I absolutely positively love my down comforter. It is not too heavy not to light and it provides comfort on those chilly nights. I have nothing negative to say about my comforter. I have a California king size bed and the comforter fits perfectly.

My first reaction to the comforter when it arrived was how heavy it was! another customer had written that as well but it was really TRUE. as it slips down the bed during the night, i have to use both arms and a lot of strength to heave it back up to my chin. Aside from being heavy, the down has shifted (we have only had about 1 month) and there are empty areas. I think that bothers me the most as my bed looks so flat after i make it, but also, while I am under it! I returned it and just received the Tommy Bahama one which was less money but feels fluffier already. I hope it feels as nice in a month!

I have only used down bedding in my entire house for over 20 years and the one major problem has always been the baffles actually keeping the down spread evenly. For the first time, Tommy Bahama got it right. The loft is exceptional and the baffling makes it nearly impossible for the down to shift and become lumpy or lopsided. This comforter is definitely for maximum warmth and living north and in the mountains I will probably keep this comforter on all year round. As with any down comforter either get it dry cleaned or use an oversized washer and dryer. This comforter is a great buy and the quality is one i would expect to find in a comforter costing 3 times the amount.

It very well be that the same company that makes the Eddie Bauer comforters also makes this one, but the brand name on the one that I received is Tommy Bahama. This blanket is very warm, a little too warm for me, but if you are cold blooded it would be fine. It does seem well made. I am currently in the market for a less warm one. I am over the Overstock bait and switch tactics that seem to prevalent. I also ordered sheets (ones that I had ordered before) and the quality of the sheets are now total crap. Because I have already reviewed them (very highly might I add,) I can not add a new review or even edit my old one. Now that I know that Overstock Changes the quality while keeping the old reviews and that they take an order for one brand and sends another, I am just over giving them my money. Take everything that they say with a grain of salt.

I have owned down comforters for decades. I know all about the fill vs thread count and this comforter convinced me. When it arrived I loved it because it was soft, really does feel like a cloud. However, it leaks feathers ridiculously! I dry cleaned it once hoping it would help but no luck. I resorted to washing it as the instructions say it is ok to do so. There were feathers everywhere!!! I washed it a second time hoping the more it was washed and dried the fewer feathers would leak. No such luck. What an expensive waste!!! I have purchased many down comforters from O for a lot less and have been raving about the quality. It turns out the two most expensive comforters I purchased (this one and a silk one) have turned out to be a huge waste of money.

The first day we received this we opened it right up and were happy that it didn't have that smell that you sometimes get with down (pillows or comforters). We put it in a duvet cover right away and it was ready for the first night. All night, we were comfortable and warm. We live in Southern California and were hoping that it wouldn't be too warm. It was perfect! The next morning, I didn't want to get out of bed and I was looking forward to going to sleep the next night. It might be a little warm for us once summer rolls around, but it's perfect for now. We'll see and keep our fingers crossed that we can use it year-round. The material is great and we haven't had any issues with those pesky escaping feathers. Overall, very happy with this purchase.

My husband and I bought our first house and wanted new furniture and bedding to go into it. I chose this comforter because we have an unaltered male dog that may or may not mark areas of our bedroom and this is machine washable. It also is baffled, which was very important to me in purchasing a down comforter. I purchased a second at the same time for my son's room. I have had it for a year now, and have washed it several times. It comes out exactly as nice as it was when it went into the washing machine, which is a HUGE plus. It is very warm and comfortable, and I love it. The only complaint I can give it (which is why I am giving it four stars instead of five) is that it comes with "feather dust." What I mean by this is... tiny, TINY feathers escape the comforter and my duvet and POOF around my room causing me to have to be diligent in my vaccuming of the areas around my bed. I can also see small feather "particles" I guess you would call them... on the exterior of my duvet cover. For the price of this item, its overall warmth, durability and washability... I feel that this is a very small downside. I would definitely buy this comforter again, though I think I will be more choosy in the colors and composition of the duvets I use to cover it. It is oversized king but can be smooshed into a queen-sized duvet just as easily. My son did this with his and loves it. No matter how many times we wash and dry them, shaking them out returns them to their previous and FABULOUS loft. I love it, and it is priced very low for the quality!

What a fabulous comforter! It is incredibly light but provides amazing warmth. The exterior fabric is very soft next to your skin. The panels are well stitched, keeping the all important feathers where they should be. It reminds us of the comforters in the W hotels and Riitz. Very luxurious!

This comforter is so thick and fluffy! Very warm and comfortable. I have had a much more expensive down comforter that was not this nice,

This is a great down comforter. Live in the Northeast and need the warmth in the winter, but also is comfortable throughout the year. Just bought another one for the guest room!

I have owned several down comforters and this one by far is great quality for a lower price. If you are like me, and love down for warmth and comfort, you won't be disappointed. I would highly recommend. This product is made well and you won't be disappointed.

very good purchase, same quality as much higher priced comforters. I've had several down comforters over the years and the is is just right weight wise and is very soft without being too "squishy"

People often get confused as to what to look for in a down comforter, and get sidetracked by high thread count. While that's nice and all, and gives you a great sateen silky feel to your cotton shell, it's the fill power that you really want! One of the fluffiest and lightest goose down comforters I've ever used.

I'm extremely pleased with my purchase. This comforter has a comfortable cotton cover, and it's baffle box, so the feathers stay where they are supposed to be (although you should still fluff it regularly). It's just the right amount of warm, which is great because I live in Phoenix - it gets very hot here. This comforter honestly makes me want to stay in bed forever. My pets are ridiculously in love with it, too. FYI: Mine came with a chemical smell and I had to air it out for more than a week before the smell started to dissipate (laid it out flat in a spare room). This smell really scared me, and I thought it might be mold. However, it turned out to be the result of the storage plastic. Overstock tends to store things for longer than other retailers, so this can happen. I washed it in my non-commercial washing machine with vinegar for fabric softener. This helped take the "crisp" out of the fabric. After the washing, many of the smaller feathers started to poke out. I am not sure whether this would have happened if I used a commercial washer. It is kind of annoying, though. I went over it with a lint remover but it didn't help too much. Still, other than only coming in white (I mean, come on, I'm going to mess that up! also hate duvets lol) that's my only complaint.

I was really hoping to LOVE this comforter for this price range. Even though many down high end comforters are three to four times the price, I was very hopeful and possibly my expectations were too high. I am uncertain. It is nice, it is warm, it's a bit heavier than I was expecting.. Just missing some of that magic loft you hope for in a new down comforter. I have been using it since I opened it, and am just hoping to fall in love with it somehow. Can't really say I would recommend it. I guess I would rather spend a little more and be fully happy. Next time I won't order such an item sight un-felt.

This is just what I was looking for very warm, thick, quality construction. No feathers leaking. No clumping. I love it!

It was so nice and fluffy and comfy. I just loved it! It stated machine washable so when it needed washing I put in my front loader and that was the sudden untimely death of it. It ripped up and there were feathers everywhere. I would recommend it as I loved it, but I would NOT wash it!

I love this comforter. It's not too hot yet keeps you warm. Has just the right amount of heaviness. Sewn very well and feathers will not distribute to the outer portion of the comforter like my last one. Great quality and reasonable price!!

It has a great density of down and weight. It is also larger than my previous comforter - which was a hungarian goose down. I really like that as it fills out my comforter covers. Great purchase and will buy again!
