I have been a good customer of Overstock for many years and purchase frequently. I ordered 3 of these king sized Down Alternative 300 Thread Count Comforters for my grandchildren. I custom made duvet covers for all of them with matching pillow cases etc and because of my work schedule, was terribly late in finishing these gift sets. The comforters arrived just in time for me to get all of them sent off as gifts. To my horror every single one of the comforters looked like two pieces of very cheap cotton sewed together with pockets filled with a single WAD/LUMP of batting in each pocket, some lumps bigger than others. I had no time to reorder/return. I simply counted on a decent product from Overstock, having read the reviews of this comforter.

I bought this because I had to replace my favorite down comforter after learning that I have severe dust mite allergies. I chose this one because it said that it was machine washable and it had great reviews. Initially, I agreed with the other reviewers--it is extremely comfortable and the perfect weight for the spring/summer in the northeast. With my duvet on, I could hardly tell that it wasn't a down comforter. However, the very first time that I washed it (in accordance to the label attached to the comforter), the seams ripped apart and the stuffing started coming out. I've had other machine washable comforters for years and never had this problem. Initially it seemed to be of good quality, but now when I inspect it, the quality of the materials and the construction seems questionable (the piping around the edges came off in some places, and the cotton cover tore as well). So if you're looking for something that you intend on machine washing, I wouldn't recommend this.

This comforter looked very nice out of the box, but it had only been on the bed for a few days before the fill began to clump up, leaving bare--and cold--spots. It is very skimpy in size, just covering the top of the twin bed. After washing, according to instructions, in a large-capacity machine--the clumping is worse. I needed something to keep my daughter warm in her cold bedroom during the winter, and this isn't going to work. I'm very disappointed in this comforter, and am still looking for something warm for my daughter's bed!

I would recommend looking closer at the dimensions and possibly ordering a size larger. The twin comforters I ordered barely came over the sides of the bed.

I bought this Item over 7 Months ago and i hate it, because it makes it really really hard to get out of bed every morning, it is so soft confortable warm and on top it looks good.

This Down Alternative comforter is the best comforter I have ever slept with. I think it is even better then regular down. It is so soft and I can't wait to go to bed every night. It was such great quality for the price I was shocked. I Love it!!! If you not sure about down alternative buy this one it is the best. All you have to do when you receive it is put it in the dryer on fluff for a couple of minutes and it's great. I also received it very quickly in like 3 days. Overstock.com is the best thank you.

This is a great comforter if you have allergies to down. It is light, but will keep you warm. It is a tight fit for a queen bed, but it still looks good.

This comforter is exactly what I expected. As soon as it arrived I ended up falling asleep with it...it's so soft, and although I did find two places where the thread had unraveled a bit, it was an easy fix. It's not too hot for summer, and seems like it would be very warm come wintertime. I'm very, very happy with this purchase.

This comforter is very good quality. The look and feel of it are great. It has washed many times very well. My only issue would be the sizing. It's too short for the bed. I had purchased it as a full cover and it's too small. I have to use it under a coverlet strictly for warm and comfort. Not exactly the 'look' I was trying to achieve. Still a fantastic value and good quality.

i am very sad to say that this blanket is missing fill in most pockets. I have has very good luck with overstock and this will be my first return. Also it came dirty with some stains. too bad : (

Excellent product - very light (so if you want that "heavy comforter feel" this is not the best product - I did NOT want that) but does the trick (warmth, etc.) - you want to buy this to put inside a duvet cover (comforter itself is basic white and needs a cover).

This alternative down comforter has very uneven distribution of fiberfill stuffing. Some squares are stuffed very full, others have very little stuffing with causing some areas of the squares to have nothing but the outer fabric filling the space which would definitely create cold spots. Also they must have run short of outer fabric as there was an add on piece of fabric to make up the last two rows on one end.

Bought this for my mom who is allergic to feathers but wanted a warm "down" comforter. I got her this one, and she thinks it is real feathers---"it's SOO warm and cozy" she says. "I feel like I'll never be cold again in my cozy DOWN" comforter. I don't have the heart to tell her it's down alternative---but the best part is she can't tell the difference because of the quality of this comforter. If you want the warmth, and luxury feel of down without the mess and allergies of feathers---this is the BEST alternative for the price you will find. Get it!!

I purchased this comforter one size larger (king) for my duvet queen and it fit perfectly so it does run small.

After buying this same conforter a few months ago for myself , my sister came over and she loved it, so I desided to buy this one for her ...her and her husband are very satisfied with it and so am I with mine. very soft and light, very good for our weather here in florida.

The only complaint I have is I wish it was a bit longer. It is so comfortable it is so hard to get out of bed in the morning and I can't wait to get into bed at night. My dogs would only sometimes sleep on the bed with us but since I received this they have been on the bed every night. I'm going to buy a duvet cover so that it doesn't get ruined. HTH

Its a VERY small and thin comforter. Does not fit a queen size bed, but might work for a double. Its pretty thin and light weight, which is fine since I live in Houston, but I wouldn't suggest it for northern climates.

I followed someone elses review and ordered one size up, I ordered a King for a Queen bed. Perfect fit. I bought a queen at the store and it was too expensive and too small. that was before I learned about Overstock! Love it! It's soft and full and flufffy!

The comforter was exactly like the description. In fact, a lot better than I had expected for the money! Forget trying to find sales at department stores, this is the place to get a bargin! Highly recommend this comforter. It is really warm too!

We purchased and gave this comforter as a present. I know first-hand that the recipient absolutely loves it and even during the heat of summer, is using it on her bed. She stated that she wraps up in it and falls into a "dreamy sleep!" We would definitely purchase this product again.
