This Duvet set from Luxor treasures is thick, cool, soft and crisp. Exactly what I wanted and expected of high thread count Egyptian cotton. I prefer a crisp feel over the silky touch of sateen weave, and these sheets deliver. I bought the taupe. It's a true taupe. Love them, and highly recommend this Duvet set and the sheets as well. On another note, I purchased the 650 thread count from this same company Just two days before and was deeply disappointed as it did not have the cool touch of Egyptian cotton, nor 650 tc and they were silky, though not advertised as sateen. I was sure that the 1200 tc duvet and sheets sets I ordered from Luxor would also disappoint, and then they arrived and I sleep in heaven! its very odd that the same company produced such different qualities. I'm confounded. Never the less, both the sheets and duvet set Luxor Treasures produced are the perfect luxury, quality and genuine Egyptian high thread count cotton that I love to sleep in.

Bought a new extra warm duck down comforter from IKEA (highly recommended and terrific value!). This microfiber duvet cover is very soft and I've enjoyed it alot. Great value! I have some other duvets that are pure high count cotton but I actually prefer this one as it's easier to clean and lightweight, but does its job which is to just be a good envelope to the underlying comforter and a nice soft interface with the sleeper!

Really nice sheet; I prefer the old style cotton sheets that have some body and you know when they have been changed…these aren't all the way there but they are close. They don't have that silky feel of 1000 thread count sheets; more body, great feel…love them.

300 to 400 counts are my favorites, since is soft enough, but not stiff like some 1000. I still have it after around 4 years.

I ordered the King duvet cover in white - they are very high quality and nicely made. However they are very heavy which I did not expect.....I have never purchased 1000tc Egyptian cotton before so maybe it is always like that. I like a higher thread count for my linens but it's usually 500. Living in Southern California it doesn't get as cold at night as it does in other areas so the heaviness of the cover, even over a light weight comforter, makes me too hot. Also the pillow shams open on the end instead of the middle which gives them an uneven look on the bed. If you are looking for a heavier cotton then you will be happy with these. They will probably last for a very long time!

In addition to the color being incorrect and not matching our bedroom, the thread count of the cover allows the duvet slide around inside of the cover. Every nite the cover moves around and one of us ends up sleeping with just cover over top. Do not recommend this item.

I expected something much softer being that it is 1000 thread count.

I've never had 1000 thread count anything ^_^ this group is quality and comfort, and beautiful love the gold color (just like the picture) ready for spring I guess! they are perfect to me. After washing and giving them a quick steam iron (I'm a little obsessive with perfection) so soft and a bit on the heavy side but in a good way, what do you expect, they are 1000 threads you know! I'm tempted to get another set, they're very affordable for the high quality. Try them you'll be so glad you did.

I've had this set for five years and was only reminded to write a review because I needed another set to replace my bedding after I got blue pen marks on my duvet. Otherwise, it has held up over the years and over time the duvet cover has become softer too which is a nice plus. It has not pilled on me ever, nor does it look like it will anytime soon. At 650 thread count, this means the duvet cover will be more structured, crisp, and dense; however I like my duvet covers a bit denser, while I like my sheets a bit silkier, so these were perfect. For duvet covers, I highly recommend this set. I gave it four stars simply because I was going for a purple, ivory, and gold color scheme and it didn't really work out because the gold sheets are more of a yellow. However, I still kept it because of the quality. There are also some loose threads on the duvet covers, but I think that happens with any sheets - just cut them off!
A duvet cover can protect your comforter from dust, spills, and other dirt, but sometimes getting it on and keeping it in place can be tricky. If you've ever fought to get one onto the duvet or struggled to keep your duvet from slipping around in its cover, then you'll want to follow these tips for securing duvet covers . Keep Your Duvet in Place: Shop Duvet Covers ▸ Launder and dry the duvet cover. Take your freshly laundered duvet cover out of the dryer as soon as it's dry. Hold it by the corners and give it a few brisk shakes. This helps keep it from wrinkling. Read More
