After a year of use, despite attempts to keep it in pristine condition, this comforter is a lumpy mess. Every time I take off the cover to wash the duvet, a shower of feather erupts in my room. It blankets everything and I have to take a lint brush and a vaccuum cleaner to anything that was exposed. I have allergies and the fountain of feathers will induce a sneezing fit and water eyes, leaving me miserable every time I go to do laundry. On the plus side, it is very warm, great for wintery nights. Overall, it is an ordinary comforter and I wouldn't necessarily recommend this one in particular. If you find one cheaper, go for it; this one is as basic as they come.

I bought this allergy cover for my down comforter on a queen size bed, and it fits great. I put my duvet cover over that, and I love the way it feels! The allergy cover almost has a silky feel on the outside, and with my duvet over the allergy cover it actually feels better than before. I love it, and will buy it for all my beds. It is a great investment, in many ways!

I decided to replace my 5yr old down comforter from Macey's with this one because my Macey's one was getting old and shedding... As i have Allergies this would irritate them. huge huge huge mistake..... This comforter sheds feathers so bad. It's WORSE than my 5 year old Macey's Down Comforter. my bedroom is completely covered in feathers. Ironically about 5 months ago i bought a regular 300 count "feather" comforter from target king sized for thirty-five dollars it too shed and but not nearly as bad as this comforter did. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR HOUSE! My Bedroom looks like i slaughter a gaggle of geese in it, i hate hate hate this comforter.

I got this comforter a few days ago. This is my first down comforter and I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to use it because of allergies but so far I I've been fine. There has been a few little feathers that float off when I fluff it. Mine has a few areas with no feathers at all like another reviewer mentioned but even so, I love it. It is light and fluffy and I feel like I'm sleeping in a cloud. At least how I imagine a cloud would be.I used the dryer with no heat to fluff it and it did fluff more. I put it in a duvet cover today to protect the covering and I am thinking that that should help prevent allergies too. This is a great product especially for the price. I am still wanting to find a comforter like the one in the Sound of Music during the thunderstorm scene. That was so big and fluffy. But if it is a eiderdown like several people told me then there is no way I'll ever be able to afford one. Those ran into the $10,000 range. I'd be afraid to sleep under it.

We are having a cold summer here in Maine and needed to replace our non-down comforter. I have looked at down for years and always decided against it, as I have a feather allergy and have been told to never buy down. Well, this comforter is awesome! I do not have a problem with it. The loft keeps my husband as warm as he wants to be and keeps me cool - I do have a tendency to throw it off at night, but I'm a hot sleeper anyway. The fabric quality is excellent, the cost was beyond good and the value can't be beat. I have told all of my friends to get to overstock and order one for themselves! I would definitely buy this again and will continue to recommend it to anyone looking for a down comforter.

I've had this pillow for 4 years now and I just ordered 2 more. Great loft, no leaking down, high quality construction. Oh, and I have terrible allergies and I've never had an issue with this pillow- though many others. Just get it. It's the best pillow I've ever had. I love you, pillow.

These are big, fluffy pillows and they keep their shape (a huge plus!) The only issue you might have is if you have allergies (because of the down filling). But if you purchase a pillow protector, that should fix it.

I bought these pillows after a very comfortable night at a premier hotel. Was attempted to match the quality and comfort. BINGO!... These pillows rock!. They are soft, yet just the right firmness. The feathers (goose) have a great way of reconstituting and taking back original shape. I recommend this allergy friendly durable pillows.

I wanted something other than the cheap pillow forms you find at the craft stores. FYI these were less expensive.....we love them, I make Hawaiian quilt pillows and wanted to show them off. These pillows are awesome, cuddly and very comfortable. I was worried about feathers but we have had no allergy problems. Thanks Overstock, I would buy these again. Great deal and Great products.

I bought this comforter for my daughter. She loves how light and warm it is. The only problem with it has been that it caused her to have horrible allergies. This indicates that the down was not cleaned properly prior to being put into the comforter. We have solved the problem, however by putting the comforter into a dust mite proof cover.

I purchased the "Luxury-Sized Tattersol 500 Thread Count Down Comforter" to replace my old comforter. This comforter has met my expectations. It is warm and comfortable, I really like the fact that it is all cotton, I have many allergies and this comforter fits my needs. Thank you Kimyan

Just okay..... this is a very soft, light and comfortable comforter. The problem is that no matter how many times you wash it or fluff it in the dryer....... you get these white dust fibers from it. So either vacuum every two days or pass on this conforter. Funny thing, it is very comfortable so if you do not have allergies, give it a try.

The pros: I thought I couldn't have down bedding due to allergies, but I've had no allergy issues with this. It's soft, warm, and lovely. The cons: It's really more of a cream color, not true white as in the photo. The one I initially received had a dead-animal odor to it which I was unable to eliminate despite many days of airing it out. I then returned it to Overstock and received a replacement at no charge (and I returned my original one). This one had a smell also, but it was entirely different, more of a chemically-treated smell, and it was gone after a few days of airing out. So what had been a con became a pro: Overstock deserves kudos for its replacement policy.

I used this wonderful feather bed for a month but must now give it up because apparently I'm slightly allergic to it. I do fine with pillows, but I guess not with feather beds...so just a warning to those whose respiratory systems are easily disturbed. Otherwise, I love it!

This product is exactly what I wanted! Easy to remove the allergy cover and washes easy, the feathers dont shift too much during sleep and a good fluffing every other week keeps it fluffy and feels like sleeping on a cloud! LOVE LOVE LOVE this product! If you have a queen size bed, go with the king size just for a little overlay on the sides so it doesnt shift too much!

I have only had this for about a week, but it is wonderful. Basically you are sleeping on a huge pillow. I have pretty bad allergies but it is not causing me any issue. My dogs also seem to approve, and really they are the ones who own the bed.

I love the feeling of jumping into bed at night and falling quickly to sleep! That's why I bought this featherbed. It is really comfortable, like sleeping on a cloud. However, I took some stars away for two reasons: (1) for the first time in my life, I have had chronic allergies to down, and (2) there is quite a bit of maintenance to keep it fluffed. Although I've slept with down products my entire life, my allergies seemed out of control within just a few weeks of using this featherbed. After months of allergies / sickness, I finally replaced it with a down alternative and my allergies have subsided. As far as fluffing is concerned, it's necessary to fluff this featherbed about twice a week to maintain it's comfort. Also, it runs small, and my queen-size mattress is exposed by a few inches length & width, even when the featherbed is flattened.
