While I prefer a real down pillow, my guests prefer an alternative due to allergies. Everyone has been quite pleased.
Great pillows! My husband and I have various categories to describe the 9 pillows we use on our king bed. There are Squishies; which are cluster puff, down alternative type pillows. Flatties; which are firmer, older pillows that were once good for side sleeping. And Crunchies; which are genuine feather/down pillows. Please keep reading... We always fight over the "Squishies" because they layer nicely for side sleeping and are perfect for back and belly sleeping on their own. Both of us have back problems (I have had double knee surgery & currently have a torn shoulder too) so we are picky folks when it comes to pillows. These are very good quality cluster puff style down alternative pillows. They fit in a standard top loading washer and have retained their "squishy-ness" well. It is often hard to find the perfect pillow in stores. We struck gold here and will order more when we change these out for freshness. A very good buy!
I like the feel and the fluffiness of these pillows, and they keep their shape. They do not specifically stay cool, but they also do not get overly hot where you would have to constantly flip it or find a cool spot. I also like that they are down alternative, as my husband and I both have severe allergies; but they definitely feel like real down. Soft and plushy.
I have always bought down pillows, but decided to try down alternative. I'm pleasantly surprised by how comfortable these are. They provide good support but are not too firm. Would recommend.
I love the fact that this is a down alternative pillow, so you get the comfort without the allergy by-product. However, I have not noticed the temperature regulating properties that is described for this product. Buy it because it's a great pillow, but don't expect it to keep your head cool.
Sometimes down or down-alternative pillows are so soft they compress to nothing. If anything, these are on the slightly firmer side--in a good way. You get the down feel without the "hole" that can sometimes appear after using a down pillow for a while.
I was a bit nervous ordering this pillows because I wanted them to look like down pillow (you know how you can fluff and shape down pillows). I'm am pleased to report you can do that no problem. They are 51% filled with feathers and then the rest is down alternative so they still feel like a down pillow. I got the 28" which is nice and big :)
