Even though I love my very soft down pillows I needed more support especially when reading or watching television in bed. I purchased one Candice Olson European Goose Feather and Down Pillow just for myself to see how I liked it, thinking if didn't I could always give it to my husband who isn't as picky as I am. :-) This pillow has just the right kind of firmness although at first I thought it was too firm. Now that I've been using it for two weeks it has softened up a bit but is still firm enough to help keep me supported in bed with my other very soft pillow. I've given up using my ultra soft down pillow and use this one exclusively for sleep. My husband now wants one too so I just ordered another. The pillow protector that comes with it is lovely, and has a nice baffle around the edges. I'm a back and side sleeper and this pillow works well with either position. If you're a 'scruncher' this pillow does scrunch but won't go flat.

I love these down pillows because they are truly a medium firm. I have a herniated disk in my neck and need a firmer pillow for support.

these are medium firmness, but my husband thinks they are too soft, every person has their preference to that "feel": when you you put your head down for the night and these didn't stay @ medium, they just went too soft for his head. I think they are nice to curl around.

Great value for a down pillow. Very comfortable with medium firmness. I sleep every which way and it is comfotable for back, side or tummy sleeping.

The pillow was advertised as medium firm. However, it is way too soft. I would not recommend buying this pillow if you are looking for a medium firm pillow as it is not.

I wondered about buying a pillow online, would it be too soft or to hard? These pillows are great, I am a back and side sleeper and the support on my neck it perfect.

These pillows are exactly what you should expect for the price. You have to remember that these are feather pillows, not down, so they will have a little bit of crunch to them. That said, they fluff nicely, are medium-firm and very comfortable. Great buy!

No odor. Medium-Firm feather pillow. Happy with quality. Would buy again.

I've previously bought circle of down pillows elsewhere. Expected these to be the same -- firm in the middle, soft on the outsides. After a couple of hours these pillows squish flat to only a few inches. I've had to add a third pillow to my normal two to get the height I need. If you're looking for a medium or firm feather pillow -- don't buy these.

I've had this pillow for a few weeks now and I like it pretty well. Your head does sink into it and it feels wonderful, just not quite the medium firmness I would've liked. It doesn't let you head sink completely flat, but a little bit more than I wanted. It does fluff back up almost immediately. Overall, it is a VERY nice pillow, one of the best Down I've ever purchased.

I was hoping to get a medium firm down pillow. These are not that, they are not firm at all. For the cost you can get better pillows than these at Ikea. Good luck.

I have looked and researched this pilllow for a long time before buying because i was worried it would be too limp/soft. It is a nice comfortable pillow; it is not overstuffed like some pillows i have purchased and not too soft either. If you are wanting a firm stuffed pillow this is not the one for you, but it is not a limp soft pillow either. It is just right in the middle, and I have had lots of down pillows, so I know what I am talking about. I have not had it long enough to say how it will last or wear. I have purchased many down pillows on Overstock, and this one is not as firm or filled with down/feathers as much as most of the pillows i have purchased, but it still feels good and has support. I have not had problems with feathers sticking out or anything like that. It is a good medium support down pillow, and i am happy with it. Just hope it lasts.

When I finally received the pillow and used it the first time, it kept my head up so high that I thought I might have to return it. After using it for a few days it " softened up " a little. Now, it is perfect for me. I am a side and belly sleeper and I really like the pillow. It does not flattened out like a " soft " or " medium " down pillow. There was no smell when I removed the plastic covering. I was able to use the pillow the very same night.

The "medium-firm" is inaccurate. These are very nice soft pillows. But if you're looking for medium to firm as I was then this isn't it.

This pillow is advterised as "medium firm." While I am not an expert on rating pillow firmness, it would seem to me that any pillow where your head immediately sinks down to the bottom is nowhere near "firm." The pillow seems well made as long as you prefer soft.

These are excellent pillows, but you have to know what you are getting. These are feather pillows, with a down center. They are (maybe) a medium firmness. They fluff great, and look and feel excellent, but your head does sink right into them. The cover they come in will hold in the feathers. I have not seen any feathers leak out. Personally, I have to have 2 of these, 1 is too soft for me. With 2, it is perfect. These can be scrunched easily, and then will fluff back to full when done if you give them a good 'fluffing'. Overall, a great buy, and I am very satisfied with them.

I AM A LONG TIME USER/FAN OF DOWN PILLOWS. ITS VERY DIFFICULT, IMPOSSIBLE, TO FIND PILLOWS MADE WITH QUALITY DOWN THAT ARE MEDIUM TO FIRM. THE FILL RATING, SHOWING HOW MUCH DOWN IS IN THE PILLOW WAS EXTREMELY HELPFUL. IT LET ME PICK A MEDIUM TO FIRM PILLOW, NO MORE UNDERSTUFFED, SQUISHY PILLOWS. THIS PILLOW IS WONDERFUL AND I AM THRILLED WITH THE QUALITY AND PRICE.

I would only recommend this pillow If you're looking for a very firm pillow. This pillow is definitely not medium soft and in my opinion, can not b characterized as a medium firm. This pillow is potato sack hard. I'm a side sleeper and thought it would b a good idea to follow conventional wisdom and sleep on a pillow that is medium to firm or medium soft, in order to protect my neck, etc.I choose this one because of the fill power and the combination of feather to down. Bought 2 immediately retuned one but with hindsight, I should have returned them both.. I thought I could adjust to the pillow but it just seems like I'm sleeping on a sack filled with sand. It's soft enough that my head makes an imprint, otherwise this pillow lacks flexibility and actually my neck feels worse. It's no wonder that I fall asleep on the pillow but awaken with the pillow lying off to the side.

If your looking for a value for money, comfy, snuggly put your head down go to sleep pillow this is for you. The feathers are lovely and warming and my husband has said he is sleeping better than he does on one we brought elsewhere for $50. They spring back to life after you fluff them and they are suprisingly lightweight. I'd say medium to firm support. Enjoy....
