I love down pillows, but when you have to use two pillow cases or wake up with your hair filled with feathers, *** for a set is just too much to pay! They should have either doubled the material or used a better quality material because I've sewn a set of cases over the pillows and I swear we still have down every now and then flying around! It's a good thing we aren't allergic! LOL

I am very particular about my pillow. I have slept on down pillows for years and my last one (of 5yrs) finally went away. I bought this pillow and after about a month of use, I am very pleased with it. It is just the right softness for me and I get a good nights sleep on it.

I bought this down comforter several months ago and it is pretty warm We keep the heat off at night so it gets down below 50 and it stays very warm under it and with a duvet it really makes this a good deal. Also I have not felt any feathers.

The product arrived in a timely fashion and its construction was fine. However, once out of its wrapping, I noticed a peculiar smell about it. Thinking that it might just need to air out, I hung it outside. Still smelly. Then I layered it with fabric softener sheets thinking that might help. Nope. Took it to a drycleaner to freshen up and they said nothing that they could do would make a difference. I now have a fairly expensive down comforter stuffed into a corner of my closet because it smells too much to keep it on my bed. This comforter is going to end up being a very expensive donation to a homeless shelter.

I was looking for a very soft down pillow as an "extra" pillow, not as the main head support. This is a very nice pillow, very soft, definitely down filled. Still, it wound up being a little more full than what I was looking for. But we're keeping it and my husband will use it because it's so nice and a good price.

After receiving the comforter, summer came and so we tucked it away. Once the weather started to chill we brought it out and found feathers everywhere! All over our bed, our clothes, our kids, etc. No matter what we did, the blanket shed like crazy. It was outside of the return time but Overstock offered us a small credit.

The pillows had a great fill count and the 400 thread count cases keeps the pillows in as new condition. They are a tiny bit firm but perfect for me.

After ordering three types of ostensibly "down" pillows from three companies, these were the ONLY pillows that were soft (yet appropriately firm) and clearly down. One can tell by feeling the exterior of the pillow if it isn't down, and I immediately knew that these were as described on Overstock. These pillows are wonderful, and I would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat! Furthermore, they are priced well below what they are worth. Thank you!!!

Yes I would recommend this pillow, the quality is excellent, stays fluffed up. For me though I am having THR surgery next week it was too bulky and big. I am 5.2" If my hips wouldn't hurt so bad I would love it! My son was glad to take it. It is not a light pillow!!

Great ... comfy.. relatively warm. As others have said, it isn't a super warm 10" fluffy comforter - but it is not meant to be. Therefore, it is a nice solid value 5-star comforter... So ... why 3 stars? Because this thing sheds feathers like a German Shepherd in a late Texan spring. While the comforter has lasted for a few years - always in a duvet - I guess the shell is not solid enough to hold in the runaways... Am I the only reviewer experiencing this? I have had several down comforters, but never before did I vacuum the bedspread .... more than the bedroom carpet! Every day, there are little feather runaways - as a result, the duvet always looks like it needs a serious dusting! Makes a pass with a sticky hair remover roller an essential task if company is a-comin'! (Actually a couple passes!) Usually it is is just the "large snowflake" look ... but every day there are 1-2 full-size feathers hollering a little Who..."I am free!" At least it is still comfy - if not annoying - or it would be a goner ... So... for me ... I would say only get if you are going with a white duvet cover.

For several years I used foam pillows on my bed which I found lost their shape and support rather quickly. I decided to try feather pillows and was thrilled at the price of the feather pillows at Overstock. These pillows are wonderful because they keep their shape and provide great support for my head and upper body. I am so glad I bought these pillows and know I will buy others in the future.

I received this comforter as a gift for christmas, the bag the comforter came in was very torn up but I assumed that this had nothing to do with the product itself. The actual comforter, while seemingly like very good quality, almost immediately started leaking/shedding feathers everywhere. With no option from Overstock to replace or refund the comforter, I am stuck with it shedding everywhere, and its now in a bag under my bed.
Warm and incredibly soft, down comforters are the height of luxurious bedding. Like all other bedding, down comforters can range from inexpensive to costly. The proof is in the filling. Inexpensive down comforters are filled with a combination of down and polyester or down and feathers. The best down comforters, which are usually also the most expensive, are full of pure, thick down. Take a look below to learn the best fills for down comforters. Hungarian goose down: Hungarian goose down is considered the most luxurious type of down. These extreme cold-weather birds have very thick, almost odorless tufts of down at the base of their feathers. This heavy, long-lasting down is most often used in comforters with a fill rating of 800, which means they can keep a person warm even in cold conditions. Eiderdown: Eiderdown is harvested by hand from the abandoned nests of Eider ducks, which pluck the down from their own backs and use it to cover their eggs. Eider ducks live in cold climates, so their down is thick and heavy. It is used in high-quality comforters with a fill rating of between 700 and 800. Eider duck down is the only type of duck down used in high-quality comforters. All other duck down is usually considered too smelly (and some duck down has tiny barbs) and is used in much less expensive comforters. Grey and white goose down: Grey goose down is used in dark comforters due it its grey color, but it is the same as white goose down in all other ways. Grey and white goose down, which is usually harvested from European or Chinese geese, is the most popular type of down used in middle-price-range pure down comforters. These comforters usually have a fill rating of 600 and above. Hypodown: Hypodown is a mixture of white goose down and milkweed. This all-natural filling is hypoallergenic and much more durable than pure down comforters. While pure down is still considered to be the preferable fill for comforters by most people, hypodown is gaining popularity with consumers who want a longer lasting product without synthetic fills. The white dress is the spring equivalent of the classic little black dress, a modern staple just waiting to be taken to the next level with the right accessories. Today's white dresses are fashioned in flowing, ultra-feminine styles and simple, straight cuts. Whether it is a formal dress, cocktail dress or a light summer dress, your white dress can be dressed up or down with the right accessories.
When summer rolls around, you will see all-white outfits on every runway. The look is fresh and fabulous, but it leaves many people wondering how to accessorize such a statement. If left unadorned, a white outfit can seem unpunctuated and airy, so it's important to ground the ensemble with a few select accessories. Rather than weighing a white outfit down with mismatched necklaces, bright bracelets and chunky rings, choose a few pieces of jewelry for a cool summer outfit.

Out of all the bedding made, quilts may be the most diverse. Quilts are produced in all kinds of colors, patterns, sizes, styles and types. If you're looking for a quilt but don't know where to start, take a look at the popular types of quilts below to learn more about this beautiful kind of bedding. Amish quilts: These beautiful quilts reflect the Amish way of living and feature solid colors, deep hues, geometric patterns and very little embellishment. Amish quilts contain the highest quality of construction and stitching, and, sometimes, the wonderful stitch patterns (scrolls, feathers) contrast with the simple backgrounds of their quilts. Applique quilts: These quilts use a French needlework technique where fabric pieces are sewn onto another piece of material to create a design. Applique is used extensively in the quilting process and is not to be confused with patchwork. Patchwork pieces are joined together; applique is sewn on top of the whole piece. Baltimore album quilts: Baltimore album quilts came from Maryland in the early 1800s. Each block in the design of these quilts is appliqued differently, often in ornate floral patterns. Bangladeshi quilts: These quilts are made with layers of Saree cloth. Saree cloth is silk cloth used by women of India to wrap and fold around the body as a garment. The cloth is usually 40 to 60 inches wide by 6 yards long. These quilts are used as bedding or as decorative pieces. Bargello quilts: Bargello quilts are created with offset squares in an up-and-down geometric "V" pattern. The small squares of different fabrics and the colorful designs make these quilts true works of art. Hawaiian quilts: Hawaiian quilts are not pieced, and they usually showcase a large, symmetrical applique in the center of the quilt. Most often the background is white or another solid color. Patchwork quilts: Patchwork quilts are constructed of many small pieces of fabric which are put together in an improvised or irregular pattern. This is a well-known quilt style, and examples of historical patchwork quilts are found in many museums. Ralli quilts: Ralli quilts, sometimes known as rilli quilts, are traditional quilts made in India or Pakistan. There is an abundance of embroidery as well as applique on the patchwork patterns. Star quilts: Star quilts are created with a large star shape, or several star shapes, dominating the pattern. Wedding ring quilts: Wedding ring quilts are crafted in a design of interlocking rings. This pattern goes far back in history: in the fourth century it was used to decorate drinking cups in Rome. Wedding ring quilts are highly popular and make wonderful wedding gifts. If you're looking for a gift to please an engaged couple, you can't go wrong with a wedding quilt. Bedding always makes a significant gift for the bride and groom, and a quilt with coordinating Egyptian cotton sheets can be even better. View All Quilts Back to Guides Directory View All Quilts
