First, it's not what it says it is. If you actually read the label on the product you'll see that it is up to 75% down ! What kind of down no one is going to say. It's very thin and there isn't much filler in it. Hence it's heating capabilities are low. The light shines right through this thing. Nowhere is it to be found on the eddie bauer website. Probably it's a discontinued item and for good reason.

This comforter is heavenly. I'm excited to have it in my guest room. If it's rated for 15-year use on an every day basis, it should last forever in my guest room. :)

It very well be that the same company that makes the Eddie Bauer comforters also makes this one, but the brand name on the one that I received is Tommy Bahama. This blanket is very warm, a little too warm for me, but if you are cold blooded it would be fine. It does seem well made. I am currently in the market for a less warm one. I am over the Overstock bait and switch tactics that seem to prevalent. I also ordered sheets (ones that I had ordered before) and the quality of the sheets are now total crap. Because I have already reviewed them (very highly might I add,) I can not add a new review or even edit my old one. Now that I know that Overstock Changes the quality while keeping the old reviews and that they take an order for one brand and sends another, I am just over giving them my money. Take everything that they say with a grain of salt.

They are wonderfully warm light well made with high quality cotton covers that are crinkly . The goose down never shifts and they fluff up beautifully. I've used them all winter in Boston and have never been cold at night though I keep my rm temp at 60ºF. I am more than pleased with these comforters they are expensive but top shelf.

Found this Eddie Bauer comforter at a great price. It is just what I was looking for.

These pillows far exceeded my expectations. Excellent quality as one would expect from Eddie Bauer, very happy I purchased these pillows.

I wanted a quality feather down pillow that I could wash that wasn't too pricey. These Eddie Bauer euro pillows are perfect. They're plump, and do not flatten to nothing like some feather pillows do. They are on my sofa, and I love them. I highly recommend.

Upon appearance I thought the comforter would be much softer however, the 600 thread count was a little misleading. This is my second comforter, and in comparison with a 400 thread count eddie bauer Goose down this one is much more rough. Although the fabric is a bit tougher than others this comforter makes for a warm night. This does me no good living in California. Overall, I'm thinking about returning this one for a softer one... or, I'll just get a duvet cover that's soft.

I purchased this product due to all the rave reviews and I was so disappointed. The topper was not very fluffy and you could feel the feathers poking out. I ended up returning it and buying the Eddie Bauer one and I am thrilled with it.

Everything I would expect from a comforter from Eddie Bauer! Great durability, warmth and fluffed right after I put it in the dryer. Love the fact that it can be machine washed!

I wondered about buying a pillow online, would it be too soft or to hard? These pillows are great, I am a back and side sleeper and the support on my neck it perfect.

We got this comforter because of its large size so that it would cover our pillow top mattress. After one month there were little feathers everywhere!!! Needless to say we had to go buy another. Total waste of money.

Was looking for a new comforter for our also new king size bed. This comforter is fabulous! Just as excellent as the old Eddie Bauer comforter it replaced. Warm, but not heavy. Will be fantastic in all 4 seasons in PA.

I ordered the king size in this 1000 count down pillow. When it arrived (promptly), there was NO down odor and the pillow was zippered into a nice bag such as comforters will come in. I was prepared for a fairly smooshy down pillow, as all of my other ones have been (except for the feather and down 50 percent each and they are hard) but was pleasantly surprised to find that this pillow, although nice and soft, actually had a firmness about it due, I suppose, to the very large amount of white goose down in the pillow.Being a king size, this was a lot of down for the price! I am extremely pleased with my pillow - and I am very particular. This is better than my Eddie Bauer down pillows I've tried and the Cuddledown ones and the pricey department store 100 dollar plus down pillows! I've ordered from LLBean and other catalogs carrying down pillows. There is just no comparison. If you think a down pillow cannot possibly be anywhere near "firm", then you must try this one.

I am replacing a 10 year old Eddie Bauer down comforter with this one. Its nice. Its a bit wider than my existing comforter which is nice. Its covering is soft, smooth and has an attractive strip pattern. Its filling is enough but certainly not lofty. So its an above average cover with a very average filling - again its just nice. I am keeping it as my lofty Eddie B comforter is 10 years old but it doesn't inspire the 'love' I had for my old blankey.

This comforter is great and looks great on the bed. It is very fluffy and large enough to cover my pillowtop (I was afraid it was going to be too short on the sides, but it wasn't). I will admit, this comforter is very warm. But, in the middle of the night in Michigan - especially in winter - that's what I was looking for. Might have to switch it out in the winter though... I switched this time from an older Eddie Bauer down comforter and this one is much better. No feathers leaking, nice big squares and much warmer.

These pillows are a steal at this price. I was looking to replace some of my old Eddie Bauer down pillows that I've had for years, but I was unhappy at their high prices and limited choices. I looked around and found these. I am a serious pillow person. I have 6 to 8 on my bed, and I read in bed most nights. I also take a pillow while travelling because a bad hotel pillow can ruin my sleep. This is a GOOD pillow: Medium firm, with a good loft, yet your head can sink in. When they arrived I was a bit worried because there were down bits around the outside when I took the covers off the wash, but I haven't had any problems with the down or feathers leaking. The covers are a nice bonus, and they make slipping these into pillowcases a breeze. I'm ordering a few more sets. Highly recommend these.

I was introduced to feather beds during a holiday job stint at Eddie Bauer many years ago. This featherbed is absolutely, hands down, very luxurious and well made. I ordered a cover for it as well, but returned it, as this featherbed, barely has anything leaking out, which was not the case with featherbeds I have had in the past. What I really like is that it completely covers the top of the mattress. That too, is not always the case. I fluff it when I change the sheets, which is what you do anyway with a featherbed, but even at that time, I don't really have to. I consider myself an expert on these having sold them and use one all the time myself, year round. The other big plus, is the price. Hands down, the best. For the investment and the length of time that you can use a featherbed, it is the best value for the money I have seen for a very long time.

Last February, I purchased an earlier version of this comforter from Overstock.com. I was thrilled with it at first. But after a year of daily use, the comforter no longer fluffs, has lost a ton of feathers and simply is no longer warm like it used to be. I attempt to fluff it daily, but most of the down still winds up bulking at the bottom. I replaced an old Company store one with this, and I have to say that comforter was far better than this one in the long run. I'm contemplating returning to it, actuallly. My son has a older Eddie Bauer home one on his bed, and it's far fluffier and warmer than this one. It seemed great when I first got it. But in retrospect, I wasted my money, even if it wasn't all that expensive.
The use of down can be traced back to prehistoric times, but the goose down comforter that can be found on many beds today didn't gain popularity until much later. Ideal for keeping you warm during cold winter nights, goose down comforters are some of the most luxurious bedding pieces you can buy when you want to be surrounded by the comfort of down. This short history of the goose down comforter will bolster your knowledge of down and may convince you to invest in the luxury of a goose down comforter for yourself.
