. We finally resorted to a bread knife, and cut a full four inches off the end of the topper, maybe two or three of the side. Not too big a deal, although we did have bits of latex to vacuum up. Then it fit easily into the cover, and although it's been less than a week, very happy so far: A few months ago we'd changed mattresses because my wife's lower back needed something firmer, but then I started getting mid-back issues from it being too hard for a side sleeper. With this on top of our very firm mattress, we're getting support plus "conformance"/comfort.

Love topper. Very comfortable. You don't sink in like in memory foam but it is really soft and comfy. Very slight odor but it went away quickly. I have had memory foam toppers that never lose the odor. I put this topper under a fitted mattress pad and it stays in place wonderfully. Highly recommend.

This is my 2nd. of these latex toppers to purchase. Great for the price. A little firm but softens over time. Would recommend to anyone seeking relief for their back.

If you know the comfort and value of latex, this is the purchase you want to make. An older mattress has become absolutely heavenly (and renewed) with this topper!

We have struggled with getting a comfortable nights sleep for some time. The pillowtop mattresses are too soft for me. We bought an expensive "firm" mattress thinking that this would give me the support I needed for my back but this proved to be very uncomfortable. We tried a memory foam topper (not an expensive one) but this didn't help much. I did a little research and heard good reviews on latex. This topper is great. It gives us the softness we need to relieve pressure points but not too soft. I'm so glad we got it instead of spending money on another expensive mattress.

We had one before and loved it, even though we have an expensive mattress, they all wear down eventually and it make ALL the difference in the world. My husband has a bad back and it helped him sleep again. The 100% latex is the way to go, don't buy partial latex, it lasts forever and doesn't smell bad when you open the package! Want a good nites sleep, invest in one! :)

Received quickly, great pad! Was very careful pulling out of packaging -other reviews of similar product speak to fragility- and setup was very fast. Couldn't detect an odor like other similar items. Glad I got the 2" thick pad - cost little extra but worth every penny. Has taken our 10-year old pillow top innerspring mattress and given it a new lease on life. Be sure to read reviews of latex vs memory foam if you haven't already.Recommended

This is excellent. Our memory foam topper was on its last legs, not to mention way too hot. I looked everywhere online and this is by far the best deal on a good quality latex topper. No smell, ready to use pretty much right away, extremely comfortable.

I have the King size Latex topper. It's a delicate material, yet very heavy, so handle with care when moving it around-always have two people so as not to pull the latex apart. I was bummed a 3 inch 100% latex topper wasn't available, but was very, very pleased with the thickness of the 2 inch topper when I open up the package. I am 116 lbs and hubby is 180 lbs and we have the topper on the floor over a yoga mat + a basic twin sized foam mat you see in Hawaii that folds into 3 sections. I only have a yoga mat under my portion of the mattress topper & it's good enough for me. If I got the basic foam mat also underneath me, it would be even more luxurious with the latex topper on top. The scent from the topper first smelled like a banana dessert. Now it doesn't smell like that as much as just somewhat of a chemical smell (i only smell it when my face is on the sheet), but with the fan on and the window open I don't notice it (I am very sensitive to smells). I plan to get a mattess encasement in which to put the topper to protect the topper and to end smells (and prevent dust build-up) when I can't open the window if it's raining. It's only been a couple of weeks of use so the smell should dissipate eventually. Because the king size topper is so heavy due to it's size I may cut it down the middle so I can move each half around more easily as I like to pick everything off the floor to wipe down our wood flooring to get it dust-free.

LOVE this mattress topper! Have been shopping for several months and considered some of the very expensive brands ($600-$1200). So glad I took a chance on this. Am usually very happy with what I buy from Overstock. Was concerned about it only being 2-inches, but it's perfect. We've got a very nice but very hard mattress and this has made our bed SO incredibly comfortable. Highly recommended. So happy, that we bought one for another bed too. Will probably be buying a 3rd for our guest bed. You can put it on the bed right out of the package - no overpowering smell like with the memory foam. Great deal, shipped very quickly and really, really happy with the purchase!

the concept of the holes for airation is good, but a majority of the hole-edges were stiff, almost melted, I put a mattress pad over the top so it's not noticealble, but I think we'll just go back to the memory foam

This is just what I needed for my back! I feel like I am floating and all the pressure points are gone! I have degenerative disc disease and highly recommend for those who have back issues. I got the wool topper too and it compliments this very well!

May just be my preference but I found the mattress pad far too hard and woke up with circulation cut off in my arm as I am a side seeper. Quality of the product was very good and if it was softer, I would have kept the item

Was concerned that this product would be dusty or smell of diesel, but it was wrapped up in a liner, and was perfectly clean and just like it was described. I'm really happy about it and was totally worth the money. The thickness was just right. You cant go wrong with this product.

I bought this topper b/c I have a bed that's made entirely out of foam and I get extremely hot sleeping on it. I have five mattress pads and an egg crate and I still get hot (had no idea I was such a hot sleeper until we bought this bed). Anyway, I read that latex foam was not as warm to sleep on compared to memory foam so I purchased this hoping that the it would alleviate the getting hot problem. While it's not as hot as sleeping on memory foam I still find it warm to sleep on and I literally have to move my whole body out of the crater I've created when I start to get warm. The only reason I'm undecided is that we're still in the time period between the heat and air conditioning so I don't know if I'm just hot b/c of the outside temperature and humidity right now or it it's b/c of the bed. Aside from the heat problem and the small valleys I feel happen I find it very comfortable!
