I hate to admit that my pooches like to sleep with me, but that's the truth. After buying a rather expensive down-filled duvet, it became apparent that I needed a duvet cover, sooner rather than later. After much online searching, I arrived at Overstock.com and found the perfect one. For the price I wasn't expecting what I got, which is a fabulous high thread count cover. When I fluff that baby up and snuggle down under that duvet cover, I feel like a princess! The high thread count is absolutely wonderful and is worth every penny and more. I will be going to Overstock.com first, when I am looking for something special.

This duvet cover is a great value, and of good quality. The weight of the cotton and the high-ish thread count make for a very soft sateen weave, which is great to sleep under. The quality of the stitching is not amazing, and there are little threads peeking out all over, so we'll see how the product holds up over the long haul. The light blue cover is lovely.

Duvet cover is soft. Has ties in each corner to hold comforter in place which is nice. Not a high thread count (you can see the threads like a 200-300 TC), but maybe that's the way it is w/ flannel.

the duvet cover is a beautiful chocolate brown. out of the washer it feels like about a 200 thread count cover (sand paper). the buttons come undone constantly. but it's very pretty. will keep it in hopes of breaking it in more....would not have purchased it having known this. the 400 thread count duvet covers on this site are slightly more expensive but well worth it.

The duvet feels more like a 200 thread count, than the 530. The fabric is very thin, so I will use the duvet mostly in the summertime. \

When I saw the picture for this set, I was really drawn in by the print and colors. As others have said, the picture is spot-on. I was a little concerned that I was taking a shot in the dark since no thread count was listed. I also ordered with it a set of 400 thread count sheets. The duvet set is definitely not as high as the 400 TC sheets. If I had to guess, it is about 200. It's not bad, but you can certainly tell the fabric isn't as soft as the sheets. Despite that fact, I still think it looks great and I'm satisfied. My bedroom has a lot of old wood features and I bought this to modernize the room a little bit - it definitely did the trick. One other note - I purchased the king size duvet set and also bought a king size down comforter from overstock. I don't know if it's the comforter or the duvet cover, but the duvet cover is much bigger than the comforter - there is a few inches of excess fabric on either side. Something to consider...

Nice duvet although after I washed it it felt more like 200 thread count fabric. Holds wrinkles longer than I wish it did but still looks nice. Priced appropriately.

Colors are true to the picture. The 200 thread count is the only drawback but worth the price paid. It's a bit modern but not too much. Perfect for my guest room.

I was excited about the duvet cover being "wrinkle resistant" and when it arrived it was very soft in the package. Had a musty smell so I decided to wash it before use. Disappointed because they went in feeling like a 400 count sheet and now feel like a 200 count sheet that's really wrinkled. Still, a good value - just don't expect luxury.

You'd be hard pressed to find a bedding set with a duvet cover, two shams and three decorative pillows for this price. The decorative pillows are gorgeous. It's only 200 thread count so it makes for basic, casual bedding. The colors are a not as muted as the picture seems (blue is a little brighter in real life). I bought a basic white comforter in addition to this and it fit inside the duvet cover just fine. I definitely recommend a duvet cover set instead of purchasing the regular comforter or quilt set. You can customize how warm or heavy you want it to be by purchasing separate white comforters to put inside of it. It is an extra cost to do this but you can fill it according to the season. It's also easier to put a duvet cover in a washing machine than stuffing a whole comforter in there.

I bought this burgundy duvet cover, a 630 thread count Egyptian cotton sheet, and another 600 thread count Egyptian cotton sheet from overstock. Of the three, this one feels like its in a whole new class of smoothness. This duvet cover is smoother than any sheet/duvet cover I have ever felt, there are no stripes on it, the brand is Luxor, the color looks like the burgundy in the pic, and the shams have a crease where the pillow inserts in middle of the sheet on one side. Alot of people here are complaining of the shams, I don't see anything wrong with them. As for the actual duvet cover... Wow!!! It feels like a luxurious satin sheet, but has the crispness and coolness of a high quality cotton. So good infact I went to a department store to feel other 600 count sheets to confirm the legitmacy of my other purchases. Nothing in the store, except the the fancy 200 dollar 1000 thread counts felt quite as nice as these. This is a must buy, I have no idea where these other reviewers are getting their information or what sheet they received. All I know is I purchased 3 sheets/duvet covers at one time from overstock and this one could run smoothness circles around the other two.

Nice duvet, especially for the money - great value. I thought it would be a little thicker...it is thin like a sheet but that ended up being okay. The only downside is that it wrinkles pretty easily. Usually that happens up at the top though and that gets covered by the folded down sheet when you make the bed so not bad. Surprisingly very soft & smooth for a 200 Thread Count cover! It feels like my sateen sheets which I love. Mine is white and it was crisp white with not a mark or yellowing. It is simple and nice. If you're not looking for fancy and just need a well priced nice duvet - this is your best bet!

When I received the duvet cover I found a spot of glue with paper stuck to it under the packaging. It was hidden from view until I took the product paper off. I couldn't peel it off, but decided to try the duvet on the comforter and then wash it. The cover was too big for my queen size comforter and the 650 count was very heavy. That is my fault, and in the future will purchase less thread count. The material was rich, but so heavy that it added too much weight to the comforter. I plan to return it and purchase another that is lighter.

I absolutely love this duvet set. It has a very soft feel to it. Although its only 200 thread count the quality of the fabric is exceptional. The printed fabric looks gorgeous and expensive. Its definitely worth the money.

i have been looking for a grey duvet for 6 months and originally bought a nicole miller that was 10times the price of this but this one is much nicer. the color is absolutely beautiful and much nicer than the picture. it's a smoky silvery grey. i have 620 thread count sheets under them and this duvet is of the same quality as my sheets. the duvet has a nice sateen look to it. it's absolutely beautiful and exactly what i was looking for and it does come with the shams that have the flat ruffle around it and not just a pillow cover. great quality!

I had been looking for a duvet set with high thread count so that we could sleep under the down comforter without needing a top sheet and these duvet covers fit the bill. I bought two sets, the dark red and the olive green. I then went to my local fabric store and bought yardage of 100% cotton fabric print which has both colors in it and plan to cover all the random pillows on the bed. The product is very smooth. I did wash it before using the first time and it did require light ironing, but it is 100% cotton so that isn't unexpected. An excellent purchase!

Love the duvet cover. Washed it and it works well. I do like how the buttons go across the full bottom to make it easy to put in comforter. Brown is nice and rich. Tone on tone stripe on one side, and plain on the other. Great deal and quality for under $30. Soft and rich. May not be as nice as some ultra luxury, but definately worth it. I have up to 500tc sheets and am very happy with this thread count in the duvet as well.

I am very disappointed with the Egyptian Cotton 600 Thread Count Duvet Cover. I bought it as a gift for an older male family member. I read the description and reviews carefully, and nothing indicated it would be anything but a nice heavy quality cotton. It arrived while we were away on vacation. Imagine my surprise when we returned, and I saw the duvet on his bed shimmering in the lamplight! It is a very feminine texture not at all suitable to him. He said it is like sleeping under a parachute. Unfortunately, he discarded all of the shipping materials so I can not return it. This was my first Overstock.com purchase, and likely my last.

Like the title says, what you pay for is what you get. $** some dollars for a king size duvet... After 1 wash all the little piles (like a sweater would get overtime) is so overwhelming it is hard to get comfortable while sleeping under it. Do yourself the favor, spend the extra $**-$** for a higher thread count and quality.

I was concerned about the thread count and price. Also, some of the negative reviews. I ordered the white full and it fit well on a full down blanket (not a comforter). Laundered well, shames needed pressing. I'm using it under a quilt in a spare bedroom.
Changing the look of your whole bedroom is easy when you use a duvet cover. Sometimes referred to as comforter covers, they are the best thing you'll find to keep your comforter or duvet stylish as well as clean. Here's what you need to know when you're shopping for one.
Warm in the winter and cool in the summer, down comforters offer the ultimate in comfort and insulation. Down is the soft, fluffy growth found under the outer layer of breast feathers on geese and ducks, insulating them from extreme temperatures. Down is lighter and more flexible than feathers, which is why it's so popular for use in down bedding. When used to fill comforters, it gives you the ultimate in year-round comfort. Two major considerations when purchasing a down comforter are content and construction. The Federal Trade Commission has standards set that specify labeling procedures for products that contain down. If the label of a down comforter reads 100 percent down, the comforter must contain down feathers exclusively. The same is true if the label reads pure down or all down. Most down comforters are made with goose down, but some may include down feathers from other species of fowl. Look below to learn how to buy a down comforter.
