This featherbed is the best ever!!! No more back pain. I have already recommended this to others. You can't beat the price. No feathers poking thru either. Fluffing it up is not a big deal. You have to do that with feather pillows as well. The cover that comes with it is great as well. I put my fitted sheet under the featherbed , so I don't have to flatten the feathers. Then after the cover is on the featherbed, I put it in a twin size duvet cover and this works as my fitted sheet. It is awesome this way!

Nice featherbed for a good price! Definitely adds some nice fluff and cushion to our bed. Holds it shape well. My only complaint is it is a bit pokey, quite a few feathers have come up through it. I bougth a thick, flannel fitted sheet and put it on under my regular sheets and don't notice it as much now.

I was in the market for a very inexpensive featherbed to help relieve my sore hips. (I am a princess that can feel the pea). After deciding my budget, $100, I spent a LOT of time researching, reviewing, comparing and reading the reviews on nearly all the featherbeds Overstock has. What amused me the most about reading the reviews is how STUPID most folks are when they spend a little bit of money on a item that can range from $50 to $5000. "It was cheap." "It wasn't supportive like my egg crate." "It had feathers poking me." "It didn't go to the edge of my mattress." "It got flat after one night." "It smelled funny." Well, dumb folks: YOU were cheap in what you bought; It is made out of FEATHERS, its supposed to be fluffy; it is MADE out of FEATHERS; Do you sleep on the last 1 inch of your mattress?; It is made of FEATHERS (and down if you spent $$) have you NOT seen a bird fluff itself and suddenly became fluffier?; unless you purchased a hyper-allergic material-filled bed, its going to smell like feathers smell. blah blah blah Funny isn't it? I purchased the Hotel Madison featherbed because it had a down-on-top layer and the powerfill was decent. AND it fit my budget. As it is mostly feathers, it does weigh quite a bit, which helps keep it on the bed. I purchased a separate cover for it to help keep feather poking and escape-age to a minimum (currently, featherbed is under the fitted sheet, I'm currently too lazy to change my sheets). I aired the bed out over night as suggested to help fluff and air it out. The night that I put it on the bed, I was so excited and it really felt so much like sleeping in a feather cloud. Yes, it has compressed, I have slept on it. I will fluff it when the sheets get changed. Yes, it is about .5 to 1 inch short of the edges when fully fluffed: laid upon, it actually hangs off. It smells just like my down comforter, like feathers/down. I did not purchase this bed to be "supportive" as featherbeds are really not meant to be, they are added for comfort, a little padding and warmth. So, if you are not too dumb, and if you purchase this featherbed, you will get: a substantially fluffy, down and feather layered bed topper that is very WARM. It will need to be fluffed regularly, it will possibly need an additional cover (white seems to be standard, yuck), and will keep you toasty warm in a fluffy environ. If the folks that complained over all the other offerings really thought about what they were getting into (and actually READ the descriptions) they will figure out that if they spent $3000 they probably wouldn't have been happier either. To each their own.

I've had this featherbed for a couple of years now. I wouldn't put it under a fitted sheet because it will get flat very quickly. It works best if you sleep directly on it. However, it needs a cover, otherwise you will get stabbed by feathers! It's quite heavy too. But a good feather bed for my needs.

I like this topper but next time I'll pay a little more for the one that attaches to your mattress like a fitted sheet so that it will stay put better.

I really like this featherbed. I searched for a long time before finally deciding on this one, but I do really like it. I let it air out for a few hours when it first arrived, and that seemed to be great. I've now had this for a little over a month, and I still like it. My only complaint is that it does get flat after sleeping on it for a while, but about once a week, I just take off all the sheets and let it air out while I'm gone. I don't use the cover though, because it would be a lot harder to air out and my sheets probably wouldn't fit (even though I have 700 thread count extra deep pocket sheets, they barely fit with just the featherbed). Good purchase, though. If you're on the fence, just go with this one. Also, I don't feel feathers poking, even without the extra cover.

I've tried many foam toppers looking for what would work for me. I finally tried the featherbed topper. So far I love it. You do have to fluff it often but I don't mind that. I simply lift the bottom fitted sheet and shake it up and down. I also rotate it when changing the sheets. I love the feel how it hugs your body. Great product. After trying foam where you sink in and have the hole this when fluffed doesn't do that.

I shopped other sites and stores before settling on this featherbed. As other reviewers commented, it makes up for a too firm mattress and it's a lot less expensive than replacing the mattress. It's also quite heavy. It does get smooshed down as you would expect but I don't like taking off all the sheets to fluff it so that only happens when I change the sheets. But the indentation caused by sleeping in one spot is still soft and cuddly. I also have problems with being too hot at night and this has not made it any worse (contrary to what some reviewers stated). I have slept much better since I put this on my bed. As usual, Overstock delivered quickly and you can't beat the free shipping.

This product solved my problem. Last year my husband and I purchased a Temperpedic mattress. Although I have been happy with it I recently noticed that every morning when I would awake, I felt sore all over. Initially contributing it to "my age," I realized that after I was up and about I was no longer sore. I thought that maybe the featherbed would help -- and it has! It is very cozy to sleep on and I awake with no soreness at all. I think the mattress is just too dense for my body. I love that the cover that came with the featherbed. I only rated the product a "4 Star" because after sleeping on it for several nights, a "hill" develops between my husband and I (obviously because the weight of our bodies push the feathers down). However, when it's time to change the sheets, I just shake the featherbed and reposition the feathers until they are evenly distributed once again.
