  • I came back to buy another!

First let me say I am a downaholic. To me, there is nothing nicer than the feeling of sleeping surrounded by a cloud of down. Down comforter, down pillows and (until now) a feather bed below. - And of course Overstock high thread count sheets, but that's for another review.- Unfortunately "featherbeds" are impossible to find in 100% down so you always have to deal with quills and feathery messes when you change your sheets. My kids love my bed, so I recently purchased them their own featherbeds- with the exception of my youngest who was still potty training. Well he was ready for his featherbed and based on the reviews, the price, and the fact that I am sick of cleaning feathers I decided to give this down alternative a try and OH BOY is it comfortable. It arrrives plump and fluffy, no shaking needed, no airing out of the stinky goose farm smell, no quills or feathers to float off or poke through or shift. And it's like sleeping on a cloud. My 5 year old son no longer creeps into my bed at night to be "comfy" as his is even better than my own real down/featherbed! In fact I actually came back to order one for myself. My only concern is how it will hold up over time. I wish there were more updated reviews that covered the longevity of the product, so I do intend to write an update if it flattens but at this price it was sure worth trying.

  • A Great Buy!!!

I have had many featherbeds, unfortunately feathers always, at one time or another poke out of the cover. THIS is great, you need to shake it a bit from it being bunched up in the box, but lay it out on the bed, and come in and shake, within an hour is was ready to go. We have a new pillow top bed, but still new and needs to be broken in, but I am spoiled miss the featherbed, but this FIBERBED is comfy, it makes shoulder and side sleeing easy, and it is true, a bit hard to get out of bed in the A.M., you find yourself saying "Just 5 more minutes!" You will not be disappointed, worth the money. I just returned a featherbed to a big dept store. by a well named designer, eh, the featherbed had more ends than feathers and cost 3 times more. Go ahead and get a comfy nites sleep, you will be so happy!!! I just told my daughter and she wants one too. -Cindy, Sedalia, MO

  • WOW

What luxury! I love it and the only thing that would make this product better is if it were real down! This was my first bed topper so I thought I'd try the microfil first. Glad I did!

  • Doesn't last

I bought this over a year ago, but thought I would report on it now. It was heavenly when I first bought it, in fact I ordered one for my mom too. But after sleeping on it for several months, the filling shifted causing some very uncomfortable sleeping. I turned it and fluffed it when I changed the sheets, but the filling seems to end up on the edges and top and bottom, nothing in the middle except lumps. It does get warm in the summer as well. It is not a bad price, but I would recommend spending a bit more, and getting a better one. I must say that it doesn't affect my allergies the way an actual featherbed does. This would probably be better for a guest room that doesn't get used every night.

  • Great product for the money

We have never had a feather bed topper, but my husband has some shoulder problems and I had read that they are great for people who have similar pains. He says that it has improved his discomfort when he sleeps. It is very comfortable and warm. It does flatten out quite a bit after a few nights of sleep but I give it a good shake each time i change the sheets and flip it around and it is fine. I would definitely recommend it to others.

  • Very comfortable

Having fibromyalgia this made sleeping possible. It was so comfortable on top of my mattress. I since have bought new gel mattress that isn't suppose to require any additional padding so I gave the old bed and comforter to my son. Needless to say he sleeps in comfort and keeps raving about this. I wish I still had it to sleep on and I may just have to buy me a new one. My son won't give mine back, now is that a good son hehehe....yes buy this, fantastic sleep for the money.

  • fiber bed

I still have this. I love it but I love the new memory foam on the market, it cost much more. In my research with the memory foam, if you are going to spend the money the density needs to be a 4 or 5, VERY important or do not waist your money. If you do not want to spend the money and want something cheaper a fiber bed is good. Only bad thing is you have to re fluff them all the time. The fiber bed will last much longer than the foam toppers.

  • Nope.

Save your money...the fill in this shifted into globby piles that could not be shaken out or into place, creating mounds in some places and bare, empty areas elsewhere. I spent a lot of time trying to pick apart the globs of fill to have it evenly spread out and decided to donate it to Goodwill...not that anyone else would be able to make use of it.

  • Great short term

This fiber bed (topper) was lofty and wonderful when I first got it. However, it shortly became unevenly distributed and lumpy. The sections of fiber balled up in clumps and were impossible to sleep on. If you only need it for a spare bed for a few weekends it is great and inexpensive, but I would not buy it for long term use.

  • It's nice...BUT...

I've had this down bed for about a year now, and I LOVED it at first. It was so incredibly comfy, and with it being alternative down, I didn't have to worry about any allergic reactions. That being said, after I slept on it for a month or two, it got very flat in the space that I typically slept in, but stayed fluffy everywhere else. Okay, I thought, this feels nice too because it's kind of like a cocoon. But after a while it got to where it was impossible to roll over, etc, because the indentation kept me in the same spot no matter what. I tried to fluff it by hand, but to no avail...so I took it to the laundromat and put it into one of the BIG BIG dryers. It fluffed back up in spots, but was 80% lumpy. Now when I sleep on it, it's nowhere near as nice as when I first bought it. The quality of the craftsmanship and fabric, I give an A. Overall, they were great! I was just really bummed by the quick loss of fluff. :o( All in all, I would probably purchase this again as it was a good deal for the size I got (King). But I think I may try a real feather bed and see how that works.
